Chapter 843: Chapter 839: Gifts for the Children

Isabelle Bailes looked nervous.

“Richelle, can you not mention this to Professor Seaton?”

Richelle Dunn nodded, “Sure, I wasn’t planning on bringing it up anyway. This matter is a private one between you and me, and it won’t be mentioned in your internship report.”

Isabelle Bailes breathed a sigh of relief.

After Richelle clarified everything for her, Isabelle seemed to let go of her worries.

“Okay, you go on and focus on your work. Keep it up!”

After Isabelle Bailes left, Richelle organized some documents and had a video chat with Kendrick Yacoub. Then, she checked on Dylan Collins’ condition.

Dylan Collins was now able to move around on his own. Upon seeing Dr. Dunn, he hurriedly approached her.

“Dr. Dunn…”

His post-surgery recovery was quite good, but his overall health was poor. His speech was a little stammering, and his recovery was noticeably slower than when Roy Lewis was in the same situation.

Richelle smiled at him, “How’s the exercise going?”

Dylan Collins nodded, “Thank you for… coming to… see me, even though you’re… so busy.”

Richelle placed the bag she was carrying on his bedside table, “My child is just over five years old too. These books and clothes were bought in excess or duplicated at home. They were just lying around at home, being wasted. So, I thought maybe your children could use them.”

Although that was what Richelle Dunn said, in reality, she had specifically chosen the items inside the bag.

Considering his family’s financial difficulties, with two children aged ten and six years old, their everyday lives were probably just getting by. Providing for other necessities would surely be difficult for them.

Especially now, as Dylan was recovering with little to no income.

Dylan Collins’ eyes reddened, “Dr. Dunn… Thank you so much…”

Richelle shook her head, “It’s my responsibility, no need to thank me. Just focus on your recovery so your wife can worry less about you.”

Dylan Collins hurriedly nodded, “I have b…been following the doctor’s instructions for… rehabilitation… I will try my… best…”

Richelle gave him a few more words of comfort before she left the ward, silently sighing to herself.

A few days prior, when Dylan Collins’ wife had come to visit, she had left one thousand yuan for the hospital director, insisting that it was to be used for part of the medical expenses.

The hospital director asked Richelle Dunn what to do. Richelle transferred the one thousand yuan to Mr. Jarvis, added several thousand yuan to make it ten thousand, and asked him to find a way to have it appear as a subsidy from their department and send it back to the Collins family.

At dinner that night, Grandpa Axel suddenly asked about Dylan Collins’ situation.

Richelle briefly explained his condition and mentioned their difficult circumstances unintentionally.

Timothy blinked his eyes and asked Richelle Dunn.

“Mommy, can we make some toys to give to this uncle’s children?”

Tifanny also asked.

“Yeah! I have so many toys and small books that I can share with them.”

Timmy chimed in as well.

“I have lots of models and other toys in the storeroom, too. Mommy, you should ask Grandpa Axel!”

So, what began as a discussion about sharing toys and gifts with the Collins children eventually led Uncle Axel, Richelle, and the three children to the large Southern storage room.

The room was filled with boxes upon boxes, all of which were said to be the gifts Timmy had received since he was born.

There were learning supplies, clothes, and toys.

Richelle Dunn originally had other plans for that evening, but when she saw the room filled with items, she decided to postpone her other tasks.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

As she rolled up her sleeves, she asked the three little brats, “Sweethearts, do you have any special plans tonight?”

The three kids never brought homework back home, so the so-called special arrangements were actually just the study plans they made according to their preferences.

The three children were enthusiastic and followed Richelle in rolling up their sleeves.

“Mommy, our plans aren’t important, what do you want us to do?”

As the eldest brother, Timmy spoke both for himself and his brother and sister.

The three siblings indeed had a strong mental connection with each other.

As soon as Timmy finished speaking, Timothy and Tifanny nodded their heads enthusiastically in agreement.

Richelle pointed to the numerous boxes in the storeroom.

“These items are of no use to us. So why don’t we sort them out and donate them to children in need, okay?”

The three children clapped their hands and agreed.

Though Richelle had been living here for several months, she was too busy to even open the door to the storeroom, let alone explore it.

Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Collins, and the other two maids also came to help.

Tifanny was in charge of recording items on the iPad while everyone else helped in opening the boxes and counting the contents.

They spent nearly until eleven o’clock at night sorting everything out.

Since tomorrow was Saturday, Richelle let the children stay up and help record and sort the items.

“Baby, you have more inventory here than a small stationery store.”

After Timothy and Tifanny had moved in, Richelle had been more restrained in her purchases.

And those who had previously given gifts didn’t do so as much, thanks to Richelle’s discouragement.

“So how do we give these things to the children in need?”

Richelle thought for a moment, “Why don’t we take half a day off tomorrow and visit an orphanage to see other children?”

The items in the storeroom would hardly be given a second glance by the three children.

But for those kids without family love and care, such items could be precious gifts.
