Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 301The Seal [2]

All three boys, barely managing to keep their composure and serious expression, simply pretended to talk in silence.

Raven, his eye twitching and threatening to destroy this act, stared at Ren.

Reading Raven's expression as, "When is this bullshit going to be done!?" Ren promptly raised one finger, indicating one minute.

On the other hand, Zeng actually seemed to be enjoying the experience... a little too much.

His mouth was opening and closing as if he were actually screaming at the top of his lungs.

The sound of his saliva sloshing together filled the silence, making the situation even more uncomfortable and comical for Ren.

Unable to keep his expression straight anymore, Ren finally opened his mouth one last time before saying out-loud.

"Looks like we've come to an agreement."

Sighing in relief, Raven clasped his hands together and nodded his head in agreement.

But...someone didn't get the memo. Stay updated via empire

Zeng, with his mouth wide open, yelled ecstatically.

"NO WE HAVEN'T!"

"..."

As Zeng's scream echoed throughout the silent vault, Ren put one hand on his sword while Raven slammed his palm against his forehead.

Behind the three boys, Zach and Irene actually stepped in, shocked by the sudden change in volume.

Kaneki, turning around, glanced at every single person before placing a hand on his katana, ready to strike.

Seeing the main cast ready to attack them in a matter of seconds, Ren immediately stood up and desperately waved his hands around before saying.

"No, no, no...we were talking about something else."

"...?"

Clearing his throat, Ren glanced around from the main cast and at the floor before awkwardly saying.

" *ahem* We couldn't quite come to a decision regarding what we would be eating tonight."

"..."

As the main cast stood in absolute silence, barely managing to keep a straight face, Ren continued.

"As for the other point...after a long and interesting debate, we have decided to partake in your plan instead of creating our own."

On the other hand, Lily could be seen banging her head on the wall with a serious expression.

Standing behind Lily, Alya stepped forward, attempting to calm her down and asking.

"Lily...what's wrong."

Shaking her head, Lily rubbed her forehead before muttering.

"I thought I had at least one serious person in this room to help me with this, but I guess I'm wrong."

Standing behind them, both Lily and Alya, Astrid stared at the three boys with both a confused and nervous expression.

Locking her gaze onto Raven, Astrid placed a hand on her wand as she silently whispered.

"Did he...just sing my song!?"

With her mouth wide open, Astrid's gaze locked onto Raven as he stood up and began speaking with the main cast.

"...it can't be...a fan!?"

Interrupting Astrid's thoughts, Alya sighed before saying.

"Student council president...is there something wrong with you as well?"

Snapping out of her trance, Astrid vehemently shook her head before turning back to face Lily, who was still examining the wall.

Back on the other side of the vault, Ren and his two teammates walked toward the main cast's huddle with determined expressions.

After that shitshow...they probably seemed like idiots to the main cast, so they needed to reform their image.

Leading the group, Ren exchanged nods with Kazuki while Kaneki simply stared and entered the huddle.

And just as Kazuki was about to open his mouth to explain their strategy, the unknown finally sounded again.

"That's enough prep time...now it's time for the real show to commence!"

*FLICKER*

*FLICKER*

As the owner of the unknown voice's words echoed throughout the vault, the lights inside suddenly started flickering on and off.

One second, it was pitch-dark.

And the next, it was all lit up.

Repeatedly and repeatedly, the lights flicked on and off, throwing everyone in the room off.

Seeing everyone begin to cover their eyes, Kaneki immediately jumped into action, unsheathing his katana.

Swinging his katana five times in quick succession, Kaneki watched as five dark green slashes appeared before charging away.

Each slash charged towards one of the five light fixtures in the room.

Within seconds, the slashes hit their targets, immediately ceasing the flickering of lights and plunging the room into pure darkness.

Shrugging his shoulders, Kaneki looked up at the ceiling, presumedly talking to the owner of the unknown voice, before saying.

"If you can't choose light or dark, I'll choose for you."

Behind Kaneki, Ruby and Irene immediately manifested eight mini torches before passing them around to everyone in the huddle.

Standing still for a moment, Ren peered through the darkness of the room, making sure that Lily and the magical seal were all right.

And indeed, Lily, Astrid, and Alya were all standing in front of the wall with their weapons drawn.

Seeing this, Ren quickly scanned the rest of the darkroom; however, to his shock, there was no one else besides them.

Perhaps the person had a way to avoid his eyesight?

Considering all the various abilities and skills in the world, it was possible...but Ren still found it hard to believe.

Picking up a torch and handing it to Raven and Zeng beside him, Ren glanced at Liam and Kevin, curious to hear their takes.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

As if responding to Ren's gaze, Liam held up his torch, illuminating the ceiling before saying.

"What if he's not after the vault but one of us?"

Shaking his head, Kevin recalled the information that Lily had divulged to them about the vault and its possible danger.

Raising his head, Kevin swiftly argued back.

"If he gets in the vault, then we're dead anyway. There was no point in targeting one of us when he could just kill everyone."

"..."

Taking a slight glance at someone in the group, Ren, finally on Liam's side for once, calmly said.

"If he wanted his target dead and the vault robbed, that would have already happened. He has to have another intention."

"He might want us or...his target alive."
