The World's most Overpowered Side-Character

Chapter 401 Return to The Khalla Cluster.

"Then you are-"

"The Tyrant Blood Raven who singlehandedly brought Source to the brink of destruction." Xie answered with a bright smile.

"If yo are a demon then there is no way you and master will be allies," Jena shook her head in refusal to accept Xie's claim. "I only contradict your statement because you do not have the presence of a demon."

"I assure you, I am, and I am also sure that Soverein is aware of what I am, after all, we made a Mana-Soul pact, he and I are tethered to each other, but as he was teh victor he should already have figured it out," Xie answered Jena with a nonchalant shrug. "Besides..."

"Besides?" Yu stared at him, this man was interesting; an ancient relic capable of destroying Source all by himself, and yet he had fallen into Sol's hand.

"Yes, besides." Xie nodded. "Sovereign is not the same person he was a year ago, when he showed up at the edges of my entrapment I used a lot of power to trap him inside-"

"So you're the reason he-"

"No," He looked at Grecia. "He was still unconscious and simply drifted close enough where my mana could catch him, he woke up two days ago and spent the first day defying me, and then the second trying to free me, he is an honest and hardworking man, but most of all he is blessed by fate more than anyuone else I have ever seen, even the Golden Godslayer of my time.

"That's right, you said there was another like Master in your time..." Jena stared at him curiously. "What was he like, did he and master share any similarities?" She asked.

"The Golden Godslayer is different from the others of his kind, he is a will passed down with a fragment of light within him, his growth and power will exceed all his peers even if he is a lazy cultivator, but most interesting is his relationship with fate." Xie explained with a thoughtful gaze, finding it amusing that he had to explai this to someone, it was common knowledge in his time.

"They are one per generation and they are the only beings capable of completely severing their tether to the threads of fate, no matter how we try there is a limit we eventually reach, but a Gidslayer of Gold is a being that defies the fabric of creation, time, space and reality, an anomaly which shatters causality by simply existing, and they all share a rather annoying trait."

"Which is?" Jena pressed for more information while she uploaded everything to th e codex, organising it with what she alredy knew and making corrections to the information she already had.

"Their thirst for the peak of power," Xie huffed. "The only reason I lost was because one of them came after me, source would not exist and I would have lived my life and died, yet because if him I was trapped."

"I thought you said that you were stronger than the three who confronted you." Fuhua spoke up. "It sounds like the Godslayer was your opponent."

"Indeed he was." Xie admitted." He could hold his own against me with effort, he was not equal in strength but he was annoyingly close to it, his presence there was the deciding factor-"

Xie and the four of them experienced a new wave of mana surge pass them an dcrash into the tree, enriching it and causing a new wave of branches to sprout out of the blue.

"That was fast..." Jena blinked several times and then vanished, after her Fuhua disappeared, and then Grecia and finally Yu.

"Am I going to remain h-"

"-ere?" Xie paused when he found himself at Sol's side staring at a shattered universe.

"Master, what is this, did you attack another sector before leaving Source?" Yu asked seeing nearly no living stars and finding no life signatures otherwise.

"This is not Source," Jena looked up at Sol who had a dark expression on his face as he stared through the shattered sector. His appearance had returned to normal but there was even more malice inside of him than before, he was fuming.

"Where are we?" Grecia asked,

"This is the edge of Khalla-Nova, the Collective that Master and I last sensed Milady and company a year ago, and judging by the destruction here, this was not die to a war, it was a one-sided assault, much like the one in the Grnand Fae Dimension was a few minutes ago.

"I thought you said the journey was a week long -"

"I followed Ikaris's mana, locked on to it, and this is where I ended up," Sol answered, silencing everyone.

"But there is no sign of a living being anywhere near us..." Fuhua's whispered, slowly going more quiet when Sol craned his neck and stared at her.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"She is alive, Ling, but I cannot say the same for a lot of the people who are with her." Sol stared at the shards of fractured reality passing by with Dr'ul and Renia's mana attached to them. "Ikaris was indeed confronted by Umbra here, I can sense her and his residual mana everywhere."

"Then, is she-"

"No," Sol answered, breathing a sigh of relief and then slowly turning his head towards a space of emptiness. "It seems she escaped, she was hurt, but she gor away, right?" Sol stared at the space intently. "Giza."

"My, you are as perceptive as ever, Sol Vestic," The woman's head poked through the veil and she smiled at him, the first thing that Sol noticed was the blue in her hair, still there but it had not changed one bit since the last time he saw it. "I tought you dead, but it seems it was a misconception based on my hopes." She continued to emerge while Fuhua, Yu, and Grecia seemed to freeze as soon as they caught on to her presence.

"Oh..." Xie stared at Giza in utter awe and shock. "What is this?" The man asked.

"You have brought some interesting allies here as well, it seems your destination that time Was Source, as I had suspected." Giza chuckled softly, slowly floating pass Xie and resting her hand on Sol's chest. "I still remember it as vividly as it happened, Sol, that power; that warmth that you struck me with."

"You're afraid of Ikaris, aren't you?" Sol asked, and saw Giza's expression flinch before she smiled and chuckled.

"I fear nothing, I fear nobody," Giza ran her fingers across Sol's collar and stood behind him, one hand placed against his chest from beneath his arm and the other across his neck while she rested her chin on his shoulder and hugged him slowly. "Well, maybe I could fear you if you continue to grow at such an astounding rate... though, I sense a lot more darkness inside of you, Sol Vestic."

"What happened here?" Sol asked, standing still with his eyes closed while she continued to hold on to him, breathing small huffs of dark mana while individual strands of her hair were being slowly converted into blue.

"Where do I even begin?" Giza chuckled. "My Lord was furious that you had abandoned the Grand Collevctive for someplace else, he sought to destroy everything that you had left behind, but in the midst of battle a man calling himself Zhang Yu intervened, and behind him stood an army of thousands of powerful warriors."

"Umbra was overwhelmed and had to retreat because of Zhang Yu, and so he has gone into secluded gathering once more, Khalla-Boris, Khalla-Nova, Khalla-Chrima, Khalla-Geta, My Lord has eaten away at the Khalla Cluster and made a name for himslelf across the Grand Collective as the man destined to dethrone Sol Vestic."

"They survived... but why am I unable to contact Mom?" Jena looked to Sol for an answer.

"Oh little one, the Goddess of Balance and her followers have all gone into hiding, after my Lord destroyed that Arkadia Place, they all fled at the beckon of Zhang Yu, who feared my power the most."

"Coward..." Xie commented, but averted his eyes as soon as Giza turned her gaze to him.

"I remember you, Xie Tsung, I witnessed your great defeat at the hands of the three stringest to ever walk Source, aside from yourself of course." Giza taunted him.

"W-what is your goal for meeting us here?" Fuhua asked, defying her body and fear and staring at the Dark One directly, regretting it but staring nontheless.

"Interesting indeed, each of them have a very unique blood, this one is without a doubt the Goddess of Balance's kin, she may not look like her but she stinks of her blood, it would please me to destroy her with my own hands and deliver her head to Ikaris personally, when she finally reveals herself, that is."

"You will do no such thing, Giza," Sol grabbed her by her hand when she started to slowly approach Grecia. "Stay away from her," He glared, and as he did the golden rings on his chest and back began grinding and humming while they spun.

"Back off."
