The World's most Overpowered Side-Character

Chapter 400 The Tyrant Blood Raven.

"Even if it means..." Xie stared at Sol. "I thought you were a more pure being, then again I have never seen one entity capable of housing both light and darkness at the same time." The man chuckled, watching star after star get extinguished and feeling Sol's mana swell with ecery passing second.

"Here he comes." Sol leaned his head and stared to the skies above them, seeing a star shift several times before vanishing and a large Fae man appearing in its wake.

He made no gestures, he made no sound, he had come to kill and upon his approach Xie began cackling as he turned his eyes to him as well and leapt upwards, meeting the Fae man before he could reach Sol whom he was targeting.

"Out of my way foreigner!!" The Grand fae Elder shrieked in horror, blocking Xie's hamd with a staff in his grasp and trying to fly around him, but like a feather, Xie swept behind the Elder's mana and grabbed his foot just before his staff made contact with Sol and tossed him skyward again.

"I am afraid the Sovereign has been wronged by your people, he is sparing the captives who can manage to escape from your Dimension in time, but as you can see, Fae Elder, everything that your light touches will die here today, that is his will, and you have no power that can stop him!"

Xie cackled, catching the fae man again and tossing him when he tried bypassing him to reach Sol. "Are you deaf!?" The Raven continued to bully and poke fun at the Fae until the man gave up on reaching Sol, devising that he was too powerful to ignore as well.

"What did they do that warrants the destruction of my people?!"

"Huh?" Xie leaned his head, cleaning his ear with his pinky finger and chuckling in disbelief. "Are you deaf or did I use the wrong words, Elder?" He asked.

"The mistake of a single tribe is not enough to destroy an entire race!!" The Fae Elder grasped his staff with both hands and began conjuring clouds from the void towards them. "You have forced me to raise my hand in violence, you will not escape this place alive, I swear it!!" He exclaimed.

"Aw~" Xie yawned lazily, holding a single hand to the sky and forming a dome that swallowed the entirety of the forming cloud, turning it into pure mana which then dispersed into the Void again. "Is this the so-called power of a Heavenly Ancestor these days, has Source become soft in my absence?" He asked.

"You-" The elder narrowed his emerald eyes in shock and impatience, trying again to summon the clouds from afar, but once again, Xie yawned and vanquished them before they even arrived. "What are you, how can you so easily counter- Gah!!" The elder folded forward, coughing up nlood when a spear bedded itself through his stomach, courtesy of Sol Vestic having completely eaten away at the Dimension.

"Oh, you managed to harm him that easily?" Xie looked over his shoulder at Sol just as he was passing.

"He is weak, compared to Zhang Yu, this bastard is a weakling!" Sol exclaimed, grabbing the spear while it was still inside of the Elder's abdomen and morphing it into a serrated sword, tearing it free with a roar and blocking the staff of the shocked elder, backing away and staring at his broken hand with a frown.

"Zhang Yu?" Xie seemed excited. "Little Zhang made it to the peak of cultivation, hahaha I must have been imprisoned longer than I thought if that talentless little rookie made it this far!" Xie laughed, appearing at Sol's side and blocking several fast staff attacks from the elder with a single hand and then looking at Sol.

"Sovereign, even if he is weak in comparison, a Heavenly Master is still a Heavenly Master, be mindful of how you approach them in the future, allow me to handle them until you can stand on your two feet."

"Huh..." Sol lowered his gaze, staring at how long it had taken his hand to heal after the attack. "I am still too weak, if I hadn't been inactive for over a year-" He stopped.

"Master?" Jena who had remained quiet after trying and failing to analyse Xie started feeling Sol's mana rising again.

"Kill him and let's go, right now, no more dawdling." Sol ordered the man next to him, and immediately the jovial facade Xie wore turned deadly when he grabbed the staff of the desperate elder and crushed the head of it with his bare hand.

"Then, please excuse me," Xie began walking across the air towards the Fae. "Your time here is up, I will make good use of your Dimension, Fae Elder, this will be a warning to those who rely on their power to bully my Sovereign and his people!"

He held out his hand, freezing the mana inside of and around the elder, immobilizing him in an instant and allowing the staff to shatter one bit at a time as he walked towards the Fae. "I will leave a mark here for those who dare to follow, remember the name Xie Tsung who killed you, and the name Sol Vestic, the Sovereign who's name you were killed in!"

Xie grabbed the elder by his face and shoulder, opening his mouth around his neck and biting into his flesh after all his teeth sharpened and became tall and serrated.

His jaw expanded, making way as he released the crying Elder and bit into his flesh again, draining him of blood and mana simultaneously until all that remained was a husk of a man before them.

"He killed him that easily, the Elder was completely overpowered, casually..." Jena mused, watching the husk fall to the surface beneath them.

"Jena," Sol turned his back to the scene, ignoring her words of obvious concern and fixating his eyes towards the Grand Collective. "We're leaving, focus."

"Yes, Uncle."

"Sovereign, how shall we journey?" Xie approached them, daintily wiping the Fae blood off his lips.

"In style," Jena answered and then disappeared from sight, seeking Sol's soul after he opened it up again.

"You too." Sol extended his hand towards Xie and the man felt a pull against his soul and mana that not even he could resist, in just a few seconds he too was gone, sent into Sol's soul directly at the base of the divine tree where he found the other women Sol had rescued standing and conversing with Jena.

"Girl, is this some kind of prison?" Xie asked, walking over to Jena whilst also staring at the other three, they were clearly traumatised the last time he saw them, but inside of this place that felt warm and timeless the women were smiling and chatting haughtily.

"What is happening here?"

"You are?" Yu stepped between Xie and Jena blocking him from the others as well.

"I am Xie, milady, I serve Sovereign Vestic same as you do," He politely bowed and then raised his head and looked upwards at the great tree, once Golden, the tree was now twice the size it had been before, and the bark and branches had become a brilliant orange, while only the leaves retained their golden colour.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"This feels like an entire dimension to itself, completed with endless realities..."

"This is the Sol Collective," Jena answered.

"Collective?" Xie's eyes began widening even more as he stared across the tree that not even he could completely scan because of its vastness. "An entire collective inside of a pocket dimension, Sovereign is a remarkable man after all!" He grinned, slowly floating off the ground towards the tree.

"I implore you, do not act rashly here, nor cause harm to anything, this is not just some dimension, master Xie, this is Master's Soul, we are physically inside of his soul." Fuhua called to Xie before he could storm off, and a moment later the man was sitting in meditation next to her.

"I do not understand." Xie opened one eye. "How is such a thing possible? I have never heard of someone's soul extending to the vastness of a collective before, not even in my time."

"Master is unique-"

"Undoubtedly, he holds within him the smaller half of the first Light along with the essence of demonkind, he is one of a kind, but even that does not explain why he is able to achieve this, if the other Heavenly Masters had caught on he would already be dead, or imprisoned like I was," he stared at her for an answer. "Can you tell me more about the man we serve while he travels?"

"We have no idea who you are yet." Yu narrowed her eyes at him. "How do you know Master, and do you know why he has been missing for a year?"

"I am from a time long passed, a relic of what source used to be," Xie began. "I was once the prince of the Third Realm." He stared at them, smiling slightly when he saw Grecia's eyes widen in horror. "I see at least one of you know what that means.

"The Third Realm, also known as the realm of demons," Grecia responded. "I know of it from ancient scrolls and texts, it is impossible for anyone aside from a true immortal to live that long, the Third Realm was completely destroyed when Source was in its infancy!"

"Indeed, and I was forced to flee into the new Source, I killed most of the masters who waged war against my people, but in the end I ran out of luck and was cornered by the three strongest, the Vatui King, the Human Sovereign and the legend, the man who at the time had inherited the first light, A Godslayer much like Sovereign Vestic, the three were individually weaker than me, but together they were overwhelming." He frowned.

"You were sealed... trapped inside of an infant star and set to roam source for all eternity, perishing when the star perished." Grecia finished his story.

"Indeed!" Xie clapped and smiled at her while his eyes turned red and his canines became fangs.

"Then, you are-"

"Xie Tsung, Prince of darkness and the last descendant of the Third Realm, the Tyrant Blood Raven who singlehandedly brought Source to the brink of destruction."
