Chapter 376 - Why...
This time, Aiden could finally concentrate on the messages in front of him without getting that annoying voice into his ears.
"Alright, now where was I?"
Aiden scanned the messages and continued where he had left off, the leveling messages.
"Right, I should apply those stat points."
As he said that he decided to apply ten points in agility, five points in strength, and five points in dexterity.
"Oh, the rewards aren't written there. I'll need to wait until they teleport me, huh?"
Aiden was currently saying all this out loud, not bothering about Evelynn listening as he knew that she wouldn't be able to talk about any of this if she asked her to.
'I'll just give her that order afterward.'
Aiden wasn't stressed about that. He was currently wondering about the rewards that he would be getting. That was the only thought that was on his mind.
'So, I won't get any more information about them? When am I going to be teleported to the Reward Room?' Aiden said to himself.
The system was clearly listening to his thoughts which caused a message to appear right in front of him.
[You will be teleported when you wish to.]
Aiden nodded as this was the first time that he didn't have any sort of timer which meant that he could potentially spend as much time as he wished here. However, there was no point whatsoever.
His real life was back on Nova with Melinda and the Emberbane Family at the moment.
Aiden still ignored the conversation between Sylas and Melinda, and he would surely be extremely surprised when he learned of it.
He would surely be mad about it, actually, he might be pleased as he would be able to learn more about his old family since he still ignored everything about it.
Hell, he knew more about the Lumithars than that family which didn't make any sense. They weren't even part of Nova and he knew more about them as he even had a conversation with one of them in the past.
"You can speak again."
Aiden gave that order as he wanted to at least talk to her before leaving because it was because of her that he had been able to kill the director.
"Look, just listen. I'll tell you some things, so just listen."
Aiden looked at her and waited for Evelynn to calm down before continuing.
"First off, I want to thank you for everything that you did in the past days. It's because of you that I was able to complete this hellish trial. Without you, it would have been possible, but a lot harder especially after all the mistakes that I made over time."
Evelynn nodded, not saying anything. She was starting to appreciate this conversation as
Aiden was thanking and complimenting her which wasn't something that she had experienced often at all.
"Secondo, I regret some of the words I used in the past minutes. It's not true that I don't care about you, it was just because of all the emotions that I was feeling and the stress that I was under."
Evelynn nodded even if she didn't really agree with everything that Aiden had just said.
"Maybe your emotions played a part, but you literally shouted that you never cared about me, that's different."
Evelynn remembered all the sentences that he had used and she was still deeply hurt by it, there was no doubt about that.
Aiden had to admit that she wasn't wrong with what she just said. However, he wouldn't admit it out loud as he knew that he needed to keep his excuse valid.
"Anything else?"
He was very arrogant when he said that as he even raised his head and pumped his chest while saying that.
Evelynn closed her mouth as she remembered that Aiden had told her that she would only be finished speaking.
"Thank you. Thirdly, I need to tell you that we won't be seeing each other in the future. Actually… it will take a long time for each other again. However, I want to ask you something. If I ever come back to see you again, will you help me?"
Evelynn looked at him, and she was still extremely confused about all this.
"Why are you even asking? I won't be able to refuse you, I signed a Slave Contract with you."
'Oh, right! That's true, then that's perfect,' Aiden thought as he would always have someone to count on in this world.
"Right, then it's perfect. By the time I return, try to get as strong as possible! Can you do that for me?"
Evelynn looked at him, confused as to where this was coming from. However, she nodded, and the first thing that she would have to do was get her mana back.
"Sure, I'll try to."
"Then I guess it's time for us to say goodbye to each other. Oh, and before I leave, don't say anything about our conversation to anyone."
Purple energy started coming out from her chest which meant that the order had gone through and had worked.
"Alright, then… later!"
He made a quick wave before his body started disappearing into particles.
As Aiden said that he asked the system to bring him to the Reward Room and he disappeared right in front of her eyes.
Evelynn looked at the exact spot where he disappeared and wondered where he had just disappeared.
"I guess he didn't lie earlier, he really did come from another world, huh?"
"I wonder how many worlds are out there?"
Many questions started to pop up inside her mind, and she had to admit that she couldn't help but wonder if it wasn't just a dream or if it actually happened.
"Can he even come back? I guess his skills make sense now. They didn't even come from our world in the first place."
Evelynn dismissed her thoughts as she knew that she would never have any idea as to when he would be coming back to this world.
She could guess that it wasn't the first time that he had done something like this and it wouldn't be the last one.
"Whatever, let's go see Anna. He told me to get stronger, so I basically had no choice but to do that," Evelynn muttered as she looked down toward the purple energy that was situated around her chest.
'If only I hadn't signed that Slave Contract,' she thought as she knew that she wouldn't be able to talk about anything that had happened between Aiden and the director. It would be her little secret that she would have to hide to the best of her abilities.

While Evelynn was now on track to getting stronger, Aiden appeared in a white room that had nothing inside it.
He was used to it by now, and he honestly couldn't wait to receive all the rewards that came with the success of this trial.
"Now, let's see. What did you give me?"
He had high hopes since the difficulty of the trial had been honestly ridiculous. It was finally over, and he could move on.
Aiden looked up and he saw many different colored boxes falling onto him. However, it wasn't the same number as usual, Aiden was struggling to count them.
"What the hell?"
As they all reached the ground and entered contact with Aiden, he had no choice but to be swallowed by the boxes as he couldn't even move a single muscle anymore.
However, he didn't care about the pain that he was feeling at the moment. He was celebrating, it was incredible what he had just done.
"There's so many of them! Fuck Yeah!"
He was truly happy, there were so many that he would be able to get any equipment that he really wanted. He hoped that he would be getting weapons and new daggers.
He knew that he had asked Thorin the blacksmith, but there was no telling when he would be done, especially because of that personality of his.
A few moments later, Aiden was trying to push all those boxes away from his face as he wanted to analyze the color that they had.
He hoped that he would be getting some rare ones and not gray or green ones. He had gotten those in the first trial and he hoped that it wouldn't happen again.
"Alright, let's see…"
He started looking at all of them, and after a few moments, he was done counting all of them down. Overall, there was one orange box, five purple, ten of them were blue and twenty of them were either green or gray.
"Hey, am I obligated to open all of them here, or can I bring them without opening them in the Nova?" Aiden asked as a little idea formed in his mind, a really good one at that.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
All those green and gray boxes would probably have no use for Aiden which is why he thought of selling them without opening them. That way, he would be able to open a store that resembled a gacha.
He wondered if he would be able to open a shop with the help of Melinda.
'And by opening that shop, I'll be able to get a fuck ton of money.'
In fact, Aiden was wondering if it wouldn't be a better idea to keep even the blue ones for that shop.
"Ah! Let's see if the purple ones and orange ones are good, and we'll see later."
Aiden dismissed his thought as he once again focused on all the boxes in front of him. He had not opened them yet as he had a couple of questions.
"Hey, you cheapstakes! Is that it?"
