Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 957 Sir Jez's Lab

[Eon's POV: ]

Situated somewhere far from the urban area a few miles before the start of the outskirts of the island, there were some isolated sheds or what I'd call warehouses.

These facilities were owned by individuals that owned that certain piece of land on the island, and they were the standard places that people build on this island when they don't have enough money to make a complete house or estate or something.

'Since the entire island is ultimately property of the academy, there are only a few places that actually could be sold out to the people and those areas are very specific, and pretty small.

Most of them are present on the outskirts, like the area #69MF that we own.

'This is also a place like that, the only difference between this one and the one in the outskirts is how we have a land that cannot be defined in boundaries, while this one is clearly divided by a magical barrier.'

There were a few of these warehouses in this place and the way the barriers were dividing them suggested how there were still some places that were not owned by anyone between the various warehouses.

"Kids, I'll say this again… Do NOT run around the places and please, don't touch something that looks attractive.

Especially the things covered in glass."

There were around a few hundred of us here right now and that was just our class.

Apparently, his request to the entire class worked and a lot more people came than the number he might have expected.

'Well… perhaps the bigger reason could be the rumour someone spread on how I would be cooking for everyone here today.'

I don't know who that was, I certainly don't. But thanks to that Certain person, we have more hands to help us.

"Now then…"

This shed, or wearhouse was a place that Sir Jez owned, so by its area, it wasn't too vast.

It seemed almost half the size of our classroom from the outside, but as some of us could already tell, the inside of this place was expanded with space magic.

"You sure look excited about this, hun?"

Rein knew how I wanted to see this place for a while now.

'There were rumours among the teachers about this place.'

Almost all of them talked about how they had all kinds of equipment and cool stuff in here, and how they would also love to own a lab like this one.

It was present in the middle of a bunch of other warehouses, but not just anyone could enter this place.

'The barrier itself acts like a security fence that allows only the people that have permission to go in, much like the boundary barrier that Flamingo Queen controls.'

It was quite simple compared to that complicated mechanism, but it was still quite effective.

"This is going to be fun, you know? I've heard he has his own artificial projection room there.."

"Oh really?"

She has a smirk on her face, saying how could someone like me be excited about a simple projection room.

'I mean, I do have a bunch of good things of my own, but most of it is present in my 'secret' room back at home.'

I don't have extraordinary technology like we have in the academy and most of the things that I have are portable small things, not entire rooms that could change into any place we want.

"There's an artificial projection room in there?" Captain Alpha was sadly in my class.

"I believe so? It would be cool if we do have something like that here, right? We can just simulate the ideas and brainstorm ideas."

There were a lot of things we could do with a projection room, especially when we are creating something that will be big enough to fit inside however big a place this might be from the inside.

"It would really be amazing if that was the case, haha. Oh! And your idea is amazing. I should have thought of something like that as well, haaa…"

"Oh well, this is a class project. Let's do our best~."

We still didn't have complete trust between us. He was the Captain of a very strong house so we were going to have a great competition when the time really comes and he knew what kind of strengths he had.

'It's iffy sometimes, and it's sometimes awkward between us, but at the very least, we have this mutual understanding between us and we're also on good terms with one another.'

But then again, he wasn't the kind of guy that I can understand just yet. We still needed some time to figure out what kind of relationship we would actually have in the future.

"Yeah! Let's give it our all!"

For now, he shook hands— or were going to shake hands but ended up hugging one another.

"Ptfff."

And both of us knew it was not what either of us wanted, so it was kind of funny for my Miss Uriel.

"Alright then, I think the teacher is calling us at the front."

"Oh, right. Let's go."

She wasn't supposed to laugh like that when she knew what was going on.

[{ "Try helping sometimes if you have time to laugh at me." }]

[{ "It's rare to see the miserable sight of yours, hehe. Why would I miss the perfect chance?" }]

There's nothing funny about this, but she wouldn't stop doing it even if I argued with her.

So, there's no need to waste my energy on something so dumb.

"Then, let's go in!"

He is usually grumpy, indirectly curses at the students, and is always in a professional mood, but ever since this festival was announced, we have been seeing a rare side of him.

"I wonder how it looks from the inside."

-Screeeeeeech!

"Well, we will be finding that one out soon."

The door to the warehouse opened and… well, we couldn't see anything present inside.

It was too small of a door. Only big enough for two people of my height to pass through at once.

"The tall and big ones! If you break the door in any way, I'll be cutting your marks in the next test!"

There were some big people in our class as well. Some orcs and some special students wouldn't cross this door even if they squeezed their arms and carefully tried to go in.

The doors were too small, but at the very least, he had a solution for that problem.

"The big ones! You will have to sprinkle this Shrinking powder on yourself if you want to come inside! It's not compulsory! If you have allergies, you can follow this bat and it will show you all the back door! But you will have to walk around six miles for that!"

This rectangular warehouse wasn't even three miles in length, so I didn't understand why they would have to walk that much, but if we consider the two surrounding warehouses to this one also belong to him- in theory at least- then that would make some sense.

'Or else he was telling them to pass through someone else's property without permission.'

And I don't see how that was going to work out.

But he's the teacher. Why do I have to worry about something as simple as this?

"Alright alright! Get inside everyone! Alpha, Bell kid, Pink dress, Uriel, Redhead twins, and Lucifer! Go inside first. Look after the ones that come after you! And you!

Yes you are the big one! You look after the ones that are taking a detour!"

He only called the three of us for a reason, though I don't know what exactly he was trying to prove here.

"Let's go."

"Yeah, hehe."

We just wanted to see this lab that he had used personally in his student days and was using since the last several decades.

He was a vampire and a pureblood from one of the main clans. So, there should be something good from his hometown in there as well… I at least hoped there was.

Sadly…

"Wow."

"Now that's a lab, alright."

"Damn man..."

Though the lab that we were seeing right now was unfathomably more amazing than any of us had expected, there was nothing that seemed to be from the vampire's ancient vaults.

[{ "You should see this place with my eyes, lol." }]

[{ "Lemme finish looking at this thing first ma'am." }]

My broken wish aside, this place… it was something else.

"I'm not sure about an artificial projection room but, it seems like he has an EtaD super projector. That should be enough, right?"

Captain Alpha was just as mesmerised as I was. There was just that kind of crazy stuff present here…

"Looks like we will be having some real fun here, people."

A ceiling so high I'm pretty sure we can organise an Air Magic ball tournament here. An inside area that stretched more than a mile to the front and was long enough on the sides as well.

There were all kinds of things here… synthesisers, catalysts, equipment of alchemy, an indoor greenhouse, a place with weapons, a place with books, a place with artifacts, a place with lots of fun toys, and, most important of them all…

"Is he a collector or something?"

"Seems like it."

There were glass cases present throughout this big place, some of them were even floating in the air and were suspended high to the ceiling.

All these glass cases contained something special— be it a special material, something he created, something that was in the process of being created, or something that was a 'glorious' failed product. Your journey continues on empire

There were all kinds of things in these hundreds of glass cases, and, I'm pretty sure if even We want to go and see some of them, there's no way the other students will be able to resist the Temptation.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
