Chapter 367 The Manor
Lucas and the others had a vague idea about the Wild Shelters. After all, the only Wild Shelter nearby was decimated by Raze's group and a couple of Super Soldiers. Because of that, they only heard that these Wild Shelters were actually owned by Necromancers.
In short, the Shelter size itself will depend on the strength of this Necromancer… Seeing that the Necromancer in front of them could gather this many undead, they could easily tell that there must be a huge Wild Shelter nearby that they hadn't discovered.
This should be quite impossible since Sparky would always patrol the surroundings for any signs of Wild Shelters… However, there was no point being confused right now. They have to immediately take their stance.
Soon, everyone has received the information about the appearance of the Necromancer with its horde.
Mr. Wadsworth's breath was caught in his throat as he heard the identity of their enemy this time.
Suddenly, he thought that this wasn't just a random attack.
'Did he wait for the disappearance of the Foreign Survivors?' Mr. Wadsworth shivered at this thought.
'This battle wouldn't end in a small skirmish.'
After all, the timing was simply impeccable. There was no way that this Necromancer would have such great timing!
The butler's mind raced. Today, with all the Foreign Survivors engaged in the Boss Raid Event, only the Super Soldiers, Elves, Blacksmiths, Farmers, and a few Knights remained to defend the manor. Would they be enough to withstand the oncoming storm?
Without a moment's hesitation, Mr. Wadsworth turned on his heel as he hurried to the location of their strongest barrier, the Aegis Force.
He knew that Lucas and the others could handle the frontline defense, and they just needed the support of the barriers.
Mr. Wadsworth had to ensure that they had enough Power Cores, or if the Power Cores were used up, he had to ensure that they would be swiftly replaced.

Whom~
As soon as the Aegis Force was activated, it was sensed by everyone within the inner wall, and they all felt relieved by this invisible defense.
Lucas then hurried to the Bulwark Beacon, a secondary barrier generator that could envelop a 100-meter radius. Though weaker than the Aegis Force, it would still provide crucial protection for the outer palisade, which was particularly vulnerable.
After all, the Aegis Force could only cover 200 meters, which was just more than enough to protect the inner wall.
Meanwhile, Gene prepared to activate the Guardian Nodes—two powerful constructs that not only formed a protective barrier but also had the capability to unleash electric attacks on any foe that dared approach.
Aegies Force, Bulwark Beacon, and the two Guardian Nodes. They were the estate's barriers aside from the Bio-Barrier Generator, which hadn't been activated yet. Well, they were hoping that they wouldn't need such a barrier since if they had to use that, it meant that they weren't in a good position already.
"Let's make sure the outer wall holds!" Lucas said as he quickly returned to the watchtower and held his rifle.
Then, he glanced at their first line of defense.
On the ramparts of the outer wall, the defenders took their positions:
Five Elves, led by the Elf Ranger Eldrin, stood ready with their bows drawn as they waited for the signal to rain arrows down on the approaching horde.
On the other side, Seven Knights, comprising the esteemed duo of Knight Alaric and Knight Seraph, both Royal Knights, stood firmly with their swords drawn, prepared to charge into battle once the barriers and suppression of arrows and bullets could no longer stop the undead creatures.
Aside from that, there were also three Super Soldiers. One of them was equipped with a Chainsaw, another one was a Flamethrower, and the last one was equipped with two huge spiked metal clubs.
They took their places alongside the knights, ready to provide cover and firepower.
In the rear, Monk Chaloem, the Aura Master and the strongest among them, remained at the Manor's roof to have a better view of the whole surrounding of the territory to ensure that they wouldn't get ambushed from the other side of the estate.
His presence here also soothed the increasing tension felt by the farmers and other regular workers. Well, his mysterious aura that could cover the whole estate radiated a calm atmosphere, making it difficult for anyone to panic…
Clink… Clink…
From the watchtower, Gene and Lucas prepared their rifles, peering through the scopes at the horizon… Their aim wasn't the horde but the Necromancer that was commanding all of them!
Thud… Thud… Thud…
As the first wave of Zombie Warriors began their advance toward the palisade, everyone was already prepared for the clash.
Suddenly, the ground shook as the Zombies surged forward. They weren't as grotesque as the ones they would always see along the road. Furthermore, they were disorganized because of the Necromancer. However, the traps laid along the path immediately sprang to life!
There were six types of traps that were laid out outside the wall.
They were Spike Pits that could probably kill about five zombies each and immobilize another five Walker Zombies, Bear Traps that could stop those heavier zombies, Tripwire Traps that unleash arrows or blades, Flame Barricades or wooden traps soaked in flammable oil, or Net Traps for those who tried to use the branches of the trees and made for Jumper Zombies. Lastly, there were Pendulum Blades.
They were heavy metal blades suspended above ground that were set to swing down once triggered.
Just with these traps, they ensnared or killed hundreds of the undead before they could reach the walls!
