Chapter 361 Invites To The City Lord's Mansion.
With Yijun casually defeating a Second-Rate Martial Artist, Dongping City was thrown into upheaval.
Previously, the news of a superior cultivation technique caused a slight tremor in the city, but the upper echelon did not take it to heart.
Where would such a technique come from? Besides, who in their right mind would share such an extraordinary technique?
Thus, they all believed it was merely a gimmick to recruit weak commoners to their bidding.
However, a day ago, the superior technique came to light when an ordinary young man defeated a renowned Second-Rate Martial Artist.
The Wei clan, along with every other powerful clan, could no longer remain indifferent. The sooner they got their hands on such an extraordinary technique, the better it would be for their clans.
Quickly, all the forces in the city began to make their move, even the Necoris could not hide their presence any longer.
While this was going on, the fame of the Celestial Heavenly Store spread throughout the city. Now, it was not only common people who were joining to become adventurers.
Even rated and unrated martial artists were joining quickly.
The previously deadly Boiling Desert, which was always devoid of life, was now filled with adventurers trying to mine iron ore.
However, the most sought-after ores were the rare Flaonium and Plathil. To mine Flaonium and Plathil, a team of five was needed.
Apart from the difficulty of mining Flaonium and Plathil, the two rare ores were located in the deepest part of the Boiling Desert, where the molten magma was unstable.
The death rate in such missions was extremely high.
Yet, many people still took on the mission to mine these ores.
Mining a small amount of Flaonium and Plathil would generate high contribution points.
Thus, no one wanted to waste their time mining ordinary ore.
With the Celestial Heavenly Store changing the trajectory of Dongping City, the nefarious plans of the Necoris were put on hold for the time being.
Inside the store, on the third floor, Zimo looked at the dark reddish ore in his hand with amazement.
This was Flaonium.
He could feel a strong spiritual energy in the ore, but what shocked him was how strong the ore was. He had tried to squeeze the small ore but could not.
He was at the peak of the Foundation Building realm, ready to break through to the Core Formation Realm, yet he could not destroy a mere metal ore with his bare hands.
Shaking his head, he decided not to dwell on it.
'I guess only His Majesty would understand the importance of this ore.'
With many people rushing to the Boiling Desert, it was only a matter of time before they mined the first portion of Flaonium metal.
Unfortunately, no team had been fortunate enough to mine the Plathil metal.
Still, he was pleased with the results.
Without thinking too much about the rare ores, he departed from the third floor and went to the back of the store.
At the back of the store were one hundred young men and women drenched in sweat, undergoing strenuous training.
These were the Knights.
Each of them had been promoted to the Body Building Realm stage one.
While the city was thrown into upheaval over just a single Body Building Realm warrior, unbeknownst to them, hundreds of such warriors were undergoing intense training in the store's backyard.
"Captain," a voice called out with respect.
Instantly, all the trainees stood straight and gave the Barren Land military salute.
Zimo gave them a light nod and watched their training momentarily before departing from the store.
Coming out of the store, Zimo released his spiritual sense and saw all the spies hiding around the store and chuckled.
Without caring about them, he walked toward the western part of the city.
Hidden in the shadows, all the spies fixated on Zimo as they quickly gathered their men.
According to their intel, Zimo was the leader of the store, and if they could capture him, acquiring the superior technique would only be a matter of time.
Leaving the bustling street, Zimo continued to walk calmly toward a mansion at the far end of the western zone.
Suddenly, a whistling sound came from the distance, traveling at breathtaking speed toward him.
Without stopping or looking back, Zimo waved his hand, and the incoming arrow disintegrated into dust.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Hundreds of meters away from Zimo's location was a young man on a building, holding a deep brown bow. He was known for his unparalleled archery skill.
He rarely missed, but today, he witnessed a scene that shattered his worldview.
However, his pride as an archery master would not let him back down. Without thinking twice, he released dozens of arrows in quick succession.
And yet, the result was still the same.
Those hiding could not help but marvel at Zimo's power, but instead of being intimidated, their greed grew even stronger.
Since arrows could not harm him, the group decided to come out.
Whoosh!
Right in front of Zimo, a group of men dressed in black with hoods over their heads appeared.
"Surrender now, and we won't make it difficult for you," one of the hooded figures said in a deep voice.
When Zimo heard this, a chuckle escaped his mouth, but he didn't waste his time conversing with ants as he made his move.
Whoosh!
He took a step and appeared before the man who had just spoken. His movement was too fast for an ordinary martial artist to comprehend.
Bang!
Zimo's terrifying slap hit his face, sending him flying and crashing into a wall in the distance.
Dead.
As for the frozen hooded group, their hearts skipped a beat, and a cold chill ran down their spines.
'Who the fuck said the leader of the store was an ordinary man?!' they screamed in their hearts.
Before they could gather their wits, Zimo's resounding slap echoed on the desolate street.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Each slap burst their brains to pieces while sending them flying into the distance like flies.
They thought they were the hunters, but unfortunately, they were the prey.
Till death, none of them realized how they died.
Dusting off his palms, Zimo looked in the direction where the archer was and smiled.
With that, he continued on his path, heading to their mansion.
In front of the mansion, a group of guards stood proudly. When they saw Zimo returning unscathed, they were inwardly stunned but did not let it show on their faces.
Zimo did not bat an eye at the guards and prepared to enter the mansion when one of the guards stopped him.
"Please wait…" the guard captain said respectfully.
"What? Tell me quickly, I don't have all day," Zimo responded coldly.
"Young master, the city lord requests your presence."
When Zimo heard this, the corner of his lips curled up into a knowing smile. 'At last, the bait has been taken.'
"Tell the city lord I will pay him a visit." With that, he entered the mansion.
