Chapter 1707: Still Holding Back



Everyone was watching when Grey's shirtless body was quickly covered up by another top that apparently grew from thin air.

This was the defensive elemental weapon he had with him when he visited the last ancient Faction to produce a God Plane Elementalist a while back. He rarely uses it, but since his clothes were damaged, he brought it out since getting new ones in the middle of a fight was odd.

The young lady came back to once Grey covered his upper body.

'A shame.'

She wasn't the only one who had this thought, as there were others in the stands who wanted to see Grey's bare upper body a bit longer.

Grey managed to take her attack head-on, without even using any sufficient defensive skills, yet he was able to block the attack with his crazy physique.

She attacked once again. Even though she could tell that her attack was slightly inferior to Grey's, she knew that didn't determine who would eventually win the battle.

Large pillars came crashing down on her. She was about to move when she noticed that her body felt heavy. She looked at Grey, only to see Grey's calm eyes staring at her.

'This is his doing?!'

She knew he was the only one who could attack her at the moment, but she didn't expect him to do something like this. Being able to alter the speed at which an opponent could move is an amazing ability to have when fighting opponents of similar strengths, as just one unexpected change in body speed can determine the winner and loser of a fight.

The young lady reacted accordingly, knowing there's no way to escape from the pillars falling from above, she created a large sword made from flames, slashing at the pillars. The fire sword was sharp, as it sliced through all the pillars.

Bam! Bang!

The sounds of multiple large parts of rocks falling on the ground resounded across the arena. A dust cloud rose, and just as it fell, everyone saw Grey's figure standing close to the young lady in the middle of the broken rocks, his hand was outstretched, but just as his palm was about to grab hold of the young lady's neck, it was stopped by an ice wall that appeared at the time of his attack.

Grey didn't expect the young lady to react this quickly.

"I'm sorry darling, but this won't work on me." She gave him a coy smile as she retreated while keeping her eyes on Grey.

Grey let out an 'Oh', before under the shocked gazes of everyone present, he walked through the layer of ice that was stopping him. The young lady wasn't fast, so Grey was able to get to her within two steps.

The young lady didn't think Grey wouldn't need to destroy the layer of ice, but walked through it, heading for her.

A large ball of water around ten meters in radius appeared around her, enveloping both her and Grey's figure. She was the one who created this patch of water with the aid of her domain.

Grey knew someone like her would've already awakened her domain, so seeing her make use of it, he wasn't surprised. If not for the fact that he caught his first opponent off-guard, she too would've been able to use her domain.

The large ball of ice started to freeze. The young lady wanted to freeze Grey inside the ice, defeating him in one swoop.

Grey looked around and his muscles tensed up, he hadn't shown most of his strength yet, and he didn't plan to do that anytime soon. Not everyone will know how he's able to get past the ice layer, but those Elders above the Eighth stage of the Sovereign Plane all knew that he just made use of the space element.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The Elders' area.

"He also has the space element?" One of the Elders from the Pyro Faction was shocked.

Grey has already thrown their view of the outside world to the ground with his short performance, yet he wasn't done surprising them.

"Oh he's still holding back, by a lot." Faction Leader Bertram spoke up, it was his time to shine, and of course he will not let such an opportunity go.

While the competition has been taking place, he hasn't been able to smile since Keith won his battles and joined the list. The performance of the rest members of the Pyrmond Factions isn't something to write home about, even the others who managed to join Keith were barely able to achieve this, so it wasn't worth being proud over.

"He's still not going all-out?" An Elder didn't believe that Grey hadn't gone all-out even with the moves he had made. Having three elements and using all three systematically like Grey has done is a very important part of all fighters. So this could be said to be going all out since he was forced to use his other element and still wasn't able to end the fight. Not just that, but he was also trapped by his opponent.

Back in the arena.

The large ball of water has completely turned into ice, and the young lady's figure exited the ice ball soon after.

Everyone watched the ball of ice start to shake the second the young lady left it.

The sky turned dark, and a thunderstorm kicked up. The entire platform had flashes of lightning arcs on it. Grey has made use of his lightning domain.

Creak... Bang!

The ice shattered, and Grey's figure appeared before everyone. His figure floated up, covered with red lightning. It was a sight to behold.

Like a lightning God, Grey looked down on the young lady, pointing his finger at her, she noticed that her entire body tensed up. She wanted to move, but it was as if the space around her had been sealed.

A lightning bolt shot straight at her, and she created a layer of ice to block it. Unfortunately, it wasn't just one attack. One after the other, bolts of lightning rained on her. The lightning storm was above her, and it didn't seem to have any plans to stop.
