Chapter 61 the change
Void appeared at the outskirts of a kingdom, dropping both himself and Linkir to the ground. He surveyed the landscape. In the distance, hundreds of miles away, he could see dense forests stretching far and wide. This was the elf kingdom, nestled deep within the woods.
"…Argh… What happened?" Sword Demon groaned as he stood, clutching his head in pain. His eyes slowly opened to the sight of the smaller form of Linkir and a much larger, unfamiliar figure.
"You… demon…" Sword Demon growled, his anger rising as he instinctively searched for his sword, but it was nowhere to be found.
"Here," Void said indifferently, tossing a small object down to him.
*Boom*—the ground cracked as Sword Demon caught the object, his knees buckling slightly under its unexpected weight. Looking closely, he realized it was his sword, now shrunken to the size of a toothpick.
"You're my servant now. I gave you the chance to grow stronger—without limits," Void's voice was cold, his power absolute.
Sword Demon felt his anger simmering beneath the surface, but something restrained him. He glanced down at his body in disbelief—he was massive. Now towering 100 meters tall, he had two large horns, the face of a bull, bulging muscles, and a thin tail.
His gaze shifted back to the toothpick-sized sword in his hand, then to Void. "What… what have you done to me?" Sword Demon stammered, memories flooding back. Void had defeated him effortlessly. Years of experience told him to stay calm.
"I've transformed you into an Aeron—a mix between a primordial demon and another being. You've evolved," Void explained with a faint smile.
Sword Demon stared blankly, his mind struggling to process the changes.
"Look after him," Void ordered Linkir before disappearing without another word.
"Hey, new slave," Linkir said casually, turning to Sword Demon. "My name's Linkir. Now that he's gone, do you know a place where we can get stronger?"
"Who are you, and what do you mean by getting stronger?" Sword Demon asked, his confusion deepening.
"I'm Linkir, Void's first servant. My advice? Be obedient. The last slave before you… died. Now, let's find some creatures to kill. We grow stronger through eating their souls," Linkir said coldly.
"Souls?" Sword Demon echoed, stunned. He glanced at Linkir and his own new form. It seemed his mother had mistaken Anya form for that of a pet at first after all they were beast now.
After a brief pause, Sword Demon asked, "Tell me… how do I get stronger?"
As an old creature, he quickly adapted to the situation. First, he had to weigh the benefits before thinking of escape. Void had already shown him his superior strength—escaping wasn't an option.
"We kill beings," Linkir replied. "When they die, their souls float for a while before being reincarnated, sent elsewhere, or absorbed by the universe."
Sword Demon's expression darkened. This was unlike any other demons he'd encountered.
"What have I gotten myself into… how do I survive this?" Sword Demon thought, trying to calm himself.
"Okay, I understand," he said finally.
"You're taking this… calmly," Linkir observed, her cold gaze narrowing.
"I'm an old creature. I've lived for almost 50,000 years. I adapt quickly," Sword Demon said, though inwardly suspicious of Linkir's intentions.
"Hmm… interesting," Linkir replied. "But tell me, didn't you call Shen Ye your disciple? Aren't you angry his sister is dead? Don't you want to fight Void again?"
Sword Demon sighed. "True… but what can I do? I fought him once and lost. I don't even fully understand this new body yet. I am saddened by her death, but for now, survival comes first."
"I hope she's buying this," Sword Demon thought. Yet, a part of him felt that his words held more truth than deception. "What's happening to me?"
"Interesting. You've adapted to the coldness of your body. It took me longer. Now, where can we go? I need to get stronger quickly," Linkir pressed.
"Just Experience," Sword Demon chuckled softly. "Alright, let's visit the dragons. But why are you in such a rush to get stronger?"
Linkir paused. "For a reason."
"Does he have his own agenda? Is he plotting something against Void? If so, I'll handle him myself when the time comes," linkir mused.
"And that reason is…?" Sword Demon asked.
"You don't need to know. Now, lead the way," Linkir replied, her tone authoritative despite her lower rank.
"Alright, try to keep up," Sword Demon said, chuckling as he flew into the sky, his massive frame moving with ease.
Linkir's eyes narrowed in frustration. "This bastard… he's showing off because I'm weaker. No matter, I'll reach Rank 2 soon."
Sword Demon raised the toothpick-sized sword. "Expand," he murmured, and the black blade rapidly grew to 70 meters. Gripping it tightly, he felt an immediate surge of power. He could easily defeat his former self now.
"I hope mother finds me soon," he thought, glancing toward the Dragon Kingdom. "This body… maybe it's a blessing."
As he sped up, Linkir gritted her teeth. "He's doing this on purpose… but I'll surpass him soon enough."

**In the vast emptiness of space, beside a giant marble world, floated a ruin.**
This ruin was once the home of an ancient clan. Their survival thrived on devouring worlds, their existence sustained through destruction. This particular world, the largest they'd ever encountered, had held them captive for tens of thousands of years.
Despite their conquests, even after slaughtering all the quasi-rank 3 beings on this world, they couldn't break through. A legendary Rank 3 being had locked this world with his life essence. However, over time, their relentless feeding eroded the essence, leaving nothing behind but ruin.
Now, the seal that once bound them was gone. Their Rank 3 being recovering from his injuries.

**In a dark area under a blood-red sky, a figure resembling a human was bound by chains.**
*Step. Step. Step.*
A being appeared, stopping in front of the chained man. It stood at 3 meters tall, its white body adorned with sharp, spike-like arms and legs, its gaping mouth stretched long, perfect for devouring. This was a member of the ancient clan, the Seides.
"Brother, will you drop that revolting form?" the Seides member hissed.
"Leave me," the man responded coldly, his voice devoid of emotion.
The Seides chuckled, his voice carrying an eerie chill. "Hahaha… it's a hobby of mine, you know."
Silence was his only reply.
"Enough. Tell me why you're here," the chained man demanded, his tone shifting to one of command.
"The gate has opened, brother... Your wife will die soon enough," the Seides said with a smirk, watching the chained man stir.
*Clink. Clink. Clink.*
The sound of chains echoed as the man shifted, causing the Seides to step back quickly.
"Leave," the man finally said, his voice filled with quiet menace.
As the Seides turned to leave, he threw a final taunt over his shoulder: "You'll never be free if you don't tell us how you bred with her."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The chained man clenched his fists, his mind racing. "I can't just watch her die..." His aura flared, sending shockwaves through the air, shaking the darkened landscape for millions of kilometers.
This man, bound and battered, was none other than the War God, the father of the Sword Demon.

**In the dark area, silence reigned.**
No beings stirred, no bones creaked. Only an unclosing space rift remained, full of darkness, as a lone female figure stood amidst the chaos.
"Done," she whispered before vanishing.
She had eradicated every living entity within this forbidden zone, an area spanning millions of galaxies. This was the sect master of the Quinlan Sect—the Sword Demon's mother.
The damage she caused was so profound that space itself tore apart, leaving unstable rifts. Her power was immense, rivaling the might of quasi-rank 3 beings, universe-destroying entities capable of shaking the very fabric of existence.
---
**At the second layer of space…**
Mark emerged from a space tear, stepping onto a divine plane.
"Now, where are they?" Mark mused with a smile, his enormous form dwarfing everything around him.
---
**At the Hall of the Ancestor Gods…**
"He's here... Lucky for him, he carries both bloodlines; otherwise, he'd be dead by now," Kira's father remarked with a faint smile.
---
**In a cleared area, two figures—gods of colossal size—gasped for breath.**
"Marcule, you have to try harder," Kira said, folding her arms.
"You… aren't the weak one...who's gasping for air," Marcule replied between breaths. "Have you even checked the leaderboard?"
"Why would I? What's so special about it?" Kira asked, nonchalantly.
Every month, they received the benefits , but for beings of their rank, the rankings hardly mattered, no difference in Power for them.. Rank 2 is a huge gap in life. A chasm they can't fill.
"Check it," Marcule insisted, now standing with a grin.
Kira frowned as she opened the rankings.
**Hans Ranking:**
1. Mark: quasi-rank 3
2. Kira: peak Rank 2
3. Void: quasi-peak Rank 2
4. Feng Yue: high-level Rank 2
5. Marcule: mid-level Rank 2
6. Blade: low-level Rank 2
7. Beast of Destruction (Leo): early Rank 2
8. Chaos (Avid): early Rank 2
9. Doria : Quasi Rank 2
10. Luke: peak Rank 1
"What the…?" Kira's eyes widened. "Chaos... That kid has improved!"
She continued reading, her gaze stopping at the third position.
"Void? He's reached quasi-peak Rank 2 already? Demons grow that fast? It's only been two and a half years!" she exclaimed.
"I know, right? He's a monster," Marcule replied, still in disbelief.
Before Kira could respond, both she and Marcule felt a powerful presence approaching—a mix of chaotic and divine energy. It was the number 1.
"Talk about monsters," Marcule groaned.
"Let's meet him," Kira said, vanishing on the spot.
"Yeah, yeah..." Marcule muttered, following close behind.
---
**At the Elf Kingdom…**
Void stood with a wide grin. The elves were small, insignificant to him, but the sheer number of them—billions—was impressive. Among them, he could sense several Rank 2 beings, with the highest being the princess, currently acting as queen.
"Delicious... With this, I should reach peak Rank 2. One step closer to my goal," Void whispered to himself, his chaotic aura leaking into the air, tearing rifts in space as they opened and closed around him.
Drawing his massive white sword, he activated its second form.
"Today... None will leave here alive except for me. Nothingness follows wherever I go," Void thought, launching his attack.
