Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 166 Make Good Use

Linfel's Lightning Spears changed into Lightning Blades, positioning themselves around the guy. "Alright, my beloved stalker, how about you show me your cards. And don't say you don't have them. I have already noticed that these cards seemed to react when more cards are nearby."

Linfel wasn't lying. He noticed that peculiar change after he got separated from Alvin and the others. For safety, Alvin asked Linfel to keep his card with him since Linfel had the Spatial Storage. During the times Linfel wasn't with his group, he noticed that his card seemed to lose its vibrancy somehow. Then, once he returned, the card recovered. It was almost imperceptible. If Linfel hadn't paid very close attention, he truly would have missed that.

He didn't tell Alvin, Milia, Zandel, and the Familiars, though. He didn't want to have wrong ideas while still in the city. After today, they should understand what i in play, so he will tell them later.

The magus sighed and immediately brought out five cards, all of them bronze in color. "These are all of them... Just don't do anything drastic, okay?"

Linfel took the cards, which disappeared a second later. Obviously he sent them into his Spatial Storage. The magus saw that and wondered where the cards had gone. Nonetheless, he wasn't in a position to ask questions, so he didn't ask. "Can I go now?"

*Zush, zush...*

Linfel immediately threw the other Maguses and their Familiars at the guy. "Sure. Do me a favor and bring these guys with you, will you? I don't really have anything against you guys, and I understand why you came after us. I will probably be doing the same in the future, too. No hard feelings."

The Magus didn't expect it to be that easy. "Really? No punishment at all?"

Linfel looked at him, confused? "Do you want me to cut a limb or two from you? I did it to that Level Five Magus deeper in the dungeon. Don't worry; it will be over in less than a second." Linfel's Lightning Blades began to move.

"No, no, no!" He immediately refused the offer, afraid of Linfel's Lightning Blades. "There is no need at all! Although it is possible to regrow lost limbs in the sect, it will be quite expensive. I would rather not do it."

"I guess so..." Linfel didn't mind, dispersing his Lightning Blades. "Well then, my friend, this is where we part ways. It was good to meet you all, and thank you for your generous offerings. Goodbye!"

*Kabrum!*

Linfel's body flashed with arcs of lightning, and his core shot into the distance, disappearing in a couple of seconds. The Magus looked at that, feeling a chill on his back. "And he still had plenty of Magic Energy to use..."

Then, he grabbed those unconscious companions of him and began to make his way back to the exit. He didn't look very happy, though. He wasn't angry about Linfel. Instead, he was angry at the Maguses who contracted his group to rob Linfel and his friends' cards. "Those fuckers. And they said it would be an easy job with good payment if we succeeded. Easy their arses!" He was determined to seek compensation for the loss of his own cards in the matter.

With no one in his way, Linfel easily made it back to where Alvin and the others were waiting. Arriving there, he saw that the Level Five Magus was still alive and that his group was keeping an eye on him and his damaged Familiar. "Sure enough, you can deal with him."

Zandel's mouth twitched. "Only because he had almost no Magic Energy left! Even so, he underestimated us greatly, which also made things easier. Had these factors not been in play..."

"Then you would have to deal with it," Milia immediately cut in. "Zandel, do you think everything will always go to plan? That you never will get yourself into some shit against your will? Linfel at least left after confirming this guy had almost no Magic Energy left. There is nothing to complain about here. Instead, I'm more than happy for the earned experience."

Alvin agreed with her, although he also understood Zandel. He was just like that not long ago. "She is right. Besides, you helped defeat a Level Five magus while only at Level Four. You should feel proud of yourself."

"Well..." Zandel had to admit their words made sense. "Alright, my bad. Thank you for the opportunity, Linfel."

Linfel smiled in response. He didn't have to say anything. "No problem." Then, he looked at the fallen magus. They obviously didn't kill so as to not be branded as killers. "Did you get his cards?"

Milia and the others finally smiled. "Here they are!"

On Milia's hand, three Silver Cards and four Bronze ones appeared. They were all Zuzei's cards that he gave away.

"Hahaha!" Linfel laughed after seeing that. Then, he brought out his own. A total of nine Bronze Cards appeared there. The last Magus Linfel defeated had five Bronze Cards. The other four were in the hands of the first two Maguses he took down. "Guess we have enough bronze cards for an extra silver card now."

Alvin couldn't help but comment. "Doesn't that mean we have nine silver cards in total? That's almost the same as a golden card!"

Milia passed her cards to Linfel, knowing that it as indeed safer in his hands. "Are you suggesting we gather ten total and buy a Magic Armor with them?"

Alvin nodded. "Indeed. Also, I think you should have it, Milia."

Zandel narrowed his eyes. "Why her? I also want a Magic Armor from the Ventis Sect."

Linfel understood, though. "It makes sense. Other than me, Milia and Nori do have the highest attack power in our group. Alvin is already good enough with defense, and Zandel's wood element is great for long-distance support. If the aim is to end the fight as fast as possible, it would be good if she could finish the enemies faster while Alvin and Zandel work together to pin down any enemies."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Zandel wanted to retort, but he did not have an answer for that. Besides, even without the armor, he is gaining a lot just for being in this group. "Fine! But it is still up to debate who the second armor goes to."

Milia didn't expect they would decide it for her that easily. "Are you sure? I mean, I definitely want it, but..."

Linfel stopped her. "It is decided. Besides, I also want more of those shields. You saw how it worked perfectly against Zuzei. Yet, I also think it will be better for you to have a complete set of your own."

Finally, Milia accepted. "Okay! I will definitely make good use of it."
