Chapter 2544 Lava Rain, Distress And Old Allies Arrive

Chapter 2544  Lava Rain, Distress And Old Allies Arrive

"Where is it?" Lin Mu rummaged through all the Spatial Tools but found it hard to find them. "If it is in the damaged ring, it will be a problem." He muttered.

The Damaged Spatial Storage Ring had lost all its items which were now somewhere in the void. If the key to the bridge Plane's arrays was in it, Lin Mu was in for a really problematic time again.

Thankfully, after a few minutes he finally found it. The 'Key' was hidden in the belt Spatial Storage Tool.

It was kind of hard for Lin Mu to recognizing it at first but with Xukong's help, he found it to be a small cube.

It was about the size of playing dice and had fine inscriptions carved over all its sides. "Are these Celestial Level Inscriptions?" Lin Mu asked finding them to be a bit complex. While he could read the characters themselves, he couldn't really understand them. After observing them for a bit he realized that they were probably just the surface representation and there were more runes hidden inside the cube itself.

~SHUA~

He tried using his Immortal Sense to check it but was blocked right away.

"It won't work." Xukong informed him. "You would need a Celestial's sense to be able to check it." "I see." Lin Mu replied before at least trying to perceive them with his Spatial Perception. "I can see their presence but can't make them out." In his view, he could see thousands of tiny runes within the cube but they were far to intermingled for him to be able to read or recognize. ~SPLASH~

But while Lin Mu was doing this, something else was happening in the sky.

~HISS~

~Sizzle~ The sound of boiling ocean water could be heard again, as hot lava fell down into it from the sky.

"What the!" a few of Lin Mu's companions that were temptation to go to the surface were shocked by this and quickly retreated.

"It's raining lava!" Daoist Chu shouted.

Lin Mu sensed the disturbance on the surface and went to check, only to see that the Ocean of Lava that had been created on the Bridge Plane was now dripping down onto the Rust Sky World.

Lin Mu sensed the disturbance on the surface and went to check, only to see that the Ocean of Lava that had been created on the Bridge Plane was now dripping down onto the Rust Sky World.

"It only gets worse…" Lin Mu let out a sigh.

While the Lava itself wasn't as dangerous as the Death Qi or the Chimeric Beasts, it could still damage an Immortal. Defending against it was possible, but with the amount of Lava that was dripping down, it would get really difficult.

After all, thousands of a kilometer of area was now converted into the Lava ocean on the Bridge Plane and escaping it won't be easy. The lava would also fall down into the ocean on the Rust Sky world, as well as the Holy Topaz Continent nearby, causing damage to the cities and more.

"This is going to be hard to solve." Lin Mu didn't know what to do. It was technically his doing, so he was partially at fault here. But the only solution seemed to be to mend the Spatial Fabric and push the Bridge Plane back into its own section in the void. But to do that, Lin Mu needed the Saintess.

"Saintess, where are you?" Lin Mu called out. "Xiao Yin, Xiao Yang; see if you can call for her too." He hoped that the twins would be able to reach out better.

~HISS~ HISS~

The twins had the Saintess imprint, thus she would know if they were in danger. She had set it for emergencies, so that they could contact her and now it was the perfect time for it.

~SHUA~SHUA~

The imprints glowed on the necks of the twins, as a faint wave of energy was emitted from them. The energy wave traveled far and disappeared. Minute after minute went by, as the Lava continued to drip from the sky.

At first it was slow, but as more time went by more of it began to fall until finally it had turned into a full blown downpour.

"To me!" The Flood Dragon announced as he shifted the water deep below, creating a large dome of air that allowed the people to stay without any issues. "Everyone stay in the ocean!" Lin Mu ordered, knowing that it was the only safe place for now. "Thank you, Senior Qiulong." He said to the Flood dragon.

"It's fine, I never expected things would turn out like this," Qiulong Jiao said. "What are you going to do now? Wait for the temple of the Guardian beasts to help?" he asked.

The flood dragon didn't know about the Saintess, thus it was expected for him to rely on the other major power that could have the best chance of helping.

"I have another option." Lin Mu replied. "Though the temple should also be working on this." He reckoned.

Though now that Lin Mu was thinking about it, he did find it a bit strange that they hadn't acted yet. 'The Spirits of the Guardian beasts should be awake right. Specially in a time of distress like this,' Lin Mu wondered.

The temple had the obligation to act in grave situations like this and they were created for this in the first place. Of course, Lin Mu didn't know that they were having some difficulties of their own.

Back in the Capital City of the Dao Wind Empire, the Temple of the Guardian beasts was currently in a state of panic.

Inside it, the four guardian spirits had long since awakened and were trying their best.

~SHUA~SHUA~SHUA~

Four streaks of energy were currently converging in the middle, with each streak coming from the head of each Guardian spirit.

~POOF~

But after a minute or so, the energy collapsed, making the Guardian spirits flicker.

"Ugh… it is still not working." The Azure Dragon said in frustration.

"How's this possible?" The White Tiger questioned. "How can the link be severed to this extent that we are rendered helpless?" "It can't be the Spatial Lock alone, can it?" The Black Tortoise wondered. "Even if it stops teleportation, it cannot stop our communication's array."

"This can one be done by one thing… A Celestial's power." The Vermillion bird said, her eyes glowing with a hint of anger. "Whoever tried it is against the Immortal Court's directives." She said, feeling displeased.

"Can it be that girl Yao Changying's doing, too?" The White Tiger asked. "Juxue did say that she had a Celestial's soul helping her." He added.

They had already been informed by the Emperor about the potential backing of Yao Changying Back when Lin Mu had told them. "It is possible that. But to do that alone is not simple. It is definitely that plane that is now hovering above us." The Azure Dragon said, looking up. His gaze pierced through the roof of the temple and directly went to the sky where the rugged Bridge Plane was visible. "I never thought I'd see it again." The Vermillion bird said with a hint of surprise. "The last great war had displaced it from the world's periphery. But it seems like there were others who had their eye on it." She added.

It was clear that the Guardian beasts had known about the Bridge Plane's existence all this time.

"It is definitely different from before. There are arrays on it that I cannot recognize." The Black Tortoise replied. "That's probably what is scrambling our attempts at communication." "The Spatial Lock is gone, at least. We can only attempt to try it again, at least until the reinforcement arrive." The Azure Dragon urged them. "Come on," he said as the streak of energy came out of his head again.

"Yes." The other three said as energy streaks came out of their heads too.

~SHUA~SHUA~SHUA~

The energy streaks converged in the center again, attempting to communicate with the Immortal Court again.

~GUSH~GUSH~GUSH~

Back where Lin Mu and the others were, the sounds of strong waves could be heard, making Lin Mu look to the east.

He looked there but saw nothing.

"The lava falling is getting intense." He reckoned the sound was due to the lava splashing into the ocean.

He continued his attempts at contacting the Saintess but was unable too.

"Any luck, you two?" Lin Mu asked.

"No." The twins shook their heads. "We cannot sense her anywhere." Hearing that, Lin Mu furrowed his brows. 'Is she not in the world anymore?' Lin Mu thought of another possibility.

The Spatial Lock certainly stopped teleportation, but that didn't mean that one couldn't just manually fly out of the world and travel to another world.

The Saintess did say that she'll watch out for them, but there was no telling if she was in some other emergency.

~GUSH~

But as Lin Mu was thinking of this, he heard the strong sound of waves again.

This time though, he also saw a massive wave heading their way.

"A Tsunami?" Lin Mu found it to be over seven kilometer tall. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
