Chapter 164: Intermission IV - Return of the Magical Moles



[3rd POV] [Intermission IV - Return of the Magical Moles]

It was a few days after recruiting Bruno, when the unthinkable had happened.

Talia had been walking through her crops, humming along with her music as she plucked and harvested some of her crops. She had recently planted a new form of crop that she dubbed as "Chakra Berry". They were basically mini chakra fruits from Naruto, that would permanently increase the chakra of those who consumed them. Not a large amount like the normal chakra fruit, but certainly enough to be noticeable. More than that, it would be good for the girls as she wanted them to get their chakra up, and use it more often.

Walking to where the berry's were, Talia's smile dropped as she gazed at the remains of her berry's. They were torn to bits, with only the leafs remaining, and next to them was the evidence of the return of an annoying enemy of hers....the moles.

"Goddamnit! I thought I killed those things the last time!" Talia groaned, the girls thought that the fact that they came back over and over was hilarious, which was the only reason she didn't use her power to just slaughter the little bastards.

"Talia? What's wrong?" Hope asked as she walked up from behind her. She was on help duty today, and was harvesting from the other crops on the field.

"The damn moles are back again" Talia replied with a huff. Hearing this, Hope immediately began to giggle, realizing that the moles that were always so amusing to watch Talia deal with, were finally back.

"How're you going to deal with them this time?" Hope asked as she gazed at the remains of the berry's that Talia had recently made, she knew that Talia had been working on them for a while now, so to see them all destroyed like that was not something she was entirely happy about, but she also found the reaction of Talia to be funny.

"Considering magical pesticides didn't work, I was thinking of getting some magical Foxes and using them to hunt the moles. That, or I pump gas below the crops and kill them that way" Talia replied with a thoughtful look on her face, contemplating ideas on how to kill the annoying things.

"Why not make them your familiars?" Hope asked, as Talia looked at her with a raised eyebrow, before thinking over the idea.

"...That is an excellent idea, love. What better to hunt them than their own kind. Not to mention all the magical crops they've ingested, they're probably stronger than any other animal on the planet" Talia muttered as she thought of the uses of moles. They'd be excellent for spying on others, considering they bury underground and are practically untrackable. Add in the power of being familiar, and some special armor, and she'd have her own underground army that could attack from just about anywhere and not even be noticed.

Grinning widely (which freaked Hope out a bit), Talia hummed.

"Excellent idea indeed..."
