Ultimate Choice System: I Became The Richest!

Chapter 177 Contract Signed, $20,000,000!

On the highway to Arthur's house, Noah glanced at the time on the dashboard.

A small frown crept onto his face.

"It's already time to pick up Emily, I almost forgot," he muttered.

He wasn't far, he was about twenty-five minutes away from her school.

Quickly, he sent a message to Arthur.

"Something came up. I'll be there in about an hour and a half."

With that sorted, he made a U-turn at the next roundabout and headed toward the primary school.

The sleek black Mercedes caught the attention of every kid playing outside, their wide eyes and excited whispers making him chuckle.

A few older kids pointed at the car, clearly recognizing its worth.

Parking near the entrance, Noah stepped out. As he walked toward the classroom buildings, several kids whispered and nudged each other, trying to guess who he was.

Peering through the classroom window, Noah saw Emily chatting with her best friend, Sarah.

Her back was to him, completely unaware of his presence. He smirked, an idea forming in his mind.

Silently, he crept closer.

"Bah!" he exclaimed, his voice playful but loud enough to make Emily jump.

"Argh!" she yelped, clutching her chest and spinning around to face him..

"Noah!" she exclaimed, stomping her foot. "It's you!"

Her cheeks puffed up in frustration. "I'm gonna tell Mum and Dad! You scared me!"

Noah crouched slightly, meeting her eyes with a mischievous grin. "Aww, come on, Em. It was just a little fun."

"You're so mean!" she huffed, but the faint smile on her face betrayed her.

Sarah giggled, covering her mouth as she watched them. "Forgive brother Noah, he was just playing with you," she whispered.

Emily, still trying to look angry, turned to Sarah and declared, "No, he's not. He's just annoying me."

Noah laughed, ruffling her hair playfully, much to her annoyance. "Alright, come on, troublemaker. Let's get you home before you scare someone else."

"Me? Scare someone?" she shot back. "It was you who scared me!"

...

After dropping off Emily at their house, Noah hit the highway as he made his way back towards Arthur's mansion.

Soon enough, he arrived at the massive gates. The guards didn't open the gate quickly this time, as they had to verify who was inside the car.

After realising it was Noah, they quickly opened the door. They were used to his Lykan, so they usually opened it as soon as they saw it without checking carefully.

As Noah's G-class Mercedes entered through the massive gates of Arthur's villa complex, the guards exchanged glances.

"Man," one of them muttered, whistling low. "Every time this guy shows up, it's with a new car. First the Lykan Hypersport, then the Lamborghini, and now this tank of a G-wagon. Next time, he might just fly in on a helicopter. What are we supposed to do then?"

The leader of the guards, shook his head, with a wry smile on his face that was barely hidden. "Welcome to the world of the rich, my friend. When you've got more money than you know what to do with, you start buying whatever catches your fancy."

The younger guard scratched his head. "But why? Why not just donate all that extra money? I mean, they could end world hunger with the kind of cash they burn through."

The leader's expression turned thoughtful as he folded his arms. "It's human nature," he said, gesturing toward the younger man. "Even you're guilty of it. Let me ask you something—how much do you take home every month?"

"Uh… about $3,000 after tax," the younger guard replied, blinking in confusion.

"Alright. And when you pass a homeless guy on the street, someone asking for just five bucks, do you give it to them?" the leader asked, his sharp gaze fixed on the younger man.

The guard's eyes widened slightly as he thought about it. "No… not really."

"Exactly." The leader leaned closer, a smirk on his face. "You could spare five bucks easily, but you don't. It's not because you can't afford it, it's because it's not part of your nature to give when you don't feel like it."

"But that's—" The younger guard paused, his words caught in his throat as the realization hit him.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"It's the same with them," the leader continued. "To you, five bucks is just pocket change, right? And to the rich, millions are the same. They don't feel the weight of that money like you think they do."

"So, instead of donating it, they spend it on things they want—cars, jewellery, mansions. Just like how you might spend your paycheck on games, gadgets, or a night out instead of handing it over to charity."

The younger guard frowned, the gears in his head turning. "I guess so… I never thought about it like that."

"Exactly," the leader said, clapping him on the shoulder. "We're all the same, just at different levels. You decide not to give five bucks, and they decide not to give millions. The scale is different, but the mindset isn't. And here's the kicker—most people think they'd be generous if they were rich, but trust me, if they get there, they won't be. It's easy to talk big when it's not your reality."

The younger guard nodded slowly, his shoulders slumping. "Yeah… you're right. That was pretty hypocritical of me."

"Don't beat yourself up over it," the leader said with a grin. "Just something to keep in mind the next time you're tempted to criticize. Besides, it's not our job to judge. Our job is to open the gate and make sure no one sneaks in."

They both chuckled softly as they watched the G-class vanish up the villa complex.

"Still," the younger guard muttered, "it'd be nice if he gave us a tip every now and then."

The leader laughed and shook his head.

After passing Amelia's villa, Noah arrived at Arthur's villa.

Pulling up at the driveway, he nodded at the guards who quickly called up Arthur to let him know that Noah had arrived.

By the time Noah reached the steps of the grand villa, Arthur was already at the door, his daughter Lily standing beside him with a smile on her face.

"Noah, good to see you!" Arthur greeted warmly, extending his hand.

"You too," Noah replied, shaking it firmly before turning to Lily. "Hey, Lily. How are you doing?"

"I'm good," she replied. "How have you been, long time no see. Did you drop out?"

Noah chuckled.

"No, I've just been very busy lately. But I will come in again this week," He said as they walked inside.

At the dinner table, the food, as expected, was exquisite—a mix of roasted meats, and all kinds of delicacies.

After they finished, Arthur leaned back in his chair, gesturing toward Noah with a smile. "How was it? Still as good as always?"

Noah wiped his mouth with a napkin and grinned. "It's as good as always, Arthur. Your chef has outdone himself, you need to give him a raise."

Arthur laughed heartily. "Glad to hear that, I will for sure. A satisfied stomach is the best way to start any business conversation."

Lily rolled her eyes playfully. "Dad's philosophy for everything, feed them, and then talk business."

Noah smirked, leaning back. "Not a bad strategy. I mean it hooked me,"

With dessert out of the way, Arthur excused himself briefly.

"Give me a moment, I will go grab the contract for you to check,"

Returning with a folder in his hand. He set it on the table in front of Noah.

"Alright, here's the contract. Take your time and let me know if there's anything you're unsure about. It's the same deal as we discussed before—nothing's changed."

Noah opened the folder, his expression calm but focused. At that moment, a familiar chime echoed in his mind.

[Ding! Ultimate Choice System has been activated]

[Option 1: Skim through the contract and believe in Arthur's loyalty.]

[Reward: Basic Law Skill, $10,000]

[Option 2: Read through every line, and every word. Make sure that nothing is wrong.]

[Reward: Intermediate Law Skill]

Noah's lips twitched into a faint smile. Option 2, he thought without hesitation.

[Ding! Intermediate Law Skill has been rewarded!]

Instantly, his mind flooded with knowledge. Whether it was legal terms, contract structures, or loopholes. They all unravelled in his consciousness like a gift.

Arthur, oblivious to the system's activation, watched as Noah leaned forward, scanning the document with focus.

Lily glanced at her father, then back at Noah, noting the intensity on his face.

'I don't see Noah this serious, does he even understand these documents? How does he know everything,' She thought.

Minutes turned into half an hour. Arthur didn't seem bothered, sipping Noah's tea patiently as Noah worked his way through the pages.

Finally, Noah leaned back, placing the folder on the table with a satisfied nod. "All good. Let's sign it."

Arthur's eyes lit up, and he pulled a pen from his jacket pocket. The two men signed their names on the dotted lines, each stroke of the pen marking a moment Arthur would never forget.

After they finished, Arthur stood, extending his hand with a broad smile. "Glad to be business partners, Noah."

Noah stood as well, shaking Arthur's hand firmly. "Likewise."

The deal was simple.

The $20,000,000 buy-in for a 5% stake in the company showed Arthur's good intentions.

It wasn't overly beneficial to either side, it was a clear sign that Arthur valued Noah's partnership far more than just monetary gain.

"This is just the beginning, you still haven't told me about the tea production," Arthur said with a smile on his face.

Chuckling, Noah shook his head. "About that, the sales haven't stabilised yet. But I will assure you that the first partnership we will have will be with you,"

"I am happy if that's the case," Arthur laughed.

...

"The money for the shares should arrive in the next few days, a few apartments have already sold by the way. Do you want the money for these apartments with them, or do you want to wait?"

"It's fine, just let it wait. I will let you know if I need it," Noah said, shaking his head.

"Alright then," Arthur nodded.

After talking about a few things with Arthur, Noah excused himself and left their mansion.

On his way out of the villa complex, Noah's gaze fell on Amelia's mansion for a few seconds.
