Chapter 484: Chapter 484: Intercepted by Someone
“Junior, your charm seems to be growing stronger by the day, now you’ve even got beauties successively inviting you out,” Yang Qingyin teased Luo Ziling with a playful look on her face after he hung up Fang Qianqian’s call. “Fang Qianqian is with Chen Xiaoxiao, and those two beauties asked you out together, yet you turned them down? I really think that’s a shame.”
“We’re going to have seafood later, and I’m paying,” Luo Ziling replied with a smile.
This caught Yang Qingyin off guard for a moment, but she quickly realized what he meant and pinched Luo Ziling with a sly smile, “Are you also planning to ask the waiter for a big bottle of vinegar?”
“How did you guess?” Luo Ziling, grabbing Yang Qingyin’s hand, said happily, “I’ve already smelled the strong scent of vinegar, so I decided to treat you to seafood tonight. You can have as much vinegar as you like. After the meal, we can even swing by the supermarket, no problem, to buy a few bottles of Zhenjiang vinegar for you to enjoy whenever you feel like it!”
Yang Qingyin was immediately infuriated, and if it weren’t for Ye Xiaoli being in front of them, she might’ve pounced on Luo Ziling, baring her teeth and clawing at him.
Of course, Luo Ziling’s teasing was something that Yang Qingyin kept in mind for revenge. Back in the city when Luo Ziling took her out for seafood, as soon as they settled into the private dining room, she retaliated by waving her little fists at him.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Luo Ziling didn’t dodge, letting her small fists fall on him, treating it as if she was tickling him. Taking advantage of the fact that they were alone in the room, he bit her pouted lips as soon as she had vented her complaints. Naturally, taking such liberties provoked another round of coy chastisement from Yang Qingyin, along with more small-fisted attention, but these “reprisals” were what Luo Ziling enjoyed most.
When they left Simatai Great Wall, Yang Qingyin could be described as fuming with rage, but after sitting in the private dining room and playfully fighting with Luo Ziling, her anger had completely disappeared. She actually admired how Luo Ziling could remain so calm and still joke around with her, trying to make her happy even after having been attacked again.
Yang Qingyin knew Luo Ziling was trying to cheer her up because he was afraid she was feeling gloomy, and she felt this from him.
Sitting across from Luo Ziling and looking at each other, Yang Qingyin felt a very warm sensation in her heart.
The first time she saw Luo Ziling, she was attracted to the slightly shy smile of this young man.
Now, seeing him sitting across from her and smiling even more brilliantly, she felt a bit intoxicated. Luo Ziling had a handsome face with some features slightly resembling Ling Ruonan’s. His smile was green, clear, pure, and his eyes seemed to have a magical power that drew you in. Yang Qingyin actually really liked making eye contact with him; during their gazes, she felt as if she were sinking heart and soul into a deep pond, unable to extricate herself.
Looking into Luo Ziling’s eyes, Yang Qingyin said with a light laugh, “Junior, do you remember what I said to you last time?”
“Uh, which comment?” Luo Ziling, who was sipping tea, looked at Yang Qingyin with a puzzled face. “You’ll have to be more specific, with such a subtle reminder, I can’t recall.”
“I said I’m very petty.”
“What’s wrong?” Luo Ziling’s heart suddenly tightened. What was this woman going to nitpick about now?
Yang Qingyin took the vinegar bottle nearby, poured herself almost a full bowl, and then pointed with her finger, “I don’t want you to hang around with Fang Qianqian and Chen Xiaoyi and their group.”
“You’re worried they might steal me away?” Luo Ziling couldn’t help but smile smugly.
“Chen Xiaoyi is not too bad, but the other two, their private lives are not discreet,” Yang Qingyin solemnly cautioned, then expressed another thought, “Fang Qianqian is Fang Dongxun’s sister, I worry she has a special agenda in seeking you out. You should be careful and better keep your distance from them. Okay, I just like to be jealous, so that’s why I’m saying this. If it bothers you, I still have to say it!”
Luo Ziling was somewhat amused and bewildered by Yang Qingyin’s words, but he nodded earnestly in the end: “I’ve taken note of your teachings, Senior. I’ll definitely keep my distance from them and preserve my innocence just for you!”
His words caused Yang Qingyin’s face to turn red, and she spat with annoyance, “Hateful junior, always making fun of me!”
Of course, Luo Ziling couldn’t have expected Yang Qingyin to reveal her petty thoughts and insecurities so openly. In his mind, Yang Qingyin was the type of demure, reserved lady, gentle as water. However, after spending more time with her, listening to her candid words, and seeing her follow him straight to Ouyang Feifei’s place that day, his impression of Yang Qingyin began to change.
This woman acted decisively, with courage; once she thought of something, she would do it, and she didn’t hesitate to speak her mind outright.
From these “petty” gestures of Yang Qingyin, he felt her care for him and it warmed his heart.
The two bantered and teased each other as they finished a seafood feast together, and the gloom from the daytime attack had long since dispersed.
Luo Ziling even felt grateful to those who wanted to retaliate against him for frequently interfering; after these incidents, Yang Qingyin became even nicer to him, showing more warmth.
When they left the hotel, she took the initiative to hook his arm and even suggested they take a stroll outside before heading back to campus.
While wandering through the park at the street corner, Yang Qingyin also wrapped her arms around Luo Ziling, hung on his neck, and gave him an eager kiss.
The kiss was long and passionate, leaving her almost breathless.
After the romantic moment ended and seeing that it was already 8:40, Luo Ziling suggested they head back to sleep early.
Having walked so much, especially up and down steps, Luo Ziling felt his legs getting sore; he could tell that Yang Qingyin was definitely more tired than he was.
Indeed, Yang Qingyin felt somewhat tired, so she had no objections to Luo Ziling’s suggestion.
Once in the car, Yang Qingyin rested against Luo Ziling’s shoulder, openly showing her feelings for him in front of Ye Xiaoli.
Ye Xiaoli could only avoid looking into the rearview mirror, pretending not to notice their intimacy.
She drove very smoothly, trying not to disturb the young couple behind her.
However, when they were not far from the school, she suddenly hit the brakes, significantly reducing their speed.
“Miss, we’re being stopped, it looks like it’s your family,” Ye Xiaoli whispered, turning to Yang Qingyin, “and your father’s car is there too!”
“What?!” Hearing this, Yang Qingyin immediately snapped to attention, quickly spotting the situation Xiaoli described.
Yang Qingyin’s reaction was even quicker than Ye Xiaoli’s; she immediately ordered, “Reverse the car, go back a distance, let Ziling get off.”
Then she said to Luo Ziling, “Get off where they can’t see you.”
Ye Xiaoli quickly reversed, aiming to create distance from the people blocking their way.
“I’ll go meet your father,” Luo Ziling was unwilling.
“On my own, there won’t be any trouble; if my dad sees us together, it’ll complicate things a lot. Now is not the time to play the hero, get out of the car quickly!” Yang Qingyin felt compelled to explain again, “There’s no need for you to talk to my dad, at least not now. I won’t be in trouble, but if you’re with me, I will be. Do you understand?”
“Alright,” Luo Ziling finally agreed.
