Chapter 2857  The End of the Stuart Family

Abby, Gloria, and Ruth gathered on the last level of the 'King of Beasts' underground inheritance, sharing their recovery pills as they finally relaxed.

The three left Minos to absorb the Divine Tail with smiles on their faces, no longer having to deal with the pressures of the inheritance and now assured that they had succeeded in their master plan. As soon as Minos had finished what he was doing, in a few minutes, they could have their most important conversation in years, deciding what to do before returning to Zocarro and then Hell.

Minos would probably reach level 123 in the next few minutes, returning to the head of the group in terms of cultivation, and several options would be available to them again. With that in mind, the three of them were relieved and even calmer about the possibility of dealing with Qhava before too long.

"Now we'll probably visit the planet of that adversary of Minos in Devdar's inheritance, Forfex, and then prepare for the last part of his inheritance," Ruth said, as she felt better after regaining most of her powers.

"I'm curious about this Forfex guy. Minos has said some impressive things about him that, if true, would shock most of the Celestials in the universe." Abby agreed that this was the next step, not just a trip to fulfill a promise, but to get something of immense value to them. "This could eventually give us mechanisms to maintain the Stuart Family's power in perpetuity!"

"We'd better not think too much about that. Maybe this Forfex guy made a mistake or left an impossible job for us to complete for him." Gloria tried to remain calm, being the most rational of the three.

"Well, in any case, it shouldn't be long before we travel to the Upper Realm, now that Minos has got the Divine Tail. With this new step of his, we'll only be one step away from completing our life's goal," Ruth said, feeling emotional, finally seeing that they were about to have their well-deserved rest after all their hurried and violent journey so far.

They knew that in the Upper Realm, there were disputes and intrigues mainly related to Hell. In particular, they knew that resolving Abby's situation with Hell could become a problem for the family when they entered the Upper Realm. But once they were there, the number of opponents would drop dramatically and they would be able to get rid of the time limit on their mortalities.

Even if they weren't going to be true immortals, unless they became Absolutes, not having to worry about the passage of time and finally being able to live more slowly seemed very good to them.

Problems would certainly always exist; there was really no way to avoid all kinds of problems in one's path. But not all problems were like the ones they had faced so far. As the challenges of the Upper Realm remained a mystery to them, they remained optimistic about the future.

Minutes passed, and they were all 100% recovered, when the Divine Tail could no longer be seen near Minos, having begun the last phase of integration with him. His cultivation had already begun to increase at this point, with powerful magical fluctuations emanating from him, going far and wide, causing the laws and spiritual energy of the area to become chaotic.

Gloria, Ruth, and Abby were sitting watching the end of Minos' cultivation with sparkles in their eyes, when the three of them felt a strong chill run down their spines and turned their gazes back toward the stairs they had come down.

Subconsciously, the three felt their bodies sweat, while their hearts beat differently, their pupils constricting at the sight of a dark spot just a few steps away from them.

Something like a powerful defensive formation of this heirloom sprang into action, but before they could have any hope of help against the incoming terror, the heirloom shattered, breaking like a fragile eggshell.

Then a malicious laugh, laden with an unmistakable satisfaction, but also a macabre desire as thick as the walls of this underground building, permeated the air, making the three women feel like they were on the edge of the precipice.

"I seem to have arrived at our little friend's critical moment, haven't I?"

Qhava's voice resounded through the space of the area built by the 'King of Beasts', thousands of meters below the surface level of one of the most dangerous places in Tanus. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Qhava and his group of Hell minions appeared out of the special distortion seen by the three women, each of them shrouded in darkness, their sickle-shaped weapons evoking less than pleasant feelings in the hearts of these women.

But their focal point was not Qhava's subordinates, laughing at the misfortune they were now in. The entire problem was with this woman, clearly showing off her level 128 cultivation, probably one of the strongest in the entire universe.

Abby tried to act, being the strongest of the group and the bearer of an Infernal Crown full of possibilities because she had Devil status, with as many territories as Qhava herself.

Precisely because she was also a Devil, Abby managed to escape the immediate control that Qhava cast over the area, managing to move and summon her own powers in defense of her group.

Gloria and Ruth were not as fortunate as Abby, both falling to their knees as they lost all will to fight, controlled by Qhava's presence. This time, she wasn't fooled by Minos' powers and directly knocked the two women down, not killing them outright, but totally incapacitating them.

Qhava laughed when she saw Abby's position, trying to save her two companions and show some resistance. If it had been in Hell, especially in Abby's own territory, the blue-haired woman's action might have had some effect. But in this place, where only their crops mattered, the futile attempt by the still conscious human was just something to make Qhava laugh.

"And to think you fooled the entire Hell..." Qhava took her steps towards Abby, leaving her men the only escape route from the area. "That was quite a feat, girl! So I won't play games with you. Say your last words and I'll give you a quick death."

Abby even tried to do something other than accept her fate, but with a squeeze of his fingers, Qhava paralyzed her, defusing her attempt to summon the 'King of Beasts' back to the world of the living.

"Even if you kill me, you will die. Minos will not fail here!" she said with determined eyes. She didn't want to die, but she wouldn't weaken in front of an enemy now that she was so close to the peak of the universe!

"Bold words, I like it." Qhava appeared at Abby's side and said her own last words to not only Abby, but the two women kneeling in front of her, "But you're all already dead."

Without even having to move, Qhava destroyed the three women's crowns of darkness.

The three women then fell into a spiral of darkness, their bodies exploding into red clouds of remains.

The spiritual marks of Abby, Gloria, and Ruth disappeared, leaving only Qhava's men, her and the white-haired man sitting in the lotus position a few meters in front of her.

"Undar... No, Minos, you won't have the same chance of dying painlessly as those three!"

At that moment, Minos opened his eyes to face a universe in which he could no longer see Gloria, Ruth, and Abby!
