Chapter 213: 132 Violent Beating (One Update)

Gu Chenglin did intend to teach the other party a lesson, but he definitely didn’t dare to kill him. In a hurry, he directed the coachman to drive the carriage back to the academy. He sneaked in through the back door to check the firewood room.

The chaos inside the firewood room was evident of a hard struggle. There were even a few drops of blood on the ground and the rope was snapped; not by any sharp instruments, but seemingly torn away by sheer brute force.

Gu Chenglin, holding the rope, turned to Gu Chengfeng and said, “Second Brother, look. The kid had enough strength to break through the rope. I told you he was fine!”

Gu Chengfeng breathed a sigh of relief. “It’s best not to kill anyone. Regardless of whether he is Gu Yan or not, stop randomly causing trouble. You’re not a child anymore; stop being willful and reckless like before. If Big Brother finds out, you’ll be punished again!”

“I know, I know. Since neither you nor I would tell Big Brother, who dares to tell him? Does he dare?” Gu Chenglin glared at the coachman.

The coachman quickly lowered his head, “I wouldn’t dare!”

Gu Chenglin chuckled triumphantly, “Alright, Second Brother, let’s head back! Don’t let anything slip!”

Gu Chengfeng shook his head with a sigh and got into the carriage to go home with his younger brother.

The brothers thought the matter was over, but the next morning, Gu Chenglin felt a chill at the back of his head. He choked on his cold water and even tripped while walking.

“What rotten luck!” He grumbled.

Together, they both entered the academy.

Gu Chengfeng, being slightly more scholarly than Gu Chenglin, first handed in his assignments to the tutor.

Gu Chenglin, looking free and idle, couldn’t sit still on his chair as if it were full of spikes.

He went to the restroom.

Just as he reached the restroom entrance, one of his accomplices from yesterday came over. The man’s face still had a bruise, had an expression of fright, and stuttered, “Gu, Third Master Gu, someone is looking for you.”

“Who’s looking for me?” Gu Chenglin glanced at him. “Did you get into a fight?”

The man chuckled awkwardly.

Getting into a fight sounded good.

He was actually manhandled by someone yesterday.

Gu Chenglin, knowing that his prestigious older brother’s name held weight in all the academies, strutted around without fear. No one would dare to mess with him, so he didn’t think a fight was anything scary.

If anything, he would just call for reinforcements and give the other party a good beating.

Gu Chenglin wanted to see who was so arrogant that they requested his personal presence.

The man led Gu Chenglin to the firewood room where they held Gu Yan yesterday. A group of their buddies were already kneeling outside the firewood room; these were the same friends who were with Gu Chenglin at the event yesterday.

All of them looked at the frightened, beaten, shivering group.

Gu Chenglin’s first reaction was confusion.

With his second reaction, anger erupted. These were his men! He could hit them, but others hitting them was disrespectful to him! n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

“Who did this?” He roared in anger.

The gang wanted to speak, but ended up sighing sympathetically at him and lowered their heads in silence.

Even though they were sworn brothers who would face danger together, it was only when their lives weren’t at risk. Now that their lives were on the line, so Third Master Gu, you’re on your own!

Gu Chenglin, rolling up his sleeves, arrogantly said, “Which coward, hiding from me, huh?”

No sooner had he spoken than a hand reached out from the firewood room to grab his collar and rudely pulled him in!

Before Gu Chenglin could even utter a sound, the door was slammed shut.

“Do you know who I am– ah–”

“You are– ah–”

“If you hit me– ah– again, I will– ah–”

“Ah–”

“Ah–”

“Woo … ”

Gu Chenglin’s initial yells gradually turned into whimpers for mercy, but no matter how much he begged, Gu Jiao didn’t spare him.

When Gu Yan was so helpless, did this guy spare him?

If Gu Yan, who didn’t pick a fight, was bullied by him, why would Gu Jiao let him go for unnecessarily causing trouble?

Gu Chenglin screamed as if he was being slaughtered.

His buddies outside could only listen, feeling as if they were experiencing the pain firsthand. Initially, they thought they had it bad, but after witnessing Gu Chenglin’s treatment, they realized that the woman was lenient towards them.

“Why don’t you go get help– ah–” Gu Chenglin roared.

Ask for help?

Who would dare?

This woman’s punch could crush their skulls!

Gu Jiao beat up Gu Chenglin until even his own father wouldn’t recognize him. Then, with a chilly stick, she raised his chin forcing him to look into her icy eyes in the darkness.

“Will you dare touch my little brother again?”

“What little brother?” Gu Chenglin’s mind was about to explode; it took him a moment to realize who Gu Jiao was referring to. His hair stood on end, “You are… that guy’s sister?”
