The Martial Unity

Chapter 2592: Potential Solution

Chapter 2592: Potential Solution

Once their negotiations ended, Rui retired to the provided luxury quarters in the imperial palace of the Britannian Empire, getting some rest to recuperate from the several times he had ended up using his Martial Mind briefly to dispatch some beasts and monsters.

He reflected back on his talks with the Prime Minister.

Much of the initial parts of their conversations had been about hashing out their most intense disagreements.

Prime Minister Edward hadn't seemed to care about treating Rui with stuffy formality as he would any other ambassador as important and powerful.

Perhaps he had known that Rui would not be comfortable with it and would rather avoid having to do things that way.

Perhaps he would rather address Rui with a hint of familiarity since they had already contended once in a now irrelevant war when they both fought for the loyalty of the Shionel Confederation.

Regardless, he had spoken candidly and uncaringly, freely expressing contempt for the ways of the Emperor of Harmony and Rui's own modus operandi. He had conveyed that he had no qualms of pissing Rui off.

He was not about to grovel and kiss Rui's ass.

Even if it was the most optimal option to ensure that he didn't at least displease Rui, which could potentially minimize his benefits that Rui could withhold, Prime Minister Edward signalled that he would hold his head high and would tell Rui to get lost if he went too far with his demands.

This was where his ego came in, undoubtedly.

The Emperor of Harmony would have handled the situation with more tact. There were ways to make Rui feel appreciated and welcomed as a guest in the Britannian Empire without sacrificing one's dignity and pride.

Perhaps the Prime Minister had a point about his father having his own shortcomings, after all. Everybody was only human. But Rui still far preferred the Emperor of Harmony over a ruler like Prime Minister Edward.

Regardless, he considered the agreements they had made as well as the problems that the Master Knights of the Britannian Empire were suffering from. It was not too surprising that they had been negatively affected by such a colossal failure.

Additionally, Rui suspected that he too had played a role in the collapse of their confidence.

He had dominated the Master-level battles of the Great East Panamic War.

He had fought a hundred of his enemies and emerged victorious.

Many of the Master Knights of the Britannian Empire had been rendered entirely or partially paralyzed due to the sheer information flux of his Martial Embodiment amplified by Megamind.

That was deeply discouraging, obviously.

To know that they could be rendered useless with a single glance by an overwhelming force of thought.

If not for the fact that Rui hadn't created the Forge of Creation at the time, he most likely would have shattered their Martial Paths then and there.

"I need to find a way to ensure that they regain their confidence against beasts and monsters. Hopefully, the Hellbringer model will be enough. If Prime Minister Edward does not deem them fit to be entrusted with the survival of the Britannian Empire, then he could very well withdraw his participation from the Sage taskforce," Rui mused, deep in thought.

He had some ideas as to how he could potentially improve their confidence.

"I could just upgrade them even more, to be honest," Rui realized.

He had more to offer to the world than just Hellbringer and breakthroughs, but he had limited himself to them because he hadn't wanted to delay his time at any one place for too long. It was bad enough that he had slept in the Sekigahara Confederate for thirty-six days when he needed to make sure that he moved through humanity in his voyage in a timeframe of five years.

"At the same time, there is no point in limiting myself if ultimately it isn't sufficient to get the Britannian Empire fully on-board with the Sage taskforce." Rui heaved a sigh. "I suppose I will have to spend a little bit more time in the Britannian Empire than other nations." He suspected that this could potentially be the case with all Sage-level powerhouses. It was more important to ensure that these heavy hitters were fully on-board with absolutely no problems whatsoever.

As for the Master Knights of the Britannian Empire, he had a few ideas as to how he could help them.

One of them was something that he had been considering for quite some time.

"I could impart theoretical knowledge of high principles to all of them."

With his perfect recall, the knowledge of the physics and biology degrees that he had was more than sufficient to drastically offer much greater potential to their techniques and Martial Art. Martial Artists only possessed an instinctive and intuitive understanding of high principles based on subconscious pattern recognition from lots of experience.

Even with some theoretical knowledge, they would be able to not only progress faster but also develop more powerful techniques based on high principles.

They would grow stronger.

This was something that was desirable to Rui as he was truly starting to feel suffocated by a lack of powerful Martial Masters. Ieyasu was really the only one who was in the same tier as him; he was almost entirely unrivalled across the entire continent.

Accelerating the growth of Martial Masters by spreading his otherworldly knowledge was something that could eventually allow him to get some form of competition that could further accelerate his growth in turn.

"Perhaps I should consider doing this for more Martial Artists outside of just the Britannian Empire if I can manage to squeeze it in my schedule."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

It was all about what allocation of time and energy would produce the best and most powerful impact for human civilization. It was not easy for him to make a decision involving countless different variables.

"Ah well, whatever. I'll just go to sleep now," he muttered with a tired tone after having exerted himself for days on end.
