The God's Games

Chapter 279 The Turning Point

Then, he saw the people around him clutching their heads, looking confused as they glanced at one another and asked, "What... happened?"

They exchanged looks of bewilderment, unsure of what had just occurred.

It seemed they had all just awoken from a nightmare, unaware that the terrifying visions they'd seen had only been dreams.

But in broad daylight, how could they suddenly fall into a dream?

Father Barry found it even stranger—how did everyone suddenly wake up?

Could it have been Hanjun's doing?

Thinking back to that warm and familiar holy light, Father Barry felt certain—it must have been Hanjun.

He did it to help the people of Ulon City awaken.

The God of Light had not abandoned them!

Realizing this, Father Barry felt relieved that he hadn't become like those people he despised, the ones who had given up on the God of Light's expectations for them.

The people of Ulon City were still unaware of what was happening, so Father Barry hurriedly shouted, "The demons are about to invade the city, but the reinforcements are right behind us! Rally yourselves; we're about to counterattack!"

Jenlyns stumbled out of his room in a daze.

Father Barry's shouts only caused their eyes to flicker slightly before they slipped back into the endless darkness.

He cast healing spells on them, but none of them showed any signs of waking up.

Suddenly, Father Barry noticed a beam of white holy light descending from the sky.

The light bathed everyone in its glow, filling Father Barry with a refreshing sense of clarity.

Hearing Father Barry's call and seeing the dust kicked up by the approaching reinforcements, a look of surprise spread across his face.

With just that one shout from Father Barry, the people of Ulon City quickly regained their composure.

They grabbed their weapons, and upon hearing that the reinforcements were almost here, their spirits were lifted.

If there was any hope, this would be their last chance!

To the people of Ulon City, this was their final chance.

Even if they died on the battlefield, they were determined to fight the demons to the very end.

For their families, for the chance to survive!

After enduring the God of Darkness's mental assault and receiving the blessing of the Holy Light, those who had awakened made a firm resolution.

Their spirits were now unshakable, and nothing could stand in their way.

Jenlyns welcomed the commander of the Knights of the White Wolf.

Looking at the familiar face before him, they embraced, patting each other on the shoulder.

"Brother, how did you get here? And with so many people..."

Jenlyns noticed that among the reinforcements, there were many unfamiliar faces, and some of the banners they carried weren't from the Kingdom of Orinthia.

This sight sparked a realization in Jenlyns.

Could it be that these people were from different countries, all here to save the World of Eorera?

Fitch laughed heartily and said, "This is all thanks to the Holy Son. Under his persuasion, the other nations finally agreed to unite and send troops to aid Ulon City."

Jenlyns's eyes widened in disbelief.

Since the collapse of the human defensive frontline, many countries had either given up or were too weak to offer military support.

Yet despite their previous failures, they were still willing to set aside their differences and send their forces to help.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Doesn't this mean that Ulon City is destined to survive, and there's hope for the World of Eorera as well?

Adelbert tightened the reins, his horse panting heavily beneath him.

They had originally marched quickly, but upon seeing the forbidden spell cast upon Ulon City, they urged their horses to go even faster, and finally, they had arrived just in time.

"Thankfully, we made it! But please rest assured, we are just the vanguard. More troops from other countries are on their way to the frontlines. They will not only be stationed in Ulon City but will also defend various locations along the frontline. You are not alone!"

Hearing this, Jenlyns felt a surge of excitement; he was eager to rush to the battlefield and do his part to eliminate the demon race.

Adelbert continued, "However, with our current strength, we may not be able to face the demons. I've heard that Ulon City has many strategies. Could you share them with us as soon as possible? This way, we can organize a counterattack more quickly."

With allies as reliable as these, Jenlyns quickly called over Father Barry to let the people of the Church of Light enchanted the weapons for the reinforcements.

Meanwhile, he and several commanders entered the war room to start discussing strategies.

Jenlyns was so excited that he trembled with anticipation, and the others, including Adelbert, said nothing, pretending not to notice.

The situation was urgent; they needed to arrange their combat missions immediately.

But the good news kept pouring in like falling snowflakes.

After Adelbert and the others arrived in Ulon City, more reports came in that the heroes had brought the people from the Magic Tower back!

This news once again calmed many hearts.

The return of the people from Magic Tower meant that their greatest strength had come back, and Ulon City was finally ready to rally and begin their counterattack.

Seeing the lively scene in Ulon City, Hanjun looked down and couldn't help but smile.

The God of Darkness squinted his eyes, "Are you pleased?"

Hanjun countered, "Why wouldn't I be happy?"

His wager was far from over.

The people were united, fighting for their destiny.

What reason did he have not to be pleased?

However, the God of Darkness didn't seem as happy.

He could tell that this demon attack was likely to be thwarted once again.

The demons didn't possess the same fierce emotions as humans.

Their actions were entirely guided by the will of the God of Darkness.

In contrast, humans had the ability to unleash even greater power in moments of despair.

They always managed to turn things around at the critical moment—that was the strength hidden within their bodies.
