Chapter 135 [Border Settlement II!]

[Levi's POV!]

"Just what exactly is this city?!" I spoke out loud again as I checked the features of the walls, the trees, the water and even the flowers that were blooming in the city. Everything from the start to the end was a graded item.

"Do you think it's safe to stay here?" Avida asked, as we walked towards the teleportation circle that would take us to the first floor. Since we had enough points, coming back shouldn't be a problem for us. So, clearing the tutorial takes an immediate priority.

"Since Adrian was the one who guided us here, I think it's safe to assume it's safe. But still, just how deep is Adrian's connection to know someone from the city. Though on another note, hmmm, are we the only ones here?" Invar asked as he looked at the area around us.

There were some people that arrived right after us, but that was all. Within the city, we barely found anyone else living here. Not a single being other than the robots that were stationed at various corners of the city.

"Looks like it. Well, let's get to the safe zone first. We can scout the situation after that," Boss spoke, as we all nodded before moving behind her. Slowly reaching the teleportation circle, we stood on it.

It wasn't costly despite what it could have been. The lord of this settlement is surely generous to the masses.

'It's giving me rather creepy vibes to be fair,' I sighed as the more free things are the more costly it later turns out to be. I don't need to say it out loud for the others to understand. Even though nonchalant, they were on their total guard as they activated the teleportation circle.

Pressing the [Yes]button I felt a slight change in the surrounding.

"We really returned, didn't we?" I questioned as I looked at the city around us. Even though we kind of confirmed that we reached the first floor, there was no change in the surroundings. Everything looked the same.

"It's not the same. Look at the signs," Boss spoke, pointing at the signs of the boards present around us. The names were different, and looking at the [Map], there was one teleportation circle that was going to teleport us near the safe zone.

"Though it looks the same, there are minor differences. This city is similar to the previous one, an almost identical replica. But they aren't the same," Boss then added as she began walking towards the teleportation area that would take us to the safe zone.

Following her, we walked along while observing the city features. The points of similarity were so symmetric that it kind of scared me. I observed the [Map], and if not for my special skills and abilities, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between the two cities.

And all this made me question even more.

"Just who made this city? And how…" Avida was scared a bit. And I wasn't any different. All these extraordinary vibes this city was giving, added with the emptiness of the city… It felt rather scary. Let's just get the heck out of this city as fast as possible.

Walking around the city, we reached the teleportation gate and then hurriedly used it to travel near the safe zone. We were surely going to come back and check it out, but not like this. We didn't know what might hit us in this city, about which we had no idea of.

Much to our delight, the teleportation circle transported us near the safe zone, about a kilometer away. We looked at the city gate not far from here, and a relieved smile appeared on our faces.

"Excuse me… ummm… "

A voice called us out, as I saw a bunch of guards strangely looking at us. There were a few more people with the guards that seemed to be of rather high standing.

"Can we ignore them… not really… " I spoke as we all walked towards them. As we reached closer, a red haired woman who seemed rather strong… a bit scary… approached us with a cautious look on her face.

"Hello, I am the Admin of the first floor, Clair. Can you tell me who you are and what this teleportation circle is doing here?" She asked in an authoritative tone.

'An Admin?!'

Her question confused us a bit, though Boss, pondered a bit before answering,

"We don't know. We just finished our tutorial and were guided by the system through this portal."

Clair, the Admin's, eyes widened as she observed boss for a bit before asking,

"By the tutorial… you mean the batch of players that were taking the 2nd phase of tutorial from a month ago?"

We nodded at her, while a rather ridiculed look appeared on her face. And then, narrowing her eyes at us for a few seconds, she then asked,

"Will it be all right if I ask you of the details that happened in the tutorial? And also the situation that led you to here? Don't worry. I will compensate you for the time you might lose."

From the looks on her face, it seemed like something rather unexpected happened here. And if I am not wrong, it must be something related to that sudden change of quest that happened in the tutorial.

And also the appearance of the Teleportation circle.

"Sure. As long as we are compensated properly," A businessman-like smile appeared on Boss's face as she looked at Clair. Clair gulped as she observed the boss's devil-like face, while we all sighed before following behind her.

'For even the Admin to get involved… Adrian, just what exactly are you doing right now?' I shook my head as I put that thought at the back of my mind.

Well. At the very least, it's not going to be boring with him being around.
