Chapter 415 The Saviour
Sekani mauled over the name, it was familiar but nothing was coming to him. He'd heard it before but it slipped away every time he thought he got it.
"The company Kiro owns." Nikolai said seeing he was having difficulties remembering. "Felix has some shares too."
"Oh right, but why are they delivering this to me specifically?"
The delivery boy shrugged, "please sign here."
He put his thumb up front and the paper pad accepted his thumb print. And the boy left immediately.
"A little help?" He said trying to get the box out of their front door.
Wilfred jumped first and they carried the box to the back and opened it, upon opening it a projector sprung up.
"Hello, uh, hello my name is Jon Scott. President of Kismet Inc. Your son demanded that I give you some of these for your adventure," the projector winked.
"Surely he doesn't know?"
Nikolai sighed, "of course he knows, he's not an idiot. When we rescued all those kids from the underground ring we enlisted his help and he came with buses to help us evacuate quickly. He also found the orphanage for Kiro."
The box was full of weapons that the world of Sanctauri had yet to see in their midst. Everything in there was a prototype. As per instructions from Kiro, Jon made it a point to explain how they worked and what they were supposed to do.
"I suppose you're done check the box?" The projection said again, "I'd like some feedback about these when you're done using them. Bye."
All of them couldn't decide whether the projection was live or prerecorded.
With every note they read, it became more and more ridiculous in what these things were claimed could do.
"Is he serious? This Jon person?" Sekani asked, not to anyone in particular.
"Dead serious. He gave us some pretty sweet gear for the underground ring infiltration." Nikolai answered feeling a little important that he knew things they didn't.
There were so many weapons, enough to feed a small army. A knife that could elongate to a short sword. The same batons that were also made as tasers were there. Backpacks that could be shrunk down into pocket sized bags. It was a lot of useful stuff.
"Who's this by the way? Why is he so quiet?" Sekani pointed to James.
"He's from the Hale family, one of the families that are a part of the sanctum. He denounced his family name and came to work as a chef for the academy." Grey Whitmore explained.
"He was there too, when we took the underground ring. He followed us into that place and fought with us." Nikolai vouch for him unintentionally.
"Ah yes sir Waynworth, my name is James Hale. I'm sorry for being so rude by not introducing myself during dinner, I've just been lost for words all this time. Again, I'm sorry."
Sekani sized him up and nodded at his apology, they had just put the gift from Jon Scott away when the butler from the Silva household came to give his master the clothes he asked for.
He had asked for black army pants and shirt with some combat boots. Sekani stiffled a laugh seeing how prepared they had been for this, the dean also had his own delivered by private jet from the academy.
"How long ago did you guys buy these?" He asked unable to control his laughter now.
They both gave him dirty looks without answering his question. It had been far, far too long for both of them. It was too embarrassing to say out loud.
The Butler from the Silva household didn't leave after giving Jesús his luggage. Sekani eyed him suspiciously.
"Why isn't he leaving?" He whispered to his boss.
"Would it be so bad to have him come with us?"
"Do you absolutely trust him, with your life?" They were whispering amongst themselves.
Jesús rolled his eyes, "what do you mean? Of course I trust him. Why would I have him in my house if I didn't?"
"Oh right. You have a point there. Can he fight? Or you will babysit him while trying not to die?"
Jesús clicked his tongue, he undoubtedly couldn't fight. It was rare for Butler to also know deadly moves, it was usually families like the Blakesons who required their staff to have that set of skill.
While the Waynworths didn't ask for something like that, they were lucky to get someone like Wilfred.
"Cameron!" He yelled to the butler.
"Yes, sir!"
"Leave for home, ensure the safety of the Silva household." He was in a certain mood and was saying whatever.
Cameron was confused for but a second and took the orders with grace and left the premises of the Waynworth estate. He had hoped that his master would ask him to help, Mr. Silva rarely put him to work.
Since the last butler retired, he was younger and still learning, while Jesús trusted him because he was related to the previous butler he didn't trust him enough to do some jobs. He decided a long time ago, to give him jobs he could handle.
Hank, his old butler, wouldn't take kindly on his nephew being taken into a slave mine and possibly killed. Despite what everyone believed about every rich person, Jesús Silva didn't tick every box.
He was a man of his word, he did care, if only a little. That was why he was there, he wanted a better world too. While he understood that man can never be equal, he still didn't wish for others to be slaves, he would also be happy if no one died of starvation.
Jesús would never admit it out loud, but he was happy and glad that Sekani came into their world and ruffled some feathers.
Without him or his company giving people jobs, there wouldn't be much hope for their world. He smiled a little looking at the man carrying the box of weapons being helped by his butler, walking into one of the apartments.
"He's something special isn't he?" The dean asked tracing his eyes and looking at what Jesús' gaze was transfixed at.
"Truly." Was all he could say.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
