Chapter 1074 Primal
Chapter 1074 Primal
The whole situation was a little bit too much for Michael and he was clearly overwhelmed with the input of information, but he digested the intel and summarized it in a few simple notes.
The Will was dying and tried creating a successor to fix the only mistake the WIll did when creating the Origin Expanse, and it picked Michael. Michael was a being born in the Origin Universe and thus bound to the Origin. Therefore, he met the requirements and could become the Will's successor. Michael would become the ruler of the Origin Expanse. He wasn't given much time to decide what he wanted but that wasn't necessary. Michael was in dire need of more power. The Will granted him exactly that.
"Don't worry about anything. You are the right choice. I couldn't have hoped for a better successor." The Will said, while stopping right before Michael.
It raised one of its hands slowly, pressing his fingers gently against Michael's forehead. The Will stirred for a moment and Michael flinched. He was about to pull back when he saw something that resembled a smile on the Will's lips.
Was the Will smiling at him? Michael could tell what was happening, yet he couldn't fathom it. Was this really happening to him just now? He shuddered, goosebumps spreading across his arms up to his shoulders and down his back. Michael smiled, but the tension filling his body reflected his true feelings. He was nervous and uncertain of the future.
Still, he didn't retreat further. Michael stood strong and accepted his fate. He embraced it.
"I have watched you for a long time. You might still be young but a young ruler is exactly what the new era needs. They need you," The Will said, but his voice was crumbling. His form rippled and expanded slowly as the pristine Essence holding the Will together spread outward.
The Will's form wasn't stable anymore, but Michael didn't have the luxury to watch the Will dissolve. He was too busy enduring the power that entered his body through the forehead.
The Will's pristine Essence infused into Michael, yet instead of fusing directly into his Energy Vortex of Divinities, the Essence nestled in his War Rune. The War Rune responded by expanding rapidly. It unfolded and transformed. As it unfolded, the Energy Vortex expanded forcefully. The War Rune was too big to be contained by the Energy Vortex, stirring the energy accumulated inside his body to give Michael the final push.
His Energy Vortex roared and expanded, creating a suctioning force to absorb the surrounding Essence. Instead of devouring more pure energy, the Energy Vortex replaced all storages with the Essence flooding him. He devoured the Essence and spread it through his body before integrating it into the expanding Energy Vortex.
Something about Michael changed quickly. His cells burst and were repaired under the constant influx of supreme healing serum and Essence. The pristine Essence fused into every single cell in Michael's body to invigorate them and push them above their designated limit. His cells seemed to mutate and evolve simultaneously, pushing Michael to the next level.
To the level of a proper god. At last, he advanced to the 10th Tier. However, instead of only containing some Essence within his Divinities and energy otherwise as a mortal, who'd attained godhood, Michael's Energy Vortex was filled and overflowing with Essence. Every corner of his body contained much more Essence than his body was supposed to handle. However, instead of crashing down and dying, Michael's body broke apart, only to be healed rapidly.
Several hours, maybe even days or weeks, filled with agony passed. It was horrifying, but Michael smiled through the pain. Every single time his body broke apart, his body regenerated and grew back stronger than he had been. His cells may be filled with Essence now, but that might as well be Michael's greatest advantage. Even without his Divinities, Michael might be stronger than the Primal at this very moment.
The pristine Essence of the Will filled every portion of his existence. It flooded his Soul Sphere, augmenting his Soultraits and upgrading the Soul Power accumulated within the Soultrait Symbols, but that was only the beginning. Far more crucial than the changes to his body, soul, and mind was the new Link that had been established with his War Rune.
The link was an ocean, whereas the Links of Loyalty were droplets of water. There may be billions of Links of Loyalty, but even that was, at most, a bathtub compared to the ocean. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Yet, instead of looking like an actual ocean, the new link was more of a massive pillar of pristine light. It was the Origin Expanse and the link Michael needed to gain access to everything. The pillar was the administration system of the Origin Expanse.
As the Origin Expanse's Pillar took root within his War Rune, Michael felt the changes happening to him. He did not only advance to Tier-10 through the final push of the will but every bit of his existence was filled with Essence now. And it didn't even look like the Essence infused into his body was decreasing. On the contrary, his body absorbed everything like a dry sponge. Meanwhile, the Origin Expanse provided Michael with as much pristine Essence as he could contain. It was almost like the Origin Expanse was eager to find out his limit.
However, there didn't seem to be a limit. His cells changed, his Soultraits improved and transformed as pristine Essence filled every bit of his Soul Sphere and even the Aether within him expanded and transformed. The Pure Aether was growing stronger.
Michael swallowed hard. He'd gained full control of the Origin Expanse and attained godhood. But that was only the beginning. The Links providing Michael with the Soul Power of every being in the Origin Expanse had yet to reach him.
Still, Michael felt stronger than ever.
Essence filled his every action. Even his mind worked faster through the Essence fueling him.
Michael realized something, a chuckle escaping his lips.
He was a Primal.
The first of the new generation at that.
