64  Chapter 49 Mutual Calculations_2

Yan Fei observed from behind and saw the Caucasian man cautiously climbing up the wall to the second floor of the museum and pushing open a window to jump inside. The spot he jumped into was precisely where the rusty gear exhibit was located. This made Yan Fei even more certain that the man's goal matched his own.

Yan Fei waited patiently outside and, after just two minutes, the Caucasian man climbed back out the window, now carrying a small backpack. The man carefully avoided the surveillance cameras and climbed down the wall. Then he got into a car parked nearby and drove away. Yan Fei quickly mounted his motorcycle and pursued the car.

The streets of Nairobi at night were very empty, and the Caucasian man's car was moving fast, continuously heading toward the outskirts of the city. Yan Fei had greatly enhanced his control over his body, which made his motorcycle riding skills flawlessly exquisite. He kept close behind the car, never falling behind.

Together, they drove toward the outskirts of the city and after more than ten minutes, they left the city and arrived in the suburbs. Nairobi's economy was underdeveloped, without enough electricity to supply streetlights along the highways. However, the moonlight was bright that night, allowing Yan Fei to clearly see the car ahead.

After turning a bend in the road where no other vehicles could be seen, Yan Fei suddenly accelerated. His motorcycle began overtaking the car, gradually catching up to it. Just as Yan Fei's motorcycle was getting parallel to the car, the car's window rolled down, and a hand with a pistol extended out, aiming at Yan Fei.

Alarmed, Yan Fei braked quickly, only to see the pistol fire. Yan Fei's fast reaction saved him from being hit, as the bullets struck a large tree ahead, splattering its bark. In his urgency, Yan Fei braked so sharply that his motorcycle nearly flipped, but with his absolute control, he managed to steady the motorcycle.

The Caucasian man, seeing he missed Yan Fei, stretched his arm out the window and fired several shots at Yan Fei behind him. Yan Fei threw his body to the side as the motorcycle slid sideways along the ground, using it as a shield to avoid the bullets coming at him.

The Caucasian man fired several shots, all blocked by the motorcycle, and, realizing he could not hit Yan Fei, withdrew into his car to focus on driving. The car accelerated sharply and quickly sped away from the area.

Only then did Yan Fei stand up from the ground beside his motorcycle, his face ashen. He had thought himself cautious and careful, not expecting his movements to be detected so early on and nearly falling into a trap. He had always thought his actions were well-hidden, yet he now realized he was still lacking experience and had fallen into someone else's calculations.

However, Yan Fei was not discouraged, because at that moment, he felt the Drone Data refresh and the Drone's Energy Points had returned to full. Checking the time, it was precisely midnight in Nairobi, confirming that the Drone Data refreshed according to the local time of its base.

Therefore, Yan Fei activated the Drone. The Drone ascended vertically, leaving the water, and then sped forward at low altitude following Yan Fei's direction, heading toward Nairobi. The Maldives was only three thousand kilometers away from Nairobi in a straight line, and with open sea all around, the Drone did not need to avoid Radar detection; thus, it could fly at full speed and arrive in Nairobi within three hours. As long as the Drone arrived, Yan Fei felt confident in taking control of the situation.

The Drone, under the control of the Auxiliary Brain, flew toward Nairobi without requiring Yan Fei's attention, allowing his physical body to deal with the immediate issues. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Yan Fei then looked over the edge of the road, discovering a winding mountain highway below, with the car moving downhill. The car made a U-turn at the bend ahead and drove back, returning to the vicinity of Yan Fei's location, although on a lower lane.

Yan Fei calculated the distance between him and the road below, stored his motorcycle in the Universal Space, then took a few steps back, steadied himself, and sprinted forward. Reaching the end of the highway, he leaped into the air, soaring, before plummeting down fiercely.

The car below was speeding along the highway, oblivious to Yan Fei jumping down from above. Yan Fei had calculated the angle well, and his descent was directly in front of the car's hood. Yan Fei landed in front of the car, his hands clasped into a hammer-like shape, raised high above, then crashed down onto the car's engine hood with force.

With a loud "boom," the front of the car was smashed by Yan Fei's blow, immediately halting it and causing the front end to dip while both front tires burst due to the tremendous force. The rear of the car, propelled by the inertia, flipped over swiftly, and somersaulted over Yan Fei's head, crashing onto the road ahead. The upside-down car slid along the ground rapidly, its body scraping against the surface, creating a trail of sparks, before slamming against the rocks on the mountainside, coming to a standstill as white smoke billowed from it...

Yan Fei walked forward and saw the Caucasian man hanging upside down in the driver's seat, blood-covered and looking gravely injured.

Yan Fei swung his fist to strike the man's head, just as the Caucasian man suddenly opened his eyes, deflected Yan Fei's fist, and quickly unbuckled the seat belt, leaping out from the other side of the car's hood.

Yan Fei sneered. Playing dead was a trick he had used before, and luckily, Xiao Kong had taught him a lesson. Instead of approaching to check, he struck a potentially fatal blow. If he hadn't done so, his carelessness might have allowed the Caucasian man to launch a surprise attack and lead to his downfall.

Yan Fei did not chase the Caucasian man, but instead bent down and flipped the car, trapping the man between the car and the mountainous rocks. Just then, a gunshot rang out. The Caucasian man's pistol fired, shattering the car's windshield and sending a bullet flying toward Yan Fei.

With sharp eyes, Yan Fei had anticipated the man's gun attack and, observing his movements, dodged the bullet. He then somersaulted and took cover behind the car's trunk.

The Caucasian man crawled out through the hole in the windshield, pointing the gun toward the rear of the car, he said, "Who are you? Why are you following me?"

The man spoke in English. After having knowledge instilled by the Auxiliary Brain, Yan Fei was now fluent in English. He replied, "I'm from the Kenya National Security Bureau. You stole artifacts from the Kenya Museum, and I'm here to catch you."

Thanks to our book-loving patron 'Old Bookworm in Search of Good Books' for their support!

Yesterday, I deleted a post from a friend and realized it was from the very patron I was thanking, which I deeply regret. I must apologize here. I truly believe that 'Old Bookworm in Search of Good Books' is a genuine fan of this book, otherwise, they wouldn't have supported it with donations. However, could we perhaps have a gentler tone in the comments? It would help improve the author's mood to create, and thus contribute higher-quality work for our brothers and sisters. Later, after communicating with this friend, I found them to be quite an interesting character. This turned out to be a case of 'No acquaintance without a fight'!

Thank you again for all your support!
