Chapter 1436: Essence Xing World’s Stargazer

After Shang Xia learned of his External Avatar’s intention, he knew that the bait attempt was bound to fail.

The reason was simple. Shang Xia, a fifth tier True Immortal, had been protecting the Star Beast Nest for a long time. When he left, he was discovered and the Essence Xing World quickly determined his absence. As such, Kou Chongxue took up his post there in Shang Xia’s place.

It had been several years since Shang Xia’s absence was discovered and the Essence Xing World nearly launched an attack on the Star Beast Nest, but they discovered the presence of a second tier True Immortal.

Even if the members of the Essence Xing World were fools, there was no way they would believe that the Spirit Luxuriant World only sent a second tier True Immortal to protect the Star Beast Nest like what they could see.

The third tier True Immortal grunted in approval, but inwardly, he disagreed with the second tier True Immortal of the Chen Dynasty.

When he was thrown around in the spatial storms earlier, the compass was completely destroyed. However, Shang Xia noticed a layer of faint light coming from the compass when he was making his way over, and the needle looked like it was vibrating violently, seemingly attracted to something in the void. Shang Xia looked in the direction and saw that it pointed to the Essence Xing World’s fleet, and curiosity got the better of him.

One had to know that when Yuan Qiuyuan made the compass, there was only 1 goal in mind and that was to find Star Beast Nest No.2.

After it was damaged, Shang Xia didn’t know what changes it had undergone, but it looked like something changed. He wanted to get to the bottom of the matter.

It wasn’t too difficult for him to understand what was happening with the compass now that he had arrived in the Star Beast Nest.

He traveled through the chaotic streams alone to temper himself and prepare for the comprehension of his martial intent. However, there were many experts in the Star Beast Nest at the moment and they were clearly not Shang Xia. They didn’t fly over to the Star Beast Nest on their own.

Shang Xia quickly sent a transmission over to the institution to summon someone and not long later, the Five Element Teleportation Formation activated and Xin Lu appeared in the Star Beast Nest.

Ever since Shang Xia dragged her out from the Star Origin Dao Field, she rarely showed her face outside. She had been hiding in the Tongyou Elysium and the core regions of the Tongyou Institution most of the time.

It was her first time stepping out from the institution after so many years.

Because no one knew that Shang Xia had entered the Star Beast Nest, Xin Lu was brought to his External Avatar before being led to his courtyard.

“Take a look at this. What’s going on?” Shang Xia handed the broken compass to Xin Lu the moment she arrived.

She knew that there had to be a reason she was summoned and she quickly started to inspect the Star Observation Compass. She revealed a look of shock and gasped, “This... The compass was disrupted by a common origin. Are there Stargazers in the Star Beast Nest?”

“Huh?” Shang Xia was taken aback by her sudden request. He looked at the Star Ships floating outside and seemed to understand what happened. “We don’t have Stargazers here, but... Seems like there should be a Stargazer in their fleet.”

Shang Xia turned to look at Xin Lu as he continued, “Do you know what they’re trying to do? Why did they cause the compass needle to point in another direction?”

“They’re probably trying to locate our world by using the connection to the Star Beast Nest. In my opinion, they’re wasting their time. Our world isn’t connected to the Star Beast Nest by a spatial tunnel. Instead, we used the Five Element Teleportation Formation. Xin Lu might have just reached the Martial Dipper Realm, but she was a Stargazer. Her status in the Tongyou Institution was extremely high and she knew some high-level secrets. That included their contact with other worlds outside the Star Curtain, among other things.

Shang Xia thought for a second and mumbled, “There’s no need to care about the position of our world. They won’t be able to find it... However, that leaves one thing. That’s a path that leads into the Heaven Observation Field through the Star Curtain.”

“Oh.” Shang Xia grunted before communicating with his External Avatar. He quickly confirmed her guess. In recent years, the Essence Xing World had been carrying out constant trade with the Spirit Luxuriant World and a fleet would come at regular intervals.

“You’re right. The Stargazer of the Essence Xing World should have hidden in the fleet and he probably came by many times already.” Shang Xia’s reply caused Xin Lu to become a lot more confident in her guess.
