Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 368 367: An Innocent Smile

368  367: An Innocent Smile

BANG!

"Cough Cough… Son of a bitch."

After Divine threw the fireball at the ceiling of the sewers, Corey coughed and then cursed due to the dust that was produced as a result of the explosion.

Corey waved his hand at the air in front of him, and then he squinted his eyes and looked up.

"Let's go."

Divine's voice drifted into his ears, and his senses perceived Divine jumping into the hole above them.

Corey shook his head once again, then he jumped after Divine. His feet made no noise as he landed, and he saw Divine looking around with a cautious expression.

Corey also glanced around him. Although he knew there was no living being where they were, and the place seemed abandoned, he knew he could never be too careful.

When he sensed that there was nothing out of the ordinary, he looked at Divine.

"Do you know where we are?"

Divine nodded, "I do…" He paused, "... We should be in the Outer Area of the city of sin."

Corey raised a brow, "We should?"

Divine scratched the side of his head when he heard the skepticism in Corey's voice, "Well, I'm not completely sure. The Underworld is large you know? I can't know every part of it even if it's the Outer Area."

Corey looked at Divine for a few seconds, then he shifted his gaze to their surroundings. Apart from some destroyed and battered houses, there was nothing else around them.

His Ears of Omniscience did not pick up the sound of any living human. Only the sound of rats, some small animals, and insects scurrying around drifted into his Ears of Omniscience.

Although he could use his Eyes of Omniscience to see if there was truly anything, he knew that his Ears of Omniscience were as powerful as his Eyes of Omniscience.

If he decided to actively increase the range and frequency of his Ears of Omniscience using mana, Corey knew he had the potential to hear almost anything and maybe even the sounds of atoms colliding with one another.

"I never knew there was an abandoned place like this in the Underworld," Corey remarked after observing his surroundings for a few seconds. "Well, there are places like this even in the central area. The Underworld officials usually abandon them for whatever reasons they had. I don't know."

Divine shrugged, and Corey looked at him with a tinge of surprise and mockery in his eyes.

"I thought you knew everything, Divine."

A vein popped in Divine's forehead when he heard the unconcealed sarcasm in Corey's tone.

"How do you expect me to know everything? What am I? An Omniscient Being?"

Corey cleared his throat while looking away with a strange glint in his eyes. Before Divine's mind was able to register his strange behavior, Corey quickly spoke with a mocking tone and a mocking smile.

"I mean, one would think you're an Omniscient Being with the information you have given me, Divine. You said it yourself, the information you gave me is something that even most powerhouses don't know. So how were you able to get the information if you were not an Omniscient Being?"

Corey's eyes gleamed with a mocking light while also containing a tinge of cunningness as he gazed at Divine's pissed-off expression.

"First of all, I was able to get the information through my special means-"

Corey cut Divine off, "You mean your Omniscient means?"

Pop

A pop resounded from Divine's forehead, and with an annoyed expression, he shouted, "No, you Motherfucker! I said I'm not fucking Omniscient!"

"If I was, do you fucking think I'll still be here?! I would become the strongest in our world in two months at most."

"In fact! If there's somebody out there that wished to be Omniscient and actually got an Omniscient Talent, that person has to be the most useless person in the whole fucking Universe!"

"..." Corey

"I mean, why has the person not become the strongest in our world already? How fucking useless can he or she be, huh?! Fucking hell, the person should be able to know everything and also have the ability to learn every fucking ability instantly."

"..." Corey

"Learn extremely powerful skills and even talents! Become the strongest! Save our world! And kill every Outsider who wants to take control of our world! Fuck! How difficult can it be for an Omniscient Being?!"

"..." Corey

"Just thinking about such a person makes my blood boil! If I could, I would have made a wish to be Omniscient, and I'll be able to kill even tier 6s as a Mortal!"

"..." Corey

"I swear, whoever that made such a wish either is the most foolish!…"

"..." Corey

".... Retarded!..."

"..." Corey

"... Stupid!…"

"..." Corey

"...And also the most useless person in the entire fucking Universe!"

"..." Corey

Divine suddenly frowned, then he held his chin with a pondering expression, "Maybe the person is a cripple and can't do anything, cause I can't imagine how somebody that would be so useless would be allowed to exist and obtain such a talent."

"..." Corey

Divine looked at Corey with the same pissed-off expression, and then he poked Corey's chest with his finger.

"Also! If I was Omniscient, I'll make sure to find you and stick the biggest and longest rod I can find down your asshole, you fucking piece of shit!"

The instant Divine said these words, Divine paused as realization suddenly dawned on him.

He looked at Corey and Corey looked back at him.

"..." Corey.

"That- That came out wrong." Divine smiled nervously, and then he looked at Corey. When he saw Corey's emotionless face, Divine felt his heart skip a beat.

"I never knew you were gay, Divine." Corey emotionlessly said, and Divine felt his heart skip a beat.

Divine hurriedly tried to salvage the situation since his guts were telling him that he was going to regret what he had just said in the future, "Hey- Hey man. You know we're friends, right? Friends forgive and forget."

Divine tried to pat Corey on his shoulder, however, Corey stepped back with an innocent smile.

"When did I ever call you a friend?"

"But-"

Without giving Divine a chance to speak, Corey cut him off with the same innocent smile.

"By the way, I've been recording you from the moment you started speaking since my guts told me that you were about to say something interesting."

Without waiting for a reply, Corey stretched out his left arm which had the Watch of the Underworld, and in the next moment, Divine's voice flowed out of it.

{Also! If I was Omniscient, I'll make sure to find you and stick the biggest and longest rod I can find down your asshole, you fucking piece of shit!}

"Fuck." Divine's face turned white and he looked like had seen a ghost.

He looked at Corey, and when he saw the same innocent smile on Corey's face, he got the biggest chill of his life.

"What do you want?"

"Hm?" Corey tilted his head with the same innocent smile.

"I said what do you want? What do I have to do for you to delete that recording?" Divine tried to speak with a calm tone, however, the quiver in his voice betrayed his emotions.

Corey's smile widened slightly, and for an instant, Divine thought he had seen the devil right in front of him.

"If you want me to delete the recording, my good friend. You're going to have to pay for it. And let me tell you this…" Corey's smile reduced slightly, and it became more… 'innocent'.

"... It's going to be the most expensive deal you will ever make in this lifetime, and in the next."

Divine froze, then he looked at the ground, hoping for it to swallow him completely.

"Fuck my life man." Nôv(el)B\\jnn

So, this chapter was not meant to be about this. However, shit happened, and voila! We got this chapter

Please don't forget to check out my second book- Against The Devil. Although it's slow paced, you guys should still enjoy it since it's much more different and unique compared to Single Wish and a lot of other novels.
