Chapter 658 Bubble
"Okay, so hear me out." Kenneth had gathered everyone in the living room after finishing dinner. And he was going to brief the activities that he had planned for today.
"Let's rest here for a bit and let our food get settled down. And then we can go on the deck. Those who are confident about swimming in the ocean can go for a dive. Those who aren't confident can sit down and sunbathe, and watch the endless ocean. And then–"
Zach raised his hand and interrupted Kenneth. "I don't know how to swim properly because I never really liked getting wet."
He shrugged and continued, "So, obviously, I won't go for a swim. But I don't want to sunbathe as well. I don't like getting sweaty, which is equivalent to getting wet from the water that your body produces. So may I ask what can I do to occupy myself while the rest of you enjoy?"
Kenneth pursed his lips and nodded. And then he asked Zach, "Then what about sitting here and reading some books?"
Zach wrinkled his nose in disgust and said, "I don't like books, Kenneth. And I am definitely not touching one when I am on a vacation."
Ariel and Niylah were glaring at Zach for being the oddball.
But Zach frowned and shrugged at them. "What? I don't want to do things that I don't like."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Then shall we all stay here and play some indoor game?" Kenneth looked at everyone and asked for their opinion.
However, Ramon was the first one to protest. "No. I have been sitting indoors for 2-3 days now. I don't want to play some stupid game when the vast ocean is waiting for us right outside."
Zach then instantly shouted at Ramon. "But you enjoyed playing the same stupid games while we were in the carriage, didn't you?"
"That was different. I didn't have any other options in the carriage, did I?" Ramon countered.
Those two boys didn't look like they were going to compromise.
Ramon then glanced at the girls and asked in a bit heated-up voice, "Niylah, Ariel, what do you two think we should do?"
Niylah rubbed her wrist with her palm and replied, "I think I could use some fresh air on the deck."
The boys looked at Ariel.
Ariel wanted to go out into the ocean. But she shrugged her shoulders because she really didn't want to disappoint Zach.
"Come on, Ary! Pick one!" Zach narrowed his eyes at Ariel.
"Anything is fine by me, really," Ariel mumbled.
Zach then decided, "Okay, I will stay here with Ariel. You three can enjoy getting wet or sweaty or whatever."
However, Kenneth didn't really want to divide the already small group into two.
"I wish we all could do the same activity together," he stated while looking at everyone's faces.
"Well, then suggest something that we all could enjoy," Ramon gave a challenging look to Kenneth.
But Kenneth was already out of ideas. So he looked at Ariel as if to ask for her suggestion.
And the others also looked at her, waiting for her to come up with something.
Ariel furrowed her brows and brainstormed to see if she could come up with any ideas for some activities that everyone would enjoy. A subtle smile appeared on her face.
She looked at Zach and asked, "You will go inside the ocean if I promise that you won't get drenched, right?"
"Go inside the ocean without getting drenched?" Zach gave a look of disbelief.
Ariel smiled and nodded. "Yes. Will you come along?"
Zach blinked twice. He was still unable to comprehend how that was even possible. But he agreed, "If I won't get soaked in water then sure, I will come along."
He then gave a questioning look to Ariel and mockingly asked, "So, how do you plan on making the water dry? I hope you aren't suggesting to air dry me after I come out of the ocean, fully soaked."
Ariel smirked and replied to her cousin's mocking words, "No, I cannot make water dry. But I think I know of a way to keep us all dry."
She then jumped up on her feet and started to head towards the deck while shouting, "Follow me, my lovely underlings."
"Pst…" Zach leaned towards Niylah and asked, "What happened to Ary? Doesn't she look a little too… excited?"
"Aren't the two of you always excited?" Niylah asked sarcastically.
Zach gave a corner-eyed look to Niylah and ran to catch up with Ariel. He put his arms around Ariel's shoulder and complained, "Niylah is calling us overly eccentric. Make sure to get her drenched."
"I can hear you," Niylah hummed from behind.
And Zach hummed back, "You were meant to hear that."
Ariel chuckled and shook her head. "Don't fight you two."
When they all reach the deck, Ariel took a deep breath in and asked everyone, "First, I am going to test my theory. And then I will come and get you all."
Zach suddenly ran back to Niylah and asked Ariel, "What do you mean by test your theory? Haven't you already done this before... whatever it is that you are going to do now?"
Ariel grinned and replied with full confidence, "No, I haven't. But I am sure it will work."
She then stood at the edge of the deck, almost giving a heart attack to everyone.
"Hey, careful!" Kenneth ran to Ariel's side in the blink of an eye and grabbed her hand.
Ariel smiled at him and said, "I am not feeling dizzy. I will be fine."
"Are you sure?" Kenneth asked while still holding her arm.
He only left her when Ariel gave a nod.
Ariel looked down at the blue ocean to prepare herself. Her heart was filled with excitement as she was about to experiment with something new.
She slowly lifted herself into the air. She then surrounded herself with an air bubble that was currently invisible to everyone's eyes.
Ariel then began descending to the ocean. And when she touched the surface of the ocean, the bubble became visible.
"Whoa!" Kenneth looked impressed when he realized what Ariel was doing.
The others also walked towards the edge of the deck to get a clear look at Ariel.
Zach widened his eyes and mumbled in amazement, "What is that? It looks like she is cutting through the water."
Ariel further dove down inside the ocean along with the air bubble that she was in. The water enveloped the bubble but the bubble was intact. Ariel was freely moving underwater along with that bubble.
Niylah smiled and said, "She isn't cutting through the water. She has created an artificial waterproof atmosphere around her. Don't worry now, Zach. You won't get drenched."
And Ramon added to what Niylah had said, "And we can probably travel to the beds of the ocean without so much as getting a water droplet on our body."
From the far corner of the deck, Damien was also watching Ariel's marvelous feat with a wide smile on his face. "She's really incredible." He felt very proud to see the magical growth of his friend. Experience tales with empire
Ariel tried roaming up and down, side to side, and in every direction so that she could get a hang of that amazing medium of transportation.
"This works!" She exclaimed with happiness.
Ariel could see several sea creatures passing by. She smiled and mumbled, "Everyone will like it. The view from underwater is so amazing. Now let's go up and fetch everyone."
Ariel then shot herself up in the air.
