RWBY: Dragon's Heart

Chapter 62: "All I need is thirty seconds"

Chapter 62: "All I need is thirty seconds"

Time seemed to slow for the fused woman. Though in truth, her perception had vastly

increased, along with her physical attributes. So much so, that even a single second seemed to stretch on for a while.

Turning her attention to Sirzechs, she created a plan. Though all that plan really amounted to

was..

"I'm in a hurry. So I'll have to beat you in thirty seconds." Her voice, a perfect blend of mature and youthful, stated with pride.

Before Sirzechs replied, she took one step and appeared right in front of him, her fist cocked back. Sirzechs raised his arms and felt a tremendous force smash into them. He felt both of his arms go numb as the impact traveled through them. Unlike last time, he was truly trying to stay standing, but he still ended up flying back twenty meters.

Judging by his expression, he really hadn't expected it to hurt.

"Hey now.. There's no reason for this to escalate. Why don't-" Sirzechs started to try and deescalate the fight, but his opponent wasn't listening. Or rather, she didn't have time to listen.

Her left hand shone with a bright golden energy before waving it at the ground. Sirzechs prepared for an attack, but was met with the sight of roots and bark rising from the ground, growing so high and reaching out to him.

*RUMBLE*

As if that were not enough, massive spikes of earth and molten lava erupted, creating new mountains from the shifting rock. All intent on attacking Sirzechs.

Sirzechs was forced to dodge the sprouting mountains and trees suddenly springing to life beneath him, where there had previously just been a barren land.

"Enough!" He waved his hand as waves of pure destruction blasted the mountains and trees

away.

But it was hardly enough. Half of it had been obliterated in an instant, but as if possessed, they simply grew back twice as large and tough. As if whatever was touched by that golden energy gained a ferocious will of its own. Sirzechs watched in disbelief as they regenerated and combined, taking the shape of a Dragon.

The creation let out a primal roar and swatted Sirzechs down from the sky. Its body of bark and stone crushing everything beneath it as it pounced on the fallen Satan.

"Urgh!!" Sirzechs held the mountain sized creation back from crushing him while pushing his power of Destruction out, taking far more than it should to blow half of the beast apart.

"What.. was that?" Sirzechs asked with a grunt of exertion.

His only answer was an amused snort as the fusion of Yin and Yang landed in front of him. "You could have avoided this if you'd just let us go. Hm..?" The fusion tilted her head, feeling multiple magical signatures starting to move towards them.

All of them close to Sirzech's level of power. Which would only further delay them. Ten seconds had passed after her emergence but she was still confident, as long as Sirzechs was by himself.

Opposite of the power of Creation, the power of Ruin surged from within Equinox's body. The dark purple energy coalesced within her leg as she stomped. Waves of power shattered space in an instant, spreading out for several kilometers and interfering with the other Satan's intention on interfering.

The waves of Ruinous energy washed over Sirzechs as well, forcing him to shield himself with his power of Destruction. It was so intense that he found his armor shatter under the power of Ruin. Luckily, it stopped just before his shield gave way.

*Pat*

Equinox pat his shoulder from behind. The Devil King looked at her in shock.

"When.. did you get behind me?" It wasn't as if she could teleport. Having successfully shattered the space around them, it made teleportation impossible.

"You're lucky part of me knows how you really are. I'll be gentle. As difficult as that may be. You're a bit too strong." Equinox stated with what he could tell was respect.

He tried to raise his arms but her fist had already smashed into his gut. Sirzechs flew away like a shooting star, flying well out of range of the shattered space before his body roughly crashed into the ground, upheaving it as he slowed to a stop.

Equinox turned to the Nekoshou sisters and Shia, taking in the looks of shock and awe for a second before quickly moving over to them.

"Yin..? Er.. Y-Yang?" Shia asked, having finally closed her jaw.

"Yes. No time for questions though. We're leaving." Equinox replied, noting her time left being thirty seconds.

Scooping up Kuroka and Shirone on her back, she held Shia in her arms before coating them all with her magic and rocketing off at mach speeds. The magic signatures she felt had teleported outside of the shattered space and were trying ro lock onto her. Given her insane magical prowess, it was only a matter of time.

"Wait! Where are we going!?" Kuroka managed to yell through the extremely fast winds passing by them.

"Human world. Japan. You have some sort of backing there. Ideally, we should go to Kyoto. I just need to get to the right place before forcing open a way there." Equinox responded, her eyes extensively scanning the area.

Soon enough, they reached the border of Tanin's territory. Though they were still being pursued and the time remaining was ten seconds. Multiple teleportations were felt all at once, forcing Equinox to take quick evasive maneuvers.

Serafall Leviathan, Falbium Asmodeus, Ajuka Beelzebub had arrived, along with a winded

Sirzechs.

"So be it.. Hold on." Equinox said, before her speed and power quadrupled.

[Accelerated Power: Active]

Serafall was forced to move away from the burning streak of light Equinox had turned into, having teleported in front of her.

"Waaah!! Zechs! What is that!?" Serafall asked incredulously, barely keeping track of the streak of light as it flew deeper into Tanin's territory.

"That's who I was dealing with earlier.." Sirzechs replied, rubbing his now sore stomach.

"Well let's- Eh..? It's gone.." Serafall squinted in disbelief, teleporting over to a crack in

space.

The other Satans all teleported next to her, observing a two meter long rift that was slowly

-closing.

"Should we go after them..?" Falbium asked with a yawn.

"They passed through the Dimensional Gap. We've lost them. What'd they even do to risk that

kind of stunt?" Ajuka sent an inquisitive look Sirzech's way.

"Aaah.. I really tried to resolve this peacefully.." Sirzechs sighed before explaining the

circumstances.

Serafall and Ajuka gave him some rather unimpressed glares, while Falbium appeared to be

nodding off, mid-air.

"Uuugh..! They were Nekoshou, right?" Serafall asked, feeling a headache coming on.

"Yes..? What does that matter?" Sirzechs responded, getting a bad feeling.

"The Japanese faction? We could hand them over to the Youkai in Kyoto and question them.

You pushed too hard, 'Zechs. From what you told me about the Naberius, it's no wonder the girls didn't want to stay in the Underworld. There were better ways to go about this." Serafall

huffed in annoyance.

"You probably were thinking of assuring their safety then giving them a good deal if they accepted going into Rias' peerage, weren't you?" Ajuka added.

Sirzechs at least had the shame not to deny it. That's exactly what he intended to do.

"It wouldn't just be for Rias though. I was thinking it'd help stack the odds in our favor if the peace talks failed." Sirzechs admitted.

"Bad idea. Rocking the boat now might actually set off another war. Consult with us next time before making big decisions." Serafall said before quickly teleporting away.

"Mmmhm.. What she said." Falbium yawned before doing the same.

Ajuka pat Sirzechs shoulder as he watched the rift close regretfully.

"Be thankful this didn't escalate. Going by her speed, if you two seriously fought, half the Underworld would be in chaos by now." Ajuka added before he too teleported out.

"Grayfia's gonna be mad, isn't she..?"

-Kyoto, Japan-

Kuroka woke up to a clear blue sky. Momentarily confused until she remembered what

happened. The extreme speed they had reached at the last moments had knocked her and Shirone out cold. And so too did Shia, judging by how she was only just now waking up too.

"Uuuhn.. What.." Shia mumbled as she sat up shakily.

"Onee-chan.." Shirone pulled on her sleeve.

"One second, Shinone-Nya." Kuroka took a few breaths, her mind finally registering the fact

that they escaped the Underworld.

"We.. We did it. Yin and Yang.. Wait? Where.." Kuroka looked around, seeing that they were on

a grassy hill just outside the city of Kyoto.

"Onee-chan.. look." Shirone called out again, pulling her sleeve and pointing over to their

left.

Yang and Yin had separated from Equinox, both being splayed out on the grass with their energy completely drained. But aside from being glad they were okay, there was something

there.

No, there was someone there.

Floating above Yin was a little girl with black hair and eyes. She was dressed in a rather

strange lolita dress with black tape covering her nipples. Her eyes, usually devoid of interest

or emotion, seemed to shine at the sight of Yin. As if she were a Mother looking at her own

child. "You.. are Silence. My precious silence.." She gently scooped up Yin's head in her arms, as if she were an infant, and placed it against her chest.

A sigh of utter contentment escaped her lips as she embraced the unconscious Yin.

"What!? Hey! Who are you? Why are you hugging my Yin!?" Shia demanded an answer.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The little girl just looked over at her impassively before saying, "Too noisy. Come, my dear."

The little girl then pulled Yin through another rift in space, so quickly that by the time Shia

stood up, they had already disappeared.

*CRACK*

"How dare..." Shia grit her teeth in anger, running over to the area the little girl created the

rift at, trying her damnest to reopen it.

"She was a Dragon too-Nya.." Kuroka stated, finally easing up after the girl left. Though she too looked concerned with how casually she just took Yin.

"Shia! There's no following her like that. The Dimensional Gap is way too dangerous. I don't

think she wanted to hurt Yin, so try to relax." Kuroka said as she helped Shirone up. Shia untensed her shoulders, knowing she was very likely right.

"R-Right.. Sorry. I'll carry Yang. Do you have anywhere here we can go?" Shia picked Yang up

on her back and looked at Kuroka hopefully.

"I do have an idea-Nya.." Kuroka remembered the Yokai leader of Kyoto. The Kitsune with the largest chest she had ever laid eyes upon, Yasaka.

Perhaps she would help, despite her current condition as a Devil/Yokai hybrid.

[AN: I must apologize for the lack of a chapter last week. Xmas was busy for me and I needed

to get one particular idea out of my head to focus on this.

A Medaka MC, who after biillions of years in forced servitude to a Goddess of Control is

finally freed by Tearwyn and Lilith. If you don't know how BUSTED Medaka is.. Look it up. Which brings me to this.

I want you all to choose what I should focus on. Top 3 choices will be what I focus on for a month. Then I'll ask again. All my unfinished fics. On WN or FF.net are viable.

1. Dragon Heart. (This fic lolol)

2. Branwen (Raven MC)

3. Re: Kampfer (Kampfer's Sakura Kaede evil MC)

4. A Hero's Second Chance (Shirou's soul in Alter Artoria Lancer's body in Camelot with OG

Artoria)

5. ZZZ/SL: Apex Predator (Belle MC with Mahoraga Template and Gacha)

6. Lucoa in the Multiverse (Lucoa MC in various worlds. Less serious vibe)

7. The Sovereign (Akeno MC in DXD as a Vasto Lorde)

8. Worm Fate-ful Encounters (Jalter, Barghest and Emiya MCs Isekai'd in Worm with other

servants)

9. Medaka MC working for Tearwyn in the multiverse (Name pending. Existence pending.
