Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 73 Divination

"However, not even the Universal Tribulation could withstand this Sovereign's power." Maximillian shamelessly boasted with a wide grin on his face.

He then continued, "Then, at the age of three-"

[Host, could this monkey be your long-lost twin?] The System suddenly asked.

[... I pray that one day you obtain a body.] Lucian snapped.

"At the tender age of seven, I became a-"

"Enough… We aren't here to listen to your shameless boasting." Lucian interrupted Maximillian, realizing he would go on forever unless he was stopped.

Maximillian sighed.

"Haah, I was just getting to the good part… Youngsters nowadays… They don't know how to respect their elders."

A moment later, with a smile, Maximillian continued, "Anyways, this Sovereign has said his name, what are your names?"

"Lucian." Lucian simply said, and just as he was about to introduce Lily, he felt a sudden movement from his lap.

To his internal sadness, a red-faced Lily stood up from his lap and sat in the chair beside him.

With her head lowered from embarrassment and shame, Lily muttered in a mosquito-like voice, "My name is Lily. It's nice to meet you."

"Lucian and Lily. Hmm, very well!" Maximillian said before his expression suddenly changed. With a serious expression on his face, he continued, "Now that the introductions are over. Let me first thank you for what you have done, Lucian."

Then, Maximillian lowered his head onto the table in Lucian's direction.

Once his forehead touched the table, he sincerely spoke, "I, Maximillian Von Bellatrix, am eternally indebted to you, Lucian."

If anyone, who was a bit knowledgeable were to witness this scene, they would be shocked, due to Maximillian's status, identity, and most importantly, his Mage Rank.

However, no other person besides the three were there. But even if there were witnesses, Maximillian would not have cared.

[What do you think, System? Is he a tsundere?] Lucian asked the System after Maximillian's sudden gratitude.

[I would not be shocked if he was. But one thing is for certain, he is definitely shameless] The system replied.

[Mm.] Lucian agreed with the System's assessment of Maximillian.

A few seconds later, Maximillian raised his head and looked into Lucian's indifferent eyes. "You two must be curious as to why you're both here and why I just bowed my head, no?"

Lucian and Lily nodded.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

However, Lucian was only curious why they were brought here.

After seeing Lucian's 'eagerness' to know, Maximillian continued, "Although, you deserve to know everything. Unfortunately, as it involves the Universal Laws, I am only able to tell you certain aspects."

'Hmmm, interesting.' If before Lucian barely cared about why they were brought here, now he was all ears to listen. Anything related to the Universe would interest him, especially since Maximillian hated the Universe Spirit.

Seeing Lucian now caring about his story, Maximillian smirked and explained, "A hundred thousand years ago, due to a grave mistake on my part. What should have been a day of celebration turned into a day of mourning and grief." He paused as anger and hatred began consuming him upon recalling what happened that day. However, he controlled his anger and hatred from unleashing outward.

"My son, just as he was born, was killed by the Universe Spirit before I could even react."

"What!? Who would harm an innocent baby!? How could someone do that!?" Lily screamed angrily, even forgetting her embarrassment and overlooking Maximillian was actually over a hundred thousand years old!

Despite not understanding many of the confusing terms, Lily was furious when she heard Maximillian's newborn baby had been killed. How could someone be that ruthless?

But the next instant, her expression saddened as she realized if a husband could betray and cripple his wife, then killing a baby was not much worse.

Instead of being consumed with anger like the innocent Lily, Lucian thought rationally.

Despite the lack of information. Lucian understood the jist of Maximillian's story. He must have done something that went against the Universe Spirit or its Laws. Thus, as punishment, the Universe Spirit took away what Maximillian held most dear to him — his son.

"HOW DARE YOU MAKE MY SON INTO THAT ABOMINATION, MORTAL!?"

Recalling Maximillian's earlier words, his son was still alive. Which brought up the question, how could the Universe Spirit fail in killing his son? It was an impossibility!

There were only two possibilities: he lied about the Titan Drunken Blood Monkey being his son, or he somehow preserved his son's Soul.

Lucian did not believe Maximillian lied about the Titan Drunken Blood Monkey being his son. Otherwise, why would they be brought into his Dimension?

Now, Lucian was truly curious how Maximillian managed to save and preserve his son's Soul from the Universe Spirit. Something, which even Ancestral God Lucian could not do, yet he had done it.

'Primordial…' Lucian suddenly recalled that term. It was a term he had only learned after the three Lucians fused.

'Are Primordials above the Gods? And is he a Primordial?' Lucian thought as he looked at Maximillian, who seemed like he was waiting for something.

'I'll see if the System knows later.'

After a few moments of silence, Lucian finally asked Maximillian, "And then? What happened after?"

A profound glint appeared in Maximillian's eyes as he recalled what happened after.

After a moment, he responded, "What happened next could only be called a miracle. The Universal Spirit was too arrogant and believed its attack had easily killed my newborn son. Although it was correct, it had killed my son; however, my son's Soul had not been entirely erased. A fragment of his Soul still remained within the air, as though reluctant to part, which I saw with my Fiery Golden Eyes."

Lucian's eyes narrowed, "You somehow managed to preserve that Soul Fragment."

Maximillian nodded, "That's correct. I used a Soul Urn, a rare Artifact capable of holding and preserving Soul Fragments from entering Heaven or Hell. However, I knew even that was not enough to save my son. There were two main problems. The first, if the Universe Spirit scans our home, it can easily discover the Soul Urn housing my son's Soul Fragment.

The second, I nor anyone from my Golden War Monkey Clan had the ability to revive a Soul. Left with no other choice, my wife and I asked the greatest Divination Expert in our clan to find someone who could help us protect our son's Soul Fragment and revive him when his Soul finally recovered."

"Haah." Lucian suddenly sighed, interrupting Maximillian's story.

Lily, who was so engrossed in Maximillian's story, pouted when Lucian suddenly interrupted.

"Big Brother Lucian, why did you interrupt Grandpa Max? Lily wants to hear the happy ending!" Lily said, surprising Maximillian with how she addressed him.

"Sorry, Lily." Lucian apologized, then explained the reason why he interrupted with a vein threatening to burst, "I interrupted because I realized a hot potato was given to me."

"Hot potato?" Lily mumbled, confused. Even Maximillian slightly furrowed his brows at the phrase.

Realizing they did not understand, Lucian explained while glaring at Maximillian, "It means I was given a ticking time bomb that will eventually explode, killing me with it!"

"Ahh, Lily understands now." Lily nodded but was still confused about how Grandpa Max's son had anything to do with her Big Brother Lucian.

Meanwhile, Maximillian coughed and turned his head away from Lucian's glare. While acting like he found something interesting on the white wall, he continued, "My wife and I both knew, no, our entire clan knew reviving a Soul was an impossibility, but we were just that desperate to save our son.

Yet, to our shock, the Divination worked, Guo Von Bellatrix, our clan's Divination Expert, managed to find someone in the distant future who could revive our son." At this point, he looked straight into Lucian's eyes and continued, "And to our further shock, it was actually a Mortal!"

Lucian was not shocked by the revelation. Instead, he was wondering how he could give the Titan Drunken Blood Monkey back to Maximillian. He would rather not deal with a Universe Spirit at this moment in time. He was too weak!

Maximillian continued, "Although it was shocking, we had no choice but to believe in the Divination. Therefore, we gathered our entire clan and pierced a hole through the Planes."

'... There really are Mages more powerful than an Ancestral God.' Lucian confirmed after hearing Maximillian's last sentence. Although he had an inkling that there were even stronger Mages, now he confirmed it. And even more so, there seemed to be another Plane above the Divine Plane.

"What about the Universe Spirit? Was it not suspicious of a sudden hole through multiple Realms?" Lucian voiced out his questions.

Maximillian smirked disdainfully, "Of course not, that thing was and is still too arrogant. It probably thought we were just venting our anger and grief."

Lucian nodded, expecting that to be the case. Though it was also reasonable for the Universe Spirit not to suspect anything, since with its invincible strength, how could a Soul survive once it attacked? Especially, since the Soul belonged to a newborn.
