Chapter 126 Belieth's Identity
Garm began trembling. Belieth's laughter was terrifying.
[It's been so long since this Sovereign has tasted something so delicious!]
[My days of being stuck with this fatty might end soon!] Belieth shouted excitedly when he sensed Mana entering Garm's Mana Core.
That amount of Mana was negligible for a Mana King Ream Mage, but Belieth could not care less. The increase in Garm's Mana had confirmed Lucian's identity.
[Belieth, what is an Alchemy Chef? How can he be so godly?] Garm said as he sensed his Mana Pool had increased. He then lifted the glass up to his lips and chugged the fruity drink. It was absolutely delicious. It was sweet, but not overly sweet. The slight acidity from what he believed to be an orange cut through the sweetness perfectly.
James sat in silence, staring at the three of them with an envious gaze. Even Albert joined him in shooting an envious gaze after witnessing his Master crazily chugging the Berry Blast in one go.
'Is it that good?' Albert thought.
[You aren't wrong to call him godly.] Belieth said after crazily laughing, then continued in a nostalgic tone, [Alchemy Chefs are god-like existences that all chefs in the know aspire to be. Compared to normal chefs who only cook food for nutrition, Alchemy Chefs can maintain the natural Mana within ingredients during the cooking process.
Furthermore, they can even cook food that saves lives and kills lives. There is nothing an Alchemy Chef can't do if they know how to preserve the properties of ingredients.]
[This Sovereign's Mage Rank is all thanks to the number one Alchemy Chef in Hell — Infernal Master Azazel.] Belieth sighed, wondering if Azazel was still alive.
[Now, stop wasting time. Remove your Sword Aura. Let this Sovereign see for himself if it's truly Netherbane Chives.]
[Alright.] Garm did as told, retracting his Sword Aura.
[Netherbane Chives! It's actually Netherbane Chives!] Belieth's voice was trembling, as he looked at the dark red chives, emitting an imperceptible aura of Hell. If not for his familiarity with Hell, he would not have noticed the evil aura.
[Master, what's so special about Netherbane Chives?] Garm respectfully asked while emphasizing the word 'Master'. The prideful Belieth preferred being addressed as Master.
Of course, Belieth understood what he was trying to do; however, after chuckling, he ordered, [Consume the Siren's Melody Poached Egg. This Sovereign can't wait any longer. You'll get your answers later.]n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Garm did not argue. That was exactly what he wanted. Despite wanting to know why Belieth had such an exaggerated reaction to the Netherbane Chives, compared to the rich fragrance entering his nostrils, making his body feel like jelly, he could not care less at this moment.
With each inhale, the aroma seemed to seep deeper into his body, making his thoughts hazy and his muscles relaxed. All his thoughts were focused solely on the culprit of the intoxicating scent.
With a spoon in hand, he scooped up the poached egg and brought it closer to his nose. Inhaling deeply, his body reacted involuntarily, bringing the spoon to his waiting mouth.

Lucian was leaning back in his chair, with one arm behind his head for support, while the other held the Berry Blast. At regular intervals, he calmly sipped the refreshing drink as he watched Garm.
Lucian's lips twitched when he saw Garm's action. 'Is he going to shove the entire poached egg into his mouth?'
Soon, Lucian received his answer.
As the delicately poached egg entered Garm's mouth, an explosion of flavors assaulted his senses. The rich, savory tones of the poached egg were perfectly complemented by the crispy and slightly spicy Netherbane Chives.
Garm's eyes widened in pure delight, and for a moment, he forgot where he was and even Belieth. He could only think about the delicious taste of Siren's Melody Poached Egg.
Compared to his Master, Albert ate with grace, despite feeling the urge to shove the entire poached egg into his mouth.
Since half their Souls were fused, Belieth could sense Garm's overwhelming pleasure after consuming the poached egg. Chuckling, he said, [Now, you should have understood the power of an Alchemy Chef. Lucian has reached a level that chefs can only dream about but not achieve in their lifetime.]
Garm did not react, continuing to savor the delicious aftertaste of the dish.
Belieth did not mind being ignored. He acted as though nothing had happened and explained, [As for the Netherbane Chives, they are exclusively grown in Hell. Before you ate the Siren's Melody Poached Egg, I had many theories as to why someone outside of Hell would have Netherbane Chives. One of them is, he came across a Spatial Ring with them.
After all, the incident from back then had caused many Hell Guards to die. However, the appearance, smell, and taste of the Netherbane Chives point to them being fresh. They are so fresh that I'd be willing to bet my life they were harvested slightly over ten minutes ago.] Toward the end, Belieth's voice began trembling with emotion, breaking Garm from his daze.
[Ehh!?] Garm was shocked but for a different reason. [Does that mean Hell exists?]
[Of course.] Belieth snorted in disdain. [There's no smoke without fire.]
[Does that mean Lucian's from Hell?] Garm asked.
[Of course not. People from Hell can't survive outside Hell. I'm only able to live thanks to our Souls partially being fused. Otherwise, my Soul would have shattered.]
After a moment, Belieth continued thoughtfully, [It could also be he acquired an inheritance from an Alchemy Chef from Hell. Therefore, he learned how to replicate the conditions needed to grow Netherbane Chives.]
The more Belieth spoke, the more he became confident only that could prove why Lucian had Netherbane Chives.
But… deep down, he felt his theory was incorrect. If it was so easy to replicate ingredients from Hell, secret deals between Planar worlds and Hell would not occur. He had even participated in those deals many... many years ago.
[How about I ask him?] Garm asked.
What do you think?
