Chapter 394: Chapter 394: Rampaging Minotaur, Thunder of the City Lord

Chapter 394: Chapter 394: Rampaging Minotaur, Thunder of the City Lord

Sini glared coldly at Storm, her eyes full of hostility.

"What kind of look is that, little girl?" He sensed a hint of animosity from her and asked coldly.

"Hmph!" Sini snorted and suddenly struck.

Boom!

Storm was caught off guard, unable to react in time, and was sent flying across the arena.

He was furious. "I don't hit women, don't push your luck!"

"Don't hit women?" Sini's eyes twitched as she recalled the white-haired woman who had been smashed into a bloody mess by this guy's hammer on the arena.

It was this treacherous bastard who had caused her to lose over a hundred magic cores-and most importantly, that USB drive.

Dark, ethereal energy surged around her as she charged at Storm, unarmed and furious.

"Still coming at me!" Storm was also enraged, his voice cold as he said, "Today, I'll teach you a lesson, you arrogant little brat."

Noticing that Sini had no weapon, he tossed his giant war hammer aside.

Boom!

The ground trembled slightly, showing just how heavy those two hammers were.

The two clashed.

Cand-Dragon felt a wave of worry in his heart, but then he remembered Sini's strength. As a fellow Lord God, she wielded the mysterious and unpredictable powers of the underworld. Even he himself wasn't a match for her, let alone this Minotaur.

Boom! Boom!

The sounds of the battle echoed through the arena as Storm was repeatedly forced back, unable to defend himself.

His pride was wounded, and he angrily shouted, "Little girl, you're taking things too far!"

"Hmph, with your kind of ability, you dare try to hide your true strength in front of me!" Sini scoffed, her attacks growing more ferocious.

Storm was baffled. It seemed he hadn't done anything to offend this woman, so why did she harbor such intense hatred toward him?

Boom!

He was sent flying once again, landing right next to his war hammer.

A glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes as he grabbed the hammer and, feeling his confidence surge, he yelled, "Little girl, if you don't learn your lesson, I won't hold back any longer!"

"With you?" Sini sneered, charging at him again.

"Enough!" Storm roared, no longer caring if Sini had a weapon. He swung both hammers with great force, his battle strength increasing by at least fifty percent.

Whoosh!

The wind howled as Sini, confident in her abilities, still didn't dare to meet his strikes head-

on.

She immediately used John's World-in-Hand to summon the Power of Laws, suppressing Storm. The immense underworld energy coalesced once more, crashing into him.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion echoed, and Sini was pushed back by the sheer force of the attack. "You're still holding back!" she fumed, thinking back to the white-haired woman who had been tricked and killed by this crafty Minotaur.

Buzz!

A gray mist swirled around them, as Sini unleashed all of her underworld power. It followed her like a shadow, wrapping itself around Storm.

"What is this strange ability?" Storm asked with a grave expression, his strength drained, as if an immense force within him was being suppressed.

Boom! Boom!

Sini suddenly appeared in front of him, and with a swift motion, kicked his massive war hammer out of his hands.

Without hesitation, she blurred into motion again, delivering several powerful punches. Her slim fists, despite their size, carried devastating strength as they landed solidly on his body.

"Ouch..." He cried out in pain, utterly defenseless under the pressure of the underworld power and World-in-Hand's suppression. He could only passively take the blows, covering his head and retreating in panic.

"Big sister, no, grandmother, I know I was wrong, please stop hitting me..." He begged repeatedly.

In the blink of an eye, his face was swollen and bruised, his bull-like head now resembling a

pig's.

Only then did Sini feel relieved. She clapped her hands and, in a furious tone, said, "If you ever disrespect me again, I will peel your skin off."

"Yes, yes! I understand!" Storm nodded frantically, his heart filled with fear.

Cand-Dragon, standing aside, watched the scene with his mouth agape. He couldn't help but swallow nervously.

Sini was so hot-tempered...

He grew alert, silently vowing to stay far away from this girl in the future. He definitely didn't want to end up like Storm.

...

The Arena in the Square

The chaos continued in the square, with John quietly waiting among the crowd for the

inspection to conclude.

Soon, the soldiers finished their search, but they still couldn't find Cand-Dragon or Storm.

It was as if the two had vanished into thin air.

The captain's forehead broke into a cold sweat as he grew anxious.

"My lord," one of the soldiers ran up to him, speaking in a low voice, "We've searched thoroughly, but there's no sign of them, nor have we found any suspicious individuals." "Impossible!" The captain snapped, his voice harsh. "The arena has restrictions in place- spatial teleportation skills shouldn't be able to function here. They must still be hiding. Search again."

The soldier hesitated and spoke carefully, "My lord, we've already searched twice and found nothing. Perhaps we should report to the City Lord. If they're still in the city, the City Lord will

surely be able to find them."

Gulp!

The captain couldn't help but swallow nervously. He feared the worst, but he knew that the only course of action now was to ask the City Lord for help.

Clenching his teeth, he ordered, "Seal off this area, and have the soldiers at the city gates keep

watch. I'll go find the City Lord."

With that, he hurried toward the City Lord's manor.

City Lord's Manor

A middle-aged man with golden hair sat solemnly on a high seat, his expression imposing

and his presence commanding even without a word of anger.

He was the Lord of Dragon Ascending City: Thunderstrike!

Xayah stood below him, her head bowed deeply, her voice trembling as she spoke, "Father,

the mission failed. I... I couldn't steal the Primordial Gourd..."

Boom!

Before she could finish, a terrifying aura erupted, and she was blasted off her feet. She slammed into a stone pillar and crashed to the ground, a trickle of blood spilling from the

corner of her mouth.

The surrounding soldiers, witnessing this scene, were filled with terror. They dared not look

sideways or even breathe too loudly.

"I helped you make all the necessary preparations, and now you're telling me you failed?" Thunderstrike's authoritative voice echoed throughout the hall.

Xayah wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, swallowed hard, and hurriedly got up

from the floor. "Father, that Black Snake is incredibly powerful. The drugs didn't work. In/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

barely escaped..."

"Are you making excuses for your failure?" Thunderstrike's tone was cold, cutting her off

again.

He looked at Xayah with no trace of emotion, his words harsh: "You are weak, and now you can't even handle something this small. I am deeply disappointed."

Xayah kept her head lowered, tears welling up in her eyes. She bit her lip, feeling aggrieved. In front of Thunderstrike, she wasn't even considered a useful tool.

She whispered, "Father, the mission failed, but it wasn't without gain. I met a powerful

person, The Overseer, who can take Dragon Ascending City's place in this King Selection."

She had already discussed this matter with John.

"Oh?" Thunderstrike's expression softened slightly, and a hint of interest appeared in his eyes. "You found an Overseer?"

Xayah stole a glance at him, then asked carefully, "Father, would you like to meet him?"

She dared not reveal her connection to John, as it would only bring harm to him.

Thunderstrike nodded, speaking in a neutral tone: "Bring that person here."

"Yes." Xayah responded respectfully and was about to leave when a soldier hurriedly rushed

in.

She recognized the man-it was the captain responsible for guarding the arena. A bad feeling stirred in her heart. Could something have happened at the arena?

"City Lord," the soldier dropped to his knees, his voice trembling. "The Heaven criminal, Cand-Dragon, and Storm... they escaped during their match."

"What!" Thunderstrike roared, a murderous glint flashing in his eyes. He had valued these two, especially Cand-Dragon. He had even planned to have him participate in the King

Selection.

He glared at the captain, his voice icy: "You come to me without catching those two? Are you

seeking death?"

The captain's forehead was covered in cold sweat. He swallowed hard, trembling as he stammered, "Th-They disappeared... they vanished into thin air. Only the City Lord can find

them."

Boom!

A flash of lightning illuminated the room. A giant hand appeared and grasped the captain's neck, lifting him off the ground with ease.

"City Lord, please... please spare me..." The captain could not resist, his voice shaking as he

pleaded.

Thunderstrike coldly stared at him, his mind extending out, sensing everything in the city.

There was no trace of Cand-Dragon or Storm. It truly seemed like they had vanished.

He casually tossed the captain to the ground.

Cough, cough... The captain coughed violently but quickly fell to his knees, bowing low. "Thank you for

sparing my life, City Lord."

Thunderstrike ignored him, instead looking at Xayah, who had yet to leave. He asked, "The Overseer you brought, are they at the arena?"

He had already guessed that only another Overseer could have taken those two without

leaving a trace, undetected by his World-in-Hand.

Moreover, this Overseer's strength was not to be underestimated.

Xayah's heart sank, and she dared not lie. "When I left, that... person was indeed heading

towards the arena."

She nearly let it slip, quickly correcting herself.

"Hmph!" Thunderstrike snorted, then spoke coldly, "Bring him to me immediately."

"Yes." Xayah answered quickly, then turned and left.

She headed straight for the arena.

It was still sealed off, but since she was involved, she had no trouble bringing John out.

"Master, did you kidnap those two Heaven criminals?" She glanced around cautiously, lowering her voice to ask.

"Hm? You found out so quickly?" John was surprised. It seemed the City Lord already knew

about this.

Xayah stopped in her tracks, looking at John. She gritted her teeth and said, "Master, you should leave. My father won't let you go."

John glanced at her and frowned slightly. "Are you injured?"

Xayah froze, unsure of what he meant.

John seemed to realize something, and calmly asked, "Do you want me to avenge you?"

The only one who would dare to hurt her here was likely her father, Thunderstrike, the City

Lord.

Xayah opened her mouth, feeling an unexpected warmth in her heart. She shook her head, "Master, you should leave quickly. I'll find a way to escape and catch up with you."

Her master was powerful, but this was Thunderstrike's World-in-Hand. She didn't think her father would be an easy opponent.

John looked at her, his expression indifferent. "Take me to see your father."

Without waiting for Xayah's response, he gathered Tracy and Spoorate into World-in-Hand.

He had already guessed that Thunderstrike knew he was behind this, and he might take action against him. He was concerned for the safety of the two women.

Without giving Xayah time to respond, he began walking toward the City Lord's Manor.

Xayah hesitated, but after a moment of helpless sighing, she quickly followed John. The two of them made their way directly to the main hall of the City Lord's Manor.
