Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Identity Revealed, The Battle with Mountain Ghost



"A bunch of clowns," Butcher sneered, clearly uninterested in dealing with these people.

John, on the other hand, was intrigued as he watched the cannon barrels extend from the floating city. He could sense a faint Power of Laws emanating from them. It was likely the source of their confidence.

"Hmph, die!" the Governor shouted, and without hesitation, activated the magical cannons. Whirr!

A series of humming sounds filled the air as bright lights flashed. Several magical cannons fired simultaneously, sending dozens of massive orbs of light hurtling toward Mountain Ghost.

These orbs were imbued with powerful Power of Laws, though they were based on the most fundamental elemental law.

Mountain Ghost remained unfazed, his expression calm. With a casual wave, a massive earthen wall rose from the ground, forming a barrier around him like a city wall.

Boom! Boom!

The air was filled with the sound of explosions, and the Power of Laws stirred up a violent wind. However, the earthen wall held firm, easily blocking the magical cannonballs' attacks. "Impressive!" John furrowed his brow. He knew he could block those magical cannonballs as well, but it certainly wouldn't be as effortless as Mountain Ghost made it look. This man's strength seemed to be on par with his at his peak.

And he was only an Eight-Star Awakened One. John couldn't even begin to imagine how powerful a Nine-Star Awakened One would be.

"Hmph, truly stubborn," Mountain Ghost sneered. As the earthen wall before him crumbled, he clenched his fist and slammed it into the floating city.

Boom!

The sound of an explosion rang out, and half of the city was instantly reduced to rubble.

Screams echoed through the air as many people were caught in the blast.

"You monster! How dare you destroy my city!" the Governor yelled, his voice laced with fury. He hurriedly activated the magical cannons on another section of the city, launching several more projectiles.

This time, Mountain Ghost made no attempt to defend himself. Instead, he braced himself and took the full force of the incoming cannonballs.

Boom! Boom!

The cannonballs crashed into him one after another, their impact reverberating through the air. He was only knocked back a few dozen meters, and though his rock-like body showed a few superficial marks, he was otherwise unharmed.

"Is that all you've got? Are you just scratching me?" Mountain Ghost sneered, tightening his fist and preparing to strike again.

Bang!

The remaining half of the floating city was obliterated in a massive explosion, with countless rocks falling from the sky.

Beneath the debris, a large mechanical device was revealed.

The floating city was powered by a mechanical system.

The Governor, too, was sent tumbling from the sky, crashing to the ground in a heap. His face was covered in dirt and ash, and all his previous arrogance had vanished.

Mountain Ghost landed, took a step forward, and immediately squeezed the Governor in his hand. His voice was cold as he spoke, "I'll ask you again. Have you seen a woman named Sini in this city?"

The Governor struggled helplessly, his throat dry with fear. He swallowed hard and quickly said, "A misunderstanding! I didn't destroy this city. I just arrived here, and I've never heard of this woman."

"You didn't destroy it?" Mountain Ghost furrowed his brow, then quickly realized. The Governor clearly didn't have the strength to destroy the city, and they only dared to occupy destroyed cities.

He stared coldly at the Governor and asked, "Do you know who destroyed this city?"

The Governor instinctively shook his head, but then his eyes darted toward the crowd, and he pointed at John. "That human over there, he's the leader of these people. He should know."

"Hmm?" Mountain Ghost turned his attention to John, his eyes widening in shock. "The Heaven enforcer... and there are two of them!"

Then his gaze shifted to Sini, disbelief written all over his face.

Crack!

Mountain Ghost tightened his grip slightly, and with a sickening crunch, he crushed the Governor's neck. He looked down at John and Sini, his expression excited as he spoke softly, "You two little ones, come with us."

With that, he reached out to grab them both.

John and Sini exchanged a glance and acted simultaneously.

The Power of the Nine Nether surged, and sword intent hummed through the air as they both launched their attacks at the giant hand.

Boom!

A tremendous explosion rang out, and the two of them were sent flying backward as though struck by a massive force. Mountain Ghost, however, remained firmly planted in place, completely unshaken.

"John, I feel like if we combine our strength, we could kill this guy," Sini said, having gauged Mountain Ghost's power.

John nodded in agreement, but his gaze remained wary as he kept an eye on the young man standing beside Mountain Ghost.

He could sense that Butcher's strength was even greater, and if this guy decided to intervene, they would stand no chance.

"Heh, you two are even more arrogant than the trash from City of Liberty!" Mountain Ghost sneered. While John and Sini were powerful, they were still far inferior to him.

John didn't respond to the taunts. His gaze swept over the others around him, and an idea formed in his mind.

"Enter World-in-Hand," he instructed his group.

With a thought, John communicated with World-in-Hand and immediately transported Sini, the others, and even Mountain Ghost into it.

Though World-in-Hand wasn't fully stabilized yet, with his ability to Creation and Destruction, John believed it would be more than enough to deal with Mountain Ghost.

"Mm, The Overseer!" Butcher furrowed his brow as he watched John and his group suddenly

disappear.

"The Overseer can even become a The Heaven Enforcer? Interesting. Which world is this human from, to be a The Heaven Enforcer?" Butcher muttered to himself, his cold eyes shifting to the nearby The Heaven Criminals and the powerful figures from City of Liberty. Bloodthirst licked his lips, his bloodlust growing uncontrollably.

World-in-Hand, John and the others suddenly materialized.

"You're actually The Overseer?" Mountain Ghost looked around, his expression surprised but showing no fear. His strength was more than enough to crush John and the others. Even if he were inside their World-in-Hand, he could easily destroy them.

"Hm, The Immortals inheritance!" He noticed the giant sword beside The Tree of Life, his eyes lighting up in realization. "Ha! Now I know which world you're from. No wonder you, as a The Heaven Enforcer, were exiled here."

"You know about The Immortals?" John was stunned, his brows furrowing as he asked, "Are there The Immortals strong ones here too?"

"Heh, die." Mountain Ghost sneered, uninterested in answering. His fist tightened, and he swung it at them with great force.

John's expression grew serious. He and Sini teamed up again, charging toward Mountain

Ghost.

Boom boom...

The air trembled as the space shattered. The entire world quaked violently, as if it could collapse at any moment. John's World-in-Hand had just recently stabilized, but it was still too fragile. He had no choice but to use his divine skill, Creation and Destruction, to stabilize the

space around them.

Mountain Ghost's attack was similar to the one from the Rock Giant John had encountered earlier. It was a pure display of raw power, with no technique involved. Even with the law force from World-in-Hand suppressing him, John and Sini were still outmatched, constantly being forced back by the powerful strikes.

"Damn it!" John cursed inwardly, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. The power of the Lich inside him surged, Chaos Force gathered, and a terrifying aura spread through the

air.

"Heaven and Earth Transformation!" He shouted furiously, and the surrounding winds howled as he instantly transformed into a towering giant, hundreds of feet tall.

"Die!" He clenched both fists, his pure physical strength meeting Mountain Ghost's with a

mighty clash.

Boom boom...

The two of them collided in a battle of pure strength. In his Heaven and Earth Transformation state, John's attributes were increased by two hundred times, bringing him on par with Mountain Ghost. However, he was still at a disadvantage. World-in-Hand simply couldn't withstand the terrifying power of both combatants. Each time their fists met, massive chunks of space shattered. John was forced to defend against Mountain Ghost's attacks while using Creation and Destruction to repair the cracks in World-in-

Hand.

Fortunately, Sini kept up a constant assault with Power of the Nine Nether, distracting and harassing Mountain Ghost.

The two were locked in an intense struggle, neither able to gain the upper hand.

In the distance, Debbie and the others hid beneath The Tree of Life, watching the battle unfold

with anxiety and fear.

The strength of the three combatants was terrifying. If any of them were caught in the

crossfire of their battle, they would either be killed or gravely injured.

Among them, Spoorate was the only one who looked excited. His eyes were fixed on John, and

He had already figured out where John came from, and now he felt there was no more value in

him.

"Watch out!" Sini shouted in urgency, fully activating Power of the Nine Nether. She gathered sharp blades of energy, attempting to Assassinate Mountain Ghost.

Clang! Clang!

Mountain Ghost's body, as tough as rock, withstood every blow. Even the soul attack had

almost no effect. "Dragon Transformation!" John roared in fury. A mighty dragon's roar echoed across the heavens as he instantly transformed into a massive golden dragon, nearly filling the entire World-in-Hand. His attributes were amplified fifty times.

"Kid, you really surprise me!" Mountain Ghost was taken aback, but his excitement only grew.

Whoosh!

The surrounding earth elemental law condensed as Mountain Ghost's body also expanded

several times, and he clashed with John, now in his dragon form.

Boom boom...

The space shattered as the terrifying energies collided.

Sini, unable to do much, was forced to dodge the attacks from both sides.

As time passed, John's World-in-Hand began to crumble, its stability on the verge of collapse.

What scared him the most was that the power of the Lich within him was being rapidly

consumed, and it wouldn't be long before it could no longer support him.

He had greatly underestimated Mountain Ghost's strength. "Human, it's over!" Mountain Ghost noticed John's weakening power and condensed the

earth elemental law into a massive war hammer, intensifying his attacks.

John's tough scales shattered, blood splattered, and he was sent flying once more.

"Nine Nether Cage!" Sini shouted, conjuring a massive Power of the Nine Nether cage, hoping to

trap Mountain Ghost.

Crack!

In an instant, Mountain Ghost shattered the cage effortlessly and ignored Sini altogether. His giant hammer continued to swing relentlessly toward John.

"Diamond Body Protection!" John sensed the impending danger and activated his defensive technique, enveloping himself in a golden aura that boosted his defense a hundredfold.

Bang!

The war hammer crashed down, and the golden light was instantly shattered. John was struck

again, suffering another devastating blow.

"Nine Heavens Sword!" Ignoring his injuries and the rapidly depleting energy, John controlled

the Immortal Sword. A massive sword beam cut through the heavens, descending with

unimaginable force.

Boom!

The war hammer was shattered, and the sword beam struck Mountain Ghost, causing blood to

drip from his body. For the first time, he was injured.
