Chapter 2153 The Dashavatara (Kalki, Parashurama) -Part 21
As the two Dashavatara entered the Royal Throne Hall, defeating the remaining Rifles Mages that were guarding the area, they were greeted with more guns pointing at them at various vantage points.
More importantly, the remaining nine Commando Mages were also within the vicinity of the Throne Hall. Jin could have allowed them to move and kill the enemies outside but had decided to hold the Commando Mages back instead.
That was why all of them already had their trigger half squeezed. Depending on the situation, they would fire first and speak later but right now, the two Dashavatara were already fuming from the loss of their brother Celestials. Perhaps, that course of action might prove to be a better way to move rather than what their King had in mind.
"I apologise for the unruly behaviour of my soldiers. They have to do this in order to protect me even though I insisted that what they were doing was nothing more than a discourtesy to our guests."
"Your Majesty, the discourtesy is them barging into our kingdom and demanding that we die without any reason or whatsoever. It is in turn that we give them the same treatment." One of the Commando Mages spoke out and it was none other than No.8, the current incumbent Commando Mage Team Leader who had been promoted recently after the death of No.4.
"You are not wrong, my fellow comrade. But since they had yet to brandish their weapons in front of us, I can see that there might be some room for discussion."
"The only discussion that we have is how to cut your head down from that chair," Parashurama yelled but Kalki prevented him from moving forward any further. Instead, she did the insane thing of putting her weapon back into her scabbard and walked towards the King unarmed.
Half of the Rifle Mages continued to shift their barrels to suit Kalki's pacing while the remaining half still had their sights on Parashurama.
"What the fuck are you doing? Aren't you a warrior with future sight? Why are you not taking your weapon out to kill?!" Parashurama yelled as he slammed his axe downwards but still did not move a single inch because of the command that Kalki had given him. While it was the first time the Rifle Mages saw this, the fact is that within the Dashavatara, Parashurama was known not to control his anger.
The only times that he obeyed was because of Kalki and only her. She was the sole person in the group that was able to best him mainly because of the godly ability of her clairvoyance. And therefore, no matter how many thousand times he had duelled with her, she was able to defeat him again and again and again.
It was to the point, Parashurama had decided that she was the superior one and followed her every order to the dot.
However, the problem with her future sight was that Kalki had to look at the opponent in order to see the future. That was why Parashurama believed that Kalki saw something different than what she had expected and thus sheathed her weapon. All he hoped was that she knew what she was doing.
"I see, to see one of the many Goddess of Wars from the Hindu Gods is surely an eye opener. And to top it off, it's the almightly Kalki. This humble one would like to extend his welcome to you." The moment Jin put his hand on his chest and bowed from his seat, a simultaneous command was given to portray compromise from his end as well.
The half of the Rifle Mages within the Throne Hall had released their barrels away from her. Some shifted their rifle barrels towards Parashurama instead while the others merely moved their rifles a few centimetres away from the Goddess that Jin was talking to.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"If you know that the Hindus worshipped me, then this one should know what my power is, no?" Kalki said as she folded her arms and proceeded to stare at Jin. Many in the room would have considered this as disrespect to the King but Jin did not mind.
"More or less, I remembered something along the lines of killing your foes even before they could react." Jin was bluffing as he had no idea what her powers were. He knew who Kalki was but had no extensive knowledge of her deeds and powers. He merely gave a broad statement to appease the Celestial right in front of him.
Yet, what he did not know was that as broad that statement was, it had already implied to the Celestials that he was in the know of her strength and powers. He was merely on the discretionary side. Whether they take it as he knew things about her would be up to their doubtful minds to fulfil it.
But Kalki was different because she knew the possibilities of happening and decided to spend more time analysing Jin and understanding him so that the future sight cast upon him would be fairly more accurate.
"What do you want in order to surrender?"
"Is this a negotiation? I thought this would be an all kill kind of situation?" Jin smiled as he tilted his head to the side and placed his chin on his palm. His hand acted as support, pretending to be interested in the conversation.
"Kalki, why did you even open up the negotiation with him? What weakness do we have that they -"
"They will kill us all," Kalki said in retaliation. "They will finish what we started and proceed to systematically hunt all of us down. Do not ever think that their troops are the only thing that are stopping us." Kalki shouted back, making Parashurama silent for a moment.
"So you are able to look into the future...?" Jin ended the question slowly and Kalki immediately returned her gaze back at the King of Ress.
"And I see no way out of this scenario no matter how we twist and turn. The fact that you had blocked our escape route had made us your prey instead of us being the hunters."
"Glad to know that there is someone who can see the bigger picture." Jin smiled slowly and he nodded his head.
"Yeah, no. We won't surrender. Come down from your high horse and negotiate properly or die trying." Jin now leaned forward and told Kalki while looking straight in her eyes.
"What do you want exactly?" Kalki asked and that was the opening Jin needed to ensure things were moving his way.
