Chapter 2147 The Dashavatara (Rama, Kurma) -Part 15

The Demon Sea Octopus' tentacles rosed up into the open seas and started to grab the unwitting Kurma who was too focused on managing the Giant War Tortoises. The sea serpents like tentacles simultaneously took hold of the four legs and attempted to pull him into the sea.

Of course, when Kurma noticed it, he did not worry about anything at all. He was nicknamed the Immovable Foundation by his fellow Celestials and with reason. But what he did not know or not noticed was that the Demon Sea Octopus had fully assimilated the strength of the forbidden magic that the previous Rifle Mages had performed to keep the initial wave at bay.

And that means the Demon Sea Octopus had some grasp of the void powers all those cosmic horrors he merged with while being nourished by the fishmen's celestial energy that he had killed. Add this to the demonic powers that he originally had and the training that Kraft had given him previously, the Demon Sea Octopus could potentially be one of the strongest Celestial Slayers because of his potency.

But its hastiness and desire to try his new found fusion of powers could potentially be his weakness. Yet, despite the risk, the desire to kill a Celestial Avatar was no doubt in his hands and he was willing to try it regardless of the danger that he might die.

After all, if he truly could defeat a Celestial Avatar, the ability to absorb its powers would be truly immense and he might be able to ascend to a Higher Demon as well.

At that point, all the probable benefits outweighed the dangers that came with it and the Demon Sea Octopus attempted to drag the Immovable Fountain into the sea where the Demon Sea Octopus had the advantage of the terrain. However, what he did not know was that Rama, the 'Ideal Hero' was right beside Kurma.

While Kurma did not give two hoots about the Sea Demon Octopus and continued to focus his energies on making sure the Giant War Tortoises could wreck the defensive lines of Lyro's Sea Fortress, Rama was not able to forgive the Demon for even touching Kurma. He once again took his personal unique bow and in quick succession, shot celestial energised arrows into the Sea Serpents.

Seeing how the Kodanda Bow had the unique trait of never missing its mark, it seared the Sea Serpent tentacles causing great pain to the Sea Demon Octopus. Still, because now that the Sea Demon Octopus was a mixed breed rather than a pure demon, the pain emanating from the celestial energy was not as intense as it would have been.

Thus, the Sea Demon Octopus changed his target and went for Rama instead while ignoring the Giant Tortoise once more. All of the Sea Serpent Tentacles turned their heads and went towards Rama with great ferocity. Unfortunately for the Sea Demon Octopus, this was a choice that he made poorly.

Should he continue to focus against Kurma, he might be able to bring now an Avatar who was exhausted from fighting extensively on the Lyro frontline.

Rama's arrows were true to their target no matter how he shot and it repeatedly destroyed the tens of tentacles that the Demon Sea Octopus was able to sprout. And despite its attempts to shoot down the 'Ideal Hero' from the top of Kurma, it was failing very badly. The Demon Sea Octopus felt that there was no way for it to win and wanted to retreat away but Rama did not give it any quarters to do so.

Those arrows that were left on the bodies of the tentacles were eventually being pulled towards Rama and thus so was the entire massive body of the Demon Sea Octopus.

Rama used his celestial strength to pull it upwards, relying on Kurma's barrier as the sole protection against incoming attacks as he tore the Demon Sea Octopus out of the water and into the sky. As much as the Rifle Mages were skilled in focusing on their targets, each of them took a split second to see how the Demon Sea Octopus was being flung high up in the sky.

That was where Rama had decidedly pulled off his stronger and more powerful celestial arrows and shot toward the seemingly floating Demon Sea Octopus.

Just as Rama believed that he was able to defeat and eliminate one of the threats of the Lyro's Frontline, he suddenly noticed that there was something…or things diving towards Rama faster than the fall of the Demon Sea Octopus through the use of gravity.

Those shadowy things were simultaneously pulled out a magical portal at their side and it was only through a second worth of realisation that Rama understood that those portals were in the way of the Celestial Arrows he had shot. If those arrows were that strong and capable of killing the Demon Sea Octopus, they should be equally powerful enough to do damage to his own comrades too, right?

And for the fact that it was able to slip through the multiple barriers that Kurma was able to conjure, then there should be no problem returning such arrows to the Celestial Avatars too, right?

Hence, those magical portals that swallowed the Celestial Arrows instantly appeared at the very front of Kurma, ignoring all the barriers that he had conjured and pierced the Celestial Tortoise right into its head.

As true as the arrows were, they indeed went through (no pun intended) the brain and face of Kurma, rendering him near dead. This caused the barriers to dispel almost immediately and the remaining barrage from Lyro after the aftermath that Rama had caused was more than sufficient to finish the Immovable Foundation.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

The Anti Celestial Shells finally smashed into Kurma, giving it the final blow that was needed to bring this stalwart guardian down.

Rama could not believe it and wanted to call Siddhartha Buddha to save his friend but there was something more sinister diving right through him.
