Novel's Extra: I Awakened The Strongest Physique From The Start

CHAPTER 38 - The Colosseum.

The third-year students lived in the third largest peak of Originveil Academy, and although the academic year had just passed with the third-year students passing the tests and entering the new level, the students had still not adjusted to the peak's environment.

The mana density and purity of every next peak students progress to are higher than the ones before, making it hard for them to just start living there without any care of anything.

It would've been fine if they were going to live there for some days, as the high concentration of mana would feel heavenly to them, but it won't be good for them in the long run, so the students had to meditate and cycle the mana in their bodies for at least a week to get used to it.

During that week, these students rarely come out of their abodes provided by the academy, staying seated in a spot, meditating, and only coming out to eat and train for a bit. That was the reason why the ranking matches of the second, third, and fourth years were always conducted late.

But not all students were the same. There were always some exceptions—some students who weren't affected by the change in mana at all.

These students, with nothing to do as their classes are paused as well, volunteer to be the referee of the election competition of the newly admitted first-year students.

This time, however, it was different from every other time because a person who never showed interest in such things put up his name for the referee position.

That student's name was Alex Drakathor, and although he was a student, he was estimated to be more powerful than most first-year teachers. But it was just an estimation. No one knew how strong he really was.

The first-year teachers were not really that strong, with their power being seven-star, star formation level at most.

Right now, the students, all excited to see the matches, were rushing toward the central peak of the academy—the entertainment peak. There was a colosseum there, which was used for functions such as these.

Some challenges among the students, students against teachers, or teachers against teachers were all conducted here as well. The only difference is the number of audiences.

In the colosseum, where the students were gathering, only one thing kept repeating in the announcement at this moment: "Alex Drakathor, please come to the stage!"

But no one came up the stage, rendering the announcer, who was a girl with purple hair, speechless. She knew Alex, and from what she knew, she was sure that he was sleeping right now. That was all he did in his free time anyway.

"Hah..."

With a sigh of defeat, she spoke up again.

"Due to the absence of the allotted referee, I will be hosting the matches; please take care of me!"

She beamed, passing a cute smile toward the male audience, quite different from the expression she had a second ago, but it was not surprising as she was quite an expert at manipulating her expressions.

"Lilia! Lilia! Lilia!"

Soon, roars of cheers rang out from the boys' side, and although the girls seemed dissatisfied, with some of them booing as well, the boys' enthusiasm was enough to cover it up.

The man in question, on the other hand, was right now lying in the garden next to his abode on the third peak of the Originveil Academy, surrounded by three beasts, one of which was a flaming horse, and Alex had his back resting on this horse's fiery fur, which didn't seem to be doing him any harm.

All of them seemed to be sleeping, and all of the beasts—a horse, a lion, and a leopard—were surrounding Alex as if guarding him even while sleeping.

Alex, who seemed way more mature than at the time of his awakening—two years ago—had his height increased, reaching 195 centimeters; his muscles grew as well, looking more prominent now. His hair was cut short and unkept, giving him a wild look, which was only enhanced due to the beasts in the surroundings.

That was not all though; there was this small, cute-looking owl-like beast resting on his chest, sleeping peacefully like the rest of them.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Their peace, however, didn't last for long as soon...

*Tap-Tap-Tap*...

A series of hurried footsteps were heard, and James, who had grown longer as well, reaching the height of 188 centimeters, came into view.

His black hair was tied in a man-bun, and his grey eyes filled with panic as he just received a call from one of Alex's friends, saying that Alex was getting late for the election competition of the first-year students, making him rush out of the mansion Alex was given by the academy, arriving at the garden.

"Master! Wake up. You are getting late—"

Moving closer to Alex, James exclaimed, trying to wake the guy up, but just as he was around 10 meters away from the beasts and their master, his words paused, and so did his body.

"—Ghhh!"

'Fuck! Not again!'

His body was pushed toward the ground in just a second, making him lie flat, unable to move. He, for the umpteenth time, had stepped into this zone that Alex kept around him, multiplying the gravity of the surroundings wherever he slept as a safety precaution.

"Hm...?"

Fortunately for James, Alex was woken up by the sudden noise, making his eyes flutter open, revealing his electric blue orbs hidden within them, clearer than ever.

"Oh? It was just you?"

His eyes then turned toward James, who, with his head pressed on the ground just like his body, couldn't even turn to look at Alex.

"Fweee weee..." (Free me...)

After waiting for a while and not being able to feel the weight in his body decreasing, James couldn't help but feel annoyed, voicing out those words with great difficulty, and although they were not clear, they were understandable.

Alex was always like this. No matter how sharp he was and no matter how good his comprehensive power was, he tended to forget basic things like this, which no one would be able to ignore.

"Oh, my bad."

It was then that Alex noticed James's dilemma, hurriedly snapping his finger and freeing the guy from the gravitational pressure, letting him have a breath of relief.

James, after staring at Alex for a while, took a deep breath, closing his eyes, before he spoke up, getting to the main topic, making Alex, who was trying not to look into the guy's eyes, widen his eyes.

"Master, you are late for the election ceremony."

"Oh, shit!" Gasped Alex, surprised and shocked at how he had forgotten such an important thing, the moment he heard James's words, jumping up on his feet.

"Hey guys! I'm going ahead; you guys train all you want!"

He was about to rush forward, wanting to hurry to the Colosseum, when he heard a sharp whistling sound, "Wheeeee!!"

He turned to look behind, only to see the owl that was lying on his chest a second ago, now standing on the ground; its size increased to two meters, and its features turned from cute to sharp.

It lowered its wings, covered with black fur and white star symbols just like its whole body, making Alex raise a brow in surprise.

"You want to bring me there? Sure! That would be faster."

But the next second he nodded his head and jumped on the back of the owl, who took off the moment it felt Alex's weight, zooming toward the central peak where the election competition was going on.

"Hah... just how does his scheming mind forget these minor things?" James, left behind, looking at them disappearing in the distance, couldn't help but sigh.

The colosseum, on the other hand, was still filled with cheers of Lilia as the boys kept screaming her name with utmost enthusiasm, making the girl smile proudly, knowing that her charm hadn't decreased at all, but suddenly, the guys' voice paused, making her frown, but soon, she realized the reason for it as all of the girls in the stadium shouted in unison.

"ALEX!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Excitement and love were clear in their voice, making Lilia sigh, turning her head to look up...

*Flap**Flap*...

And there he was, the reason for her ever doubting her beauty, the prince of every girl's dream, the rising star of the humans' side, and the only guy capable of moving her heart, Alex Drakathor, staring down at her with his signature grin, standing on top of his oh-so-precious new pet.

"Hey there, Lilia," he said, making her smile, as no matter how annoying he was, she couldn't deny that it was just another aspect of his charm—a way to make people smile without even realizing it.
