Chapter 5578: Brother, Save Me!
BANG!n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
The brick struck like a bolt of lightning, smashing into the heads of the leaders. At the same time, the freshly killed tiger disappeared into Long Chen’s primal chaos space.
“Courting death!”
The three people who had been sneak attacked were all five-vein Heaven Saints. As they had shared the impact, they weren’t heavily injured and could counter attack at once.
“That’s fast!” Long Chen exclaimed, startled.
Long Chen’s eyes narrowed as he looked at their flawless coordination. Space twisted violently as the trio unleashed their divine weapons, each strike infused with the overwhelming power of five-vein Heaven Saints. The combined force bore down on Long Chen so fast that he couldn’t use the Heaven Flipping Seal’s power to avoid it.
BOOM!
Long Chen summoned a lightning shield, but the collision sent him flying backward, a grunt escaping his lips from the sheer force.
“Big brother Long Chen, let me help you!” Huo Linger’s voice rang out in his mind.
“No need. Focus on the Golden Crows and Jade Rabbits. I can deal with them,” responded Long Chen.At this moment, Huo Linger couldn’t be distracted. The Golden Crows had reached a critical juncture, and she couldn’t leave their side.
As for the Jade Rabbits, their spirituality had yet to awaken, leaving them incapable of reaching their full potential without Huo Linger’s nurturing. She was using her own Spiritual Strength to nourish them, and that was extremely draining.
The Earth Cauldron, the Demon Moon Cauldron, Evilmoon, and the Heaven Flipping Seal were all in a deep slumber, while Huo Linger had many tasks. The only one capable of helping Long Chen at this moment was Lei Linger.
Lei Linger was also rapidly growing thanks to the influx of powerful corpses in the primal chaos space. As a result, she’d be able to hold her own against a five-vein Heaven Saint.
However, even she couldn’t endure the combined assault of three five-vein Heaven Saints. Nevertheless, her intervention had blunted the majority of the attack, allowing Long Chen to escape unscathed.
After that, Long Chen tried to activate the Heaven Flipping Seal’s spatial power. But… nothing happened.
Shit, Little Heaven has entered a critical juncture!
The Earth Cauldron had told him that Little Heaven required an enormous amount of energy to complete its upgrade. Disturbing it now would undo all its progress. Sighing, Long Chen had no choice but to send the Heaven Flipping Seal back into the primal chaos space and drew a broadsword he’d found among his spoils.
BOOM!
The broadsword clashed against an incoming attack, shattering on impact. Using the resulting explosion as propulsion, Long Chen rocketed away like a shooting star.
Long Chen circulated his astral energy to block some of the impact, but the power of the five-vein Heaven Saints was too great. Blood surged in his throat, but he swallowed it back.
As Long Chen fled, he noticed that his opponents’ heaven veins were constantly growing stronger. Their Doyen power was also undergoing a qualitative transformation.
They could not be judged according to the standards of heaven veins in the outside world. They were in entirely different dimensions.
“This is bad!” exclaimed Long Chen.
Long Chen’s anxiety spiked. These people didn’t just have more heaven veins—they were constantly evolving.
The Heaven Vein Mystic Realm was constantly nourishing their heaven veins. At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before Long Chen had to go all out even against a three-vein Heaven Saint. Ɽ
Long Chen clenched his fists in frustration. He also wanted to condense his own heaven veins, but the Earth Cauldron still hadn’t awakened, and the Dragon Sovereign remained silent. Long Chen knew it wasn’t time yet, but the situation demanded otherwise.
“Stop right there!” shouted an expert.
An entire group of experts was chasing Long Chen furiously, looking like they wanted to tear him apart with their teeth.
Without Little Heaven’s spatial abilities, Long Chen could only rely on his own power to flee. He was quick, but so were his pursuers. No matter how fast he moved, he couldn’t shake them off.
“This is troublesome,” muttered Long Chen.
As Long Chen pushed himself harder, he finally noticed the subtle changes in the laws of heaven and earth. He had been so reliant on Little Heaven’s abilities that he hadn’t sensed them earlier.
Now, the air felt heavy, like a mire of friction. Heavenly Dao runes swirled around him, dragging his steps and severely hampering his speed. Meanwhile, the heaven veins of his pursuers granted them an unnatural advantage, propelling them faster and faster. The speed that Long Chen had always been proud of actually gave him no advantage.
“Damn one-eyed bastard, you finally show yourself! Die!” shouted an expert from afar.
Suddenly, Long Chen spotted another group blocking his path. Recognizing their faces, he instantly understood—they were the victims he had robbed earlier.
Their eyes burned with fury as they swarmed toward him, their weapons gleaming with murderous intent. Without hesitation, Long Chen picked another direction and fled.
It didn’t take long for yet another group to emerge in Long Chen’s path. Their distinctive robes triggered his sense of danger, and he shifted direction once more, cursing under his breath.
“It’s that bastard! Stop right there!” the newcomers shouted with unrestrained anger, instantly joining the chase.
“Fuck! Am I cursed? Is everyone around here someone I’ve scammed?” Long Chen muttered in disbelief.
For an entire day, Long Chen fled, and an ever-growing mass of furious experts chased him. By the time dusk fell, dozens of factions were chasing him. Tens of millions of experts from various races—humans, the Blood race, the demon race, and those he couldn’t even identify—joined the hunt.
When Long Chen glanced back, his heart skipped a beat at the sight of the monstrous army. Over a hundred five-vein Heaven Saints were among them, their eyes bloodshot with rage. They bared their teeth like rabid beasts, ready to devour him alive.
If they caught up to him, Long Chen knew he’d be doomed. Every single one of them had been robbed by him, and their hatred ran bone-deep. There was no way they’d let him off.
Long Chen racked his brain for a solution, but nothing came to mind. His only hope was to wait for the Earth Cauldron and the others to awaken. He attempted to use the Heaven Flipping Seal again, but swirling runes encased it. It was clearly not in the right state to be disturbed, or all its previous efforts would be for naught.
The same was true for the Earth Cauldron, Evilmoon, and the Demon Moon Cauldron. All of Long Chen’s trump cards were out of commission, leaving him with no choice but to keep stalling and hope his pursuers would lose patience and give up.
But after an entire day of relentless pursuit, the number of his enemies hadn’t decreased. Instead, dozens of factions had joined the chase.
Long Chen was starting to sweat. For the first time, he felt like a rat scurrying through a crowded marketplace. Fortunately, Lei Linger was amazing. Her lightning wings constantly got stronger, and his speed steadily increased. Gradually, he started to widen the gap between himself and the furious mob.
Long Chen calculated that he’d need another day to finally shake them off—assuming everything went smoothly. But with his luck, he couldn’t afford to rule out the possibility of running into yet another blockade.
As Long Chen rushed forward, a black dot appeared on the horizon, rapidly approaching. When Long Chen recognized the figure, he was overjoyed.
“Mo Nian!”
Of all people, Long Chen hadn’t expected to bump into Mo Nian here. Mo Nian also spotted Long Chen, and their faces lit up simultaneously.
Both of them shouted at the top of their lungs: “Brother, save me!”
The words echoed, and both their expressions froze. They quickly noticed the mobs of furious experts chasing after each of them and instinctively sensed each other’s cultivation bases.
“What the fuck?!”
