Chapter 1265 The Cursed One Title (Part 3)
In the Azragoth World, Nythor had told Evan that during the Primordial War, Azroth destroyed the Universal Tree, shattering the Origin Universe.
Although the Origin Universe shattered after Anastasia received the title of Progenitor of the Shadow Dragons—a few thousand years after the death of the first Progenitor of the Dragons—Evan couldn't rule out the possibility that the war in which the first Progenitor of the Dragons perished was the same war fought between Azroth and the other Primordials.
'If the first Progenitor of the Dragons died in that war, then it means this war must have lasted thousands of years and only ended when Azroth finally destroyed the Universal Tree,' Evan thought inwardly.
However, he decided to stop dwelling on it as the death of the first Progenitor of the Dragons had nothing to do with him.
'Even if my guess is correct, that guy's death is related to Azroth, not me. Why should I burn my brain thinking about someone else's problem?'
Despite this reasoning, Evan couldn't help but feel exasperated. Whenever he came across information related to large-scale destruction, the deaths of significant figures, or catastrophic events, the culprit always turned out to be Azroth.
Resolving to set these matters aside for the moment, he shifted his focus back to Anastasia.
"Do you know how many Progenitors there are in the Origin Universe?" He asked. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
He recalled that in the Blood Dungeon, the black figure had told him that in order to awaken his bloodline, he needed to reach the top of the Bloodline Inheritance Steps. These steps contained the bloodlines of billions of different races, with each step representing a distinct race.
'If I base my guess on the Bloodline Inheritance Steps, which contain the bloodlines of billions of races, does that mean there are billions of Progenitors—one for each race?' He wondered.
When Anastasia heard Evan's question, she shook her head as if she could guess what he was thinking.
"The number of Progenitors is limited," She explained. "Just as there can't be more than five Monarchs in Utopia, the number of Progenitors is also fixed. There can only be one hundred Progenitors in the Universe at any given time."
Evan raised an eyebrow at this but wasn't particularly surprised. Based on what he already knew, the status of Progenitors was only slightly below that of the Primordials so it was natural that their numbers were limited.
There had been a total of five Primordials, including Azroth, but now only four remained.
'If there were billions of Progenitors in the Universe, they might have wiped out the Primordials long ago,' He mused.
"Including you and Mythernor, there are currently two Progenitors in Utopia. Does that mean there are ninety-eight Progenitors in the Origin Universe?" He asked Anastasia.
"It should be," Anastasia replied with a nod. "Of course, if a Progenitor fell in the past few thousand years and no new one has been born to replace them, the number might be different."
Evan nodded at her explanation and shifted his attention to another topic.
"What about the Monarchs? Are there more Monarchs in the Origin Universe as well?"
"There aren't many memories related to the Monarchs in my bloodline," Anastasia said. "But from what I do know, their situation is similar to the Progenitors. There can only be one hundred Monarchs at a time."
She paused briefly before adding, "Although my memories about them are limited, I can tell that their status is nearly equivalent to that of the Progenitors."
"Hmmm… Five Primordials, one hundred Progenitors, and one hundred Monarchs," Evan muttered while rubbing his chin.
'There are five Monarchs in Utopia, so the remaining ninety-five should be in the Origin Universe,' He thought.
Evan didn't consider himself part of the category of Monarchs because his core had long since evolved into the Primordial Monarch Core—a core possessed only by the Primordials.
'If I go to the Origin Universe now, I will definitely be strangled to death by those powerful figures. Not to mention, they must all be at the peak of their powers. Considering Azroth's actions, there are bound to be many Progenitors and Monarchs similar to the Primordials who hate him to the core and would try to kill me the moment they see me…' Evan thought, his lips twitching and his resolve to only go to the Origin Universe after significantly increasing his power further solidified.
"By the way," He asked Anastasia, "The number of Monarchs that can appear in Utopia at a time is five. Is that a fixed limit? I mean, since there can be one hundred Monarchs in total, is it possible for more Monarchs to be born in Utopia?"
He elaborated, "For example, if one of the ninety-five Monarchs living in the Origin Universe dies, could a new Monarch be born in Utopia to replace them?"
Anastasia was taken aback by his question. She thought about it deeply, searching through the memories provided by her bloodline. However, even after a thorough search, she couldn't find any relevant information, so she shook her head.
"I am not sure," She admitted. "But if you ask me, I think the number of Monarchs in Utopia cannot exceed five."
Evan raised an eyebrow at her response and asked, "Why do you think so?"
Anastasia shook her head again. "It's just a feeling. I am not one hundred percent sure."
"I see…" Evan replied, nodding. He didn't dismiss her guess, as there must have been some basis for her belief.
'Well, if I want to know more about it, I can always go back to the Forbidden Land in the future and look for the Will of Utopia,' He thought.
While Evan was lost in his thoughts, Anastasia suddenly remembered something and asked him softly.
"By the way, have you found any information about your Cursed One title? One of the reasons you went to the Forbidden Land was to get information about it from the Will of Utopia, wasn't it?"
Evan snapped back upon hearing her question and turned to look at her.
"Well, although I didn't meet the Will of Utopia, I have basically figured out its effects," He said
