Chapter 672: First Session
Chapter 672: First Session
Early in the morning, Hiro arrived at the training ground. Standing outside the venue, Hiro glanced at the gigantic entrance before him.
Even though the sky was dimly lit by the soothing rays of the morning sun, the air was crisp and cold. White vapor oozed out of his mouth every time he opened his mouth.
"Isn't it rather quiet?"
Hiro was baffled by the eerie silence around him. He had been expecting to hear some noise. However, it was relatively quiet.
Blowing some air in his palm, Hiro rubbed his palm, "I guess I arrived early."
Though the upgrade had yet to be completed, Hiro wasn't as nervous about the training as before. He knew that he would be able to put up a decent performance even though he couldn't access the system.
The training facility wasn't far from where he had been staying. So, it didn't take him long to get here. However, he still felt the urge to learn to drive.
Just like today, he couldn't commute via taxi every time. Even though it was convenient he ought to learn how to drive.
Though he had driven before in his previous life, he hadn't once in this life.
So, Hiro couldn't help but worry if his skills had gotten rusty. If his skills had indeed gotten rusty then he'd have to spend a considerable amount of time to learn again.
"Well, anyway, I think I should get my driving license as soon as possible," Hiro concluded after pondering the matter for a while.
On his way inside, Hiro noticed a rather old-looking man. He was dressed in a black coat and had worn a woolen cap.
"Good morning, Mr. Garcia," Hiro greeted the old man.
Having chatted with him before, Hiro was familiar with the old man. This old man was one of the staff working here.
Yawning, the old man adjusted his sight before addressing Hiro, "Good morning, Hiro. You've arrived quite early. I mean, the others haven't even arrived yet."
No wonder, it was so silent here. It appears that he was the first one to arrive. Well, he did leave for the training an hour earlier.
Hearing him, Hiro felt a bit awkward, "Hahaha, I must have been too excited."
After conversing for a while, Hiro left. On his way, he greeted the other staff. Since he was new here, he thought it'd be polite to greet the people here. He didn't want to seem rude and unapproachable.
"Seems like, I'll have to start with some warmups," Hiro glanced at the pitch before him.
A part of the pitch was warmly lit by the gentle rays of the morning sun while another part was cast in shadows. The grass on the pitch had been trimmed and the pitch was in an excellent condition. Hiro could see some moisture on the grass.
Most probably, the pitch had been watered some moment ago.
Tightening his laces, Hiro then started his warmup with a light lap around the field. As he jogged around the field, he felt his heart pumping, and his body warming up.
When he arrived here after getting dressed, he couldn't help but feel cold.
'I wonder who'd be the one to show up after me,' Hiro couldn't help but think about the next person to show up at the training.
Hiro didn't know much about other players here. So, he hoped to meet someone amicable. Time passed while he trained alone. Completely immersed in his training, Hiro didn't keep track of the passing time. Neither was he bothered about people arriving on the pitch.
'I didn't think that the impact would be this huge,' Hiro couldn't help but feel disappointed. He could feel a significant drop in his ability.
Yet still, he couldn't bring himself to admit defeat. From the twenty freekicks he had taken from different positions, he had missed 9 of them.
From this alone, he could tell that he was doing terribly.
This drastic change irritated him. At the same time, it fueled his competitive spirit. He felt a need to challenge himself and thus he started making the challenges even more difficult.
By forcing him to make hard shots, he had almost forgotten that he was in the middle of training, and he had to take things lightly.
While he was practicing, a few individuals arrived on the pitch. On their way to the pitch, these individuals were chatting cheerfully.
Suddenly one of them heard the sound of movement coming from the pitch.
Surprised, Federico exclaimed, "Did somebody arrive early today?"
Luka, a rather tall individual with broad shoulders and blond hair looked at Federico, "There's still 30 minutes left for the training to begin. And as much as I can tell, there isn't anyone in the team who'd arrive this early beside us."
Federico, a twenty-two-year-old midfielder from Italy was a relatively tall guy with a lean physique and short tousled dark brown hair. He had a chiseled face, sapphire-like eyes embedded deep inside his socket, and rather thick eyebrows.
Though he wasn't considered a starting player on the team, he was an important rotational player. And Federico wanted to change that role.
Versatile in the midfield, Federico could play multiple roles.
"No, listen carefully. Can't you hear it?" He asked.
He could audibly hear the thudding sound like someone kicking the ball with power. This distinct sound, he could recognize.
Luka, the twenty-one-year-old Serbian defender found it rather hard. Unlike Federico, he heard nothing at all. So, he couldn't help but feel perplexed.
What was he talking about?
As they came out on the pitch, they were met with a silhouette of an individual. From the looks of it, he was practicing shooting from a distance.
Upon seeing the individual, Luka and Schreiber couldn't help but stare at Federico. While the two didn't even hear anything, Federico could tell that someone was already in the pitch.
Just how good was his hearing?n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The two looked at Federico in daze, mesmerized by his hearing ability.
