Chapter 669: Upgrade



Having completed the season objective, Hiro gained a lot, and his stats rose significantly. However, the most important benefit would still be the communication talent he obtained from completing the season objectives.

Although exhausted, Hiro glanced at the holographic screen floating before his eyes and contemplated, "Would I keep growing even after hitting the max limit?"

Rolling his eyes over to the note, Hiro's gaze turned solemn. It had been some while since he last checked his status. So, he wasn't aware of the notification about the upgrade.

However, now that he witnessed it, he couldn't help but think deeply about it.

"An upgrade huh?" Hiro muttered, his expression solemn. "What kind of benefit would it bring after the upgrade?"

"Well..., I had been thinking about using the gathered points to strengthen the other bones. Guess, that'll have to wait..."

Hiro then proceeded to upgrade the system. One thing was clear to him- upgrading the system brought many benefits.

The more he thought about the training, the more he felt irritated.

"Should I call in for a sick?" Hiro didn't want to leave a bad first impression on his soon-to- be teammates.

Restless, he began to toss and turn around in the bed. For a while, he couldn't get rid of the feeling of irritation.

After a while, he paused, "But... shouldn't I be glad that it happened at this stage? I mean, I don't have to play right now. So, shouldn't I be glad instead?"

Stabilizing his breath, Hiro began to ponder. Now that he thought about it, he started feeling better. He felt relieved that this change didn't happen during the middle of an ongoing season.

After weighing the pros and cons, Hiro didn't feel bothered.

However, he couldn't help thinking about the training session. Previously, the thought of training with the first team excited him. However, now, it only made him feel anxious.

If possible he'd like to skip the training.

It was the first time he had wished for something like this.

"Let's just go along with it...," Hiro dismissed the thought and went to sleep.

Fortunately for him, Simeone informed him that he didn't have to participate in the training early in the morning.

Hiro was prepared to participate. However, after meeting Simeone, he was informed that he didn't have to participate until the unveiling ceremony.

Hearing that, Hiro felt at ease.

There were still a few days left for the unveiling. Though he wouldn't be able to access his skills and talents, he didn't feel burdened about the presentation.

After all, dribbling was something he was confident about.

For a few days, Hiro toured around the city and enjoyed his stay. It was like a vacation for him. Before his presentation, Atletico had a match against Osasuna.
