Chapter 335: The Dark Army
Chapter 335: The Dark Army
Lady Yu silently looked at Kanari.
There was a tight sensation in her chest.
'There is something wrong.' She thought, and slowly started backing away to the door.
"You're awfully quiet." Kanari looked over his shoulder with a chilly gaze. "Shall I make that permanent?"
With a sudden turn, Kanari hurled his knife at her.
"Holy Shield!" Lady Yu placed her hands in front of her and created a thin-layered barrier.
The knife bounced off the barrier and harmlessly landed on the floor.
"Why're you doing this?!" She shouted with a frightened gaze.
Kanari jumped forward and slammed his fist at the barrier.
BOOM!
The barrier shook, and cracks began to form.
"The orders are orders." Kanari said coldly. "Would you defy your God's will?"
"No, I wouldn't..." Lady Yu whispered. "But there is no way the God ordered you to kill me." "Mine God did," Kanari said. "This is God Moriarty's will!"
'God Moriarty?!' Lady Yu's eyes widened and watched as Kanari reeled in his fist for another punch.
CRACK!
The window shattered.
"?!" Kanari turned his head to the side and got slammed so hard that he got sent flying to the other end of the room.
Boom!
With a bloody cough, Kanari crashed through the wall and landed in the hallway.
A few nuns saw him and cried out in shock.
"Someone alert the abbot!"
Lady Yu turned to look at the person who attacked Kanari and saw a strange flaming creature. When the flaming creature landed on the floor, its beautiful flaming wings disappeared, and the long beak transformed into a handsome human face with the liquid fire eyes returning to normal.
"Adam..." Lady Yu whispered before blooming into a smile.
Smash!
At that moment, an old-faced monk smashed through a wall with a wooden cane in hand. He jumped towards Adam, seeing him as a threat, and smacked his cane down.
"Don't, sir abbot!" Lady Yu screamed.
Adam moved his hand towards the old man and shouted. "Gravity Force!"
As if frozen in time, the abbot stopped moving, and he couldn't even swing his cane because it felt like he was trying to swing it through a thick, invisible wall.
"What a strange power!" The abbot exclaimed.
"Sir abbot, don't!" Lady Yu appeared in his way. "Adam came here to save me. I got attacked!"
"?" The abbot looked towards the broken wall and saw another, very tall man, lying on the ground. "That's Kanari; I thought he was with you?"
"I don't know, but he came here to kill me." She said.
"Alright then." The abbot turned to Adam. "Young man, mind letting me go?"
Adam lowered his arm, and the powers of the Gravity Force dissipated.
"You!" Kanari ran through the broken wall.
Instead of trying to attack Adam or the abbot, he was still going only for Lady Yu.
After all, she was his only target!

At that moment, one of the petaled wings pierced through the air and skewered Kanari in the chest.
Spurt!
The blood spewed.
"Argh!" Kanari coughed out a mouthful of blood.
The wing then impaled him on the wall.
"Young man, we need to question him." The abbot said. "This wasn't a random attack. Someone wanted Lady Yu to die."
"I know who." Adam said, and walked over to Kanari. "Moriarty ordered the kill!"
"Moriarty..." Lady Yu frowned. "Why would he do that?"
"You were the hostage." Adam said. "However, no need to worry about that anymore."
"Argh..." Kanari looked angrily at Adam.
He was quite shocked that Adam had acquired such strength.
"How are you so sure?" The abbot asked.
"Because I killed him!" Adam said with a cold look.
The abbot's and Lady Yu's eyes widened in shock.
The legendary Moriarty, the ruler of the New World, was dead?
Dead on such a random day like this one.
It was almost too unbelievable to comprehend.
"That's impossible!" Kanari screamed. "He wouldn't die to someone like you!"
"Well, he did." Adam used one of his wings and sliced through his throat. "So are you, clone."
Kanari collapsed on the ground and quickly vanished like a fart in the wind.
'At least I now know that clones won't die if their master is dead.' Adam thought. 'Maybe they don't if their master died in the real world.'
"My dear God." The abbot drew a cross across his chest. "You've killed someone in the house of god. Aren't you scared of being abandoned?"
"I am sure the God Almighty forgives me for this." Adam said. "I'll need you to close off this
monastery, immediately."
"Why?" Lady Yu asked.
"A great evil has arrived in the land." Adam said. "Tyrannical Warlords, does that name ring a
bell?"
Lady Yu shook her head.
"It does!" The abbot exclaimed. "I thought they had been dead for a long time."
"Sealed," Adam said. "The seal has been undone by humanity's very own King. It will be
dangerous, so close off the mountain, immediately."
With that, he walked over to the window to start flying to another destination.
"Adam, what're you going to do?" Lady Yu ran over to him and asked.
"Honestly, I don't have any idea." Adam turned to look at her beautiful face and said, "I don't
know what will happen from now, but if I die, I am sorry."
"I know..." Lady Yu grabbed his hand and put it against her chest. "At least we will die
together. That's pretty romantic, don't you think so?"
Adam chuckled. "Maybe so."
He then turned to the abbot and said, "Keep her safe. Like I said, close this mountain before it
is too late!"
"Alright." The abbot drew another cross on his chest. "I bless you with good fortune."
With that, Adam jumped off the window, and as his wings spread wide, he started gliding
through the air.
The body of his transformed again to that of Berserker.
The liquid fire eyes burned bright and strong.
"The Supreme Flight of the Berserker!"
The sky turned red as the flaming being soared throughout the cloudless sky.
However, at the distance, the dark clouds swept across the ground and brought dead with
them.
After another hour of flying, Adam appeared near Castle Rock. It was quite damaged from a fight that happened not too long ago.
The town's citizens were still locked in the cage, and they all turned to look towards the sky at
the flaming creature.
Adam landed on top of Castle Rock, and there he could see an approaching army of creatures
making their way through the land, killing everything in their path.
At the front of this large army, the five warlords rode on horseback.
"I sense him!" Rawkshawn grinned. "That flaming bastard has come to challenge us!"
"Alone?" Adelram smiled. "Fool."
"Tch." Gabriel turned back to his giant form and stomped the horse beneath him, causing the
ground to shake.
Adam closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
'I can help you.' Alastor's voice rang inside his mind. 'This will be suicide for you.'
"Shut up." Adam opened his eyes wide, the liquid fire in his eyes burning.
