Milfs: Dual Cultivation

Chapter 169 Five Gods!

At the same time,

Few group of disciple donned in white robe with some fancy and luxurious accessories were having an talk.

From their clothing alone, one could tell that they were superior disciple.

"Wufff* I never expected that Empire's army would leave out sect alone," one of them uttered.

"Indeed! That day I thought out sect would be destroyed however, the array placed by sect master slaughtered everyone," another one uttered.

Each of them had high amount of respect towards their sect master.

However, they weren't here to talk about this matter.

They were here to talk about something else.

"I heard many people are dying these days..." One of them finally brought up the topic.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Yeah! I heard a immortal curse has awakened and multiple cultivators are dying out of nowhere," another one added.

Immortal curse in an anveint curse placed upon this world which killed random cultivators.

Ordinary mortals were safe but cultivator weren't.

In just weeks around 20,000 cultivators has died in their empire.

"I heard another scet had explored a magical Well and after destroying the positions of statues of gods there, the curse has awakened," a disciple who looked more informative among them said with a small tone.

He was Mu Lao, the smartest disciple in the sect.

"W-What?" Another disciple exclaimed in surprise as he refused to believe the words of Mu Lao.

"I think junior brother believe I am making things up... However, I am not, the information I have is 100% accurate and can't be taken lightly," Mu Lao said.

"And if we have to suppress the curse, we need to put the statue of gods in their actual place in order," Mu Lao added.

"Brother Mu Lao, it's not like I don't believe you, however, I don't think we can even put the statues of gods in correct order when we didn't even messed it up,"

Hearing this, other remaining disciples also nodded.

They, who have never seen the actual positioning, how can they even fix it?

"Brother Bai, it's true however the frist one to receive the curse were the one who entered there... Which means those, who have went to that anceint Well were already dead and now the curse have been passed to sect, and within months, the curse will be passed to us..." Mu Lao uttered.

The curse was powerful bevause it could kill any cultivator within 2 hours.

And death won't be peaceful because the curse will kill with utmost pain.

Frist the Dao heart is sealed, and slowly the blood vessels would be destroyed, the bones will start to rot with rapid speed and blood will turn thin.

The atmosphere grew tense as the weight of Mu Lao's words sank in.

The disciples exchanged worried glances, the gravity of the situation dawning on them.

"Is there truly no way to reverse it?" one of them asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Mu Lao shook his head solemnly. "The only way to stop the curse is to restore the statues to their rightful positions. If we cannot do that, we are all in grave danger because we will be the next target of the curse because we are close to that sect, we only have few days to prepare because thousands of people from out sect will start to die,"

Mu Lao wasn't lying.

Daily thousand and thousands of people will die due to curse, the death is multipled by 2 every day.

Aka, if only 500 died in the frist Day, then, 1000 people died in the second day.

"But how can we even begin to find those statues?" another disciple interjected, frustration creeping into his tone.

He was scared because Mu Lao was correct, once the member of those sect are wiped out, it's their sect that will face the wrath if this curse.

"We weren't even there! We have no idea what they looked like or how they were arranged! And those who have entered there are already gone... I think we should notify the sect master about this," the speaking disciple was scared however he suddenly turned like stone and thought of sect master Xian Tian, who was very powerful.

Mu Lao held up a hand, trying to calm his fellow disciples. "I understand your concerns, but we must act quickly. The longer we wait, the more lives are at stake... Also we shouldn't bother sect master with such small things, we are proud member of flower bloosm sect and we should fix it by ourself... This is it, this is out time to impress the sect master and get promoted to core disciple... Hehe! We might even be rewarded,"

The disciples nodded, though uncertainty lingered in their eyes.

However, they believed with Mu Lao here they can easily fix such matters.

To them, Mu Lao was smart and wise, soz they didn't doubt his ability on fixing the positions of statues.

However, they also wondered how powerful the god is, becuse just moving the statue out of position brings such calamity.

"Perhaps we can consult the elders," suggested a third disciple, his brow furrowed in thought.

"They may have knowledge of the ancient texts that could guide us,"

"Haha! Don't worry little brothers..." Mu Lao let's out while he pulled out a anveint book.

Looking at the book, everyone of them let out a surprised noise.

"Th-This... This is the book that is related to the anceint well?"

"Wow! Brother Mu Lao how did you managed to get this book?"

Looking at the book, now everyone was confident in completing this task and saving the world.

Meanwhile, seeing them smile, Mu Lao looked down and smirked as if he was a chess master moving his pawn.

At the same time, in the depths of the ancient Well, shadows stirred.

The remnants of the curse twisted and writhed, feeding off the chaos and fear it had sown.

The statues which were now disturbed, pulsed with an eerie energy.

In the darkness, a voice echoed, ancient and powerful.

"Let them come. Let them seek the truth. They will find only despair,"

The curse had awakened, and it was hungry.

And the one who awakened the curse was none other than Mu Lao.

That's right, it wasn't awakened by nearby sect by rather Mu Lao.

The nearby sect merely tried to solve the puzzle and seal the curse once again, however they failed.

Anyway,

In the darkness,

Five statue of gods glowed with eerie purple glow.

These were five cursed gods and they were also the reason why this world is sealed and no one could ascend.

They were all Senic orb holder and thousand of years ago they had offended a dragon.

The Dragon realizing that he couldn't kill them decoded to seal them all and put a curse.

However gods can grow stronger with two things.

Frist is Faith and second is sacrifice.

As someone who were sealed and cursed, thru couldn't gather faith form lots of people so, only option left for them was sacrifice.

And the one who brought the sacrifice... Well!

...

Years ago, long before Mu Lao became the pride of the Flower Blossom Sect, he was just another nameless disciple.

Medium talent but overlooked, overshadowed by those with greater influence or lineage.

The common chain of cultivation world.

It was during this time of frustration and mediocrity that Mu Lao stumbled upon a forbidden cave during one of his sect's training expeditions.

Drawn by an unexplainable force, Mu Lao ventured deeper into the cave, his lantern flickering wildly as the air grew heavier with an oppressive presence.

He eventually arrived at a grand chamber, its walls inscribed with ancient runes that seemed to whisper his name.

It was as if the devil was talking to him telling him that all his wished could be fulfilled.

At the center stood five statues, each depicting a god frozen mid-pose.

Their stone forms were cracked and worn, but their eyes glowed faintly with an otherworldly light.

The moment Mu Lao stepped closer, a voice spoke, not in words, but directly into his mind, which was cold and serpentine.

"Child of ambition… you seek greatness, yet the world denies you,"

Mu Lao froze, his breath caught in his chest.

"Who dares to speak?" he asked aloud, though no sound left his lips.

The glow in the statues' eyes intensified, and the whispers became distinct.

The gods spoke in unison, their voices weaving together like a web:

"We are the Five, sealed by the cowardly dragon who feared our might. We have waited centuries for one bold enough to stand before us. Do you crave power, Mu Lao? Do you long to rise above the sheep who trample your worth?"

Their words pierced the depths of Mu Lao's heart, stirring the resentment he had buried for years.

It was like he was hypnotized by the gods.

With that, deal was formed and Mu Lao was told to bring sacrifice every month.

And as the power of these gods slowly increased, one of them created that curse to gather more sacrifice.
