Magic Sect of Beauties: The Strongest Mage is in a Cultivation World

Chapter 240 Rising Tensions.

BOOOOOM!

The shockwave of their clashing blades sent them both staggering back.

Jin Tianyu and Lu Lin charged at each other again as if some magnetic force was pulling them together. Jin Tianyu spun powerfully and aimed his sword at Lu Lin's neck, but she swiftly angled her fang sword to block, causing Jin Tianyu's blade to slide down hers. In response, she delivered a strong kick to his side, pushing him away momentarily.

However, Jin Tianyu quickly regained his balance and launched three vorpal water swords at her like bullets in a target range.

Using Fang Peak's Body Refinement, Lu Lin moved swiftly and gracefully, controlling her fang sword with unparalleled agility. She deflected the first water sword to the side, redirected the second one upwards, sending it tearing through the clouds, and then, with a spinning motion akin to a rotating topspin, she sent the last water sword flying back at Jin Tianyu with precision.

Instead of being struck by his own sword, Jin Tianyu moved fluidly like water in motion, dodging the water sword and seizing it by the hilt in one smooth motion.

"You would dare deflect my own attack?!"

He then flashed forward with the incredible speed of a Spirit Gathering-level cultivator, arcing his water sword towards Lu Lin. However, she matched his speed with peerless agility, causing both their blades to clash and erupt in a grand explosion of essence Qi, sending them both flying backward.

Jin Tianyu panted heavily, resting on one knee as he glared at the unfazed Lu Lin.

She chuckled mockingly, obviously trying to provoke him.

"I suppose I should kill you and your glasses-wearing friend. You'll serve as an example to anyone who dares to cross paths with disciples of the White Serpent Sect!"

While Jin Tianyu had the skill to match her, he knew she had a higher cultivation base, something that would likely determine the outcome of the battle.

Shit...! She's too strong for me!

Gritting his teeth, he remained kneeling.

The disciples who were wounded from the shockwave of their short battle all had one or two things to say. And they had no plans to hide the pains in their voice as they spoke. . .

"Scew this!"

"If this is what we're going to have to go through everyday if our sects merge, then I'm not interested!"

"There better not be a ceremony, I can't take this!"

"With the constant fights that have been popping up here and there, I doubt there'll be a ceremony to speak of. I rather just join a small sect and live my life happily that painfully having to be reminded how inferior my cultivation base is..."

Watching the heated dispute from afar, Sun Yurong and Yang Wei exchanged glances.

"Shouldn't we intervene?" Yang Wei raised an eyebrow at Sun Yurong.

"I'm sure. Let's see how this unfolds," she replied.

Her stern blood-red eyes remained fixed on Lu Lin to see if she would carry out her threat.

Lu Lin approached Jin Tianyu and pressed the tip of her fang sword against his neck.

"I hope you're cursed to return as a diseased rat!"

She swung her sword toward his neck, but paused when someone shouted. . .

"ENOUGH!"

Quickly getting angered, Lu Lin turned towards the voice.

"Who dares to interfere?!"

However, her anger turned to nervousness when she realized it was Sun Yujing who had ordered her to stop.

Fuck, it's Big Sis Sun!

She began to sweat nervously, dispersing her fang sword and bowing her head.

"S-, Senior Sister?! I-, I didn't know it was you!"

The moment Sun Yujing appeared, some male disciples couldn't help but stick out their tongues thirstily.

"It's Sister Yujing! She's looking beautiful as always!"

"Look at those things on her chest, they're so huge! It's like every woman in the White Serpent Sect is built to be lovely dolls!"

"It might not be so bad to merge with this sect, hm?"

"If I get to see this big sister everyday, I'm fine with it!"

Her sexy figure seemed to instantly soothe their anger, as if they had never been wounded in the first place.

But Sun Yujing paid them no mind.

She walked up to the trembling Lu Lin and firmly addressed her, "Humble yourself this instant, junior!"

Lu Lin obediently dropped to her knees, bowing her head and clasping her hands together. "Forgive me, Senior Sister. It seems I was slow-witted, and did not notice your respectable presence here." She dared not lift her head, keeping her brown eyes fixed on the ground.

Watching this with slight confusion, Yang Wei leaned in towards Sun Yurong. "Isn't that your daughter?"

Sun Yurong folded her arms and cleared her throat. "I'm aware..." she replied. Her tone lacked its usual warmth. Normally, she responded to Yang Wei in a more playful or sometimes seductive manner, but now, she sounded a bit rigid, as if something had soured her mood.

Sun Yujing tucked her hands behind her back.

"Even after our sect founder has made the ultimate decision, you're still ignorant enough to harm not one, but two of your soon-to-be sect brothers? Insolent!"

It was well-known that Sun Yujing was a calm flower, but she didn't get along with some of the disciples in the White Serpent Sect, simply because many of them held delusional beliefs about men being worthless. Like most of the female disciples, she had suffered at the hands of men, but she didn't generalize the entire gender because of it.

"How would you like to be punished for this disgrace you brought to our chief elders and matriarchs?"

As soon as Lu Lin heard Sun Yujing's words, she noticed the firm grip on her oxtail saber; it was resting in its beautifully designed red and golden sheath.

It put Lu Lin on edge, and she quickly placed her head on the ground.

"Honorable senior sister, this unworthy servant begs your forgiveness for failing to see Mount Tai."

Sun Yujing didn't seem satisfied at all.

She appeared to be in a foul mood, much like her mother.

"The sect's reunification ceremony is just days away. It's an event that could change our fates and the fate of the entire cultivation world... it's the sect's grandest plan. And yet, you dare to become an obstacle?"

Her hand slowly moved towards her oxtail saber.

"Perhaps I should cut out this despicable weed so our sect doesn't suffer any further losses!"

These words frustrated Lu Lin.

Initially, she might have complied and let the matter go, but now she felt that Sun Yujing was going too far.

She lifted her head defiantly to speak her mind. . .

"NO! I don't care about all that! What's the point of everything the matriarchs taught us and all the empowerment they gave us? We were raised to never need the help of a man for anything. It's a sign of weakness, they said! And now you expect us to change our beliefs just because it's convenient for others?

I, Lu Lin, refuse!"

Sun Yujing raised her voice sharply.

"Shut up!"

Her usually calm self seemed disturbed.

"The Matriarch made it clear that values matter more than beliefs. Beliefs can change based on new information or experiences, but not your values. You were taught to be strong enough to protect yourselves from men and never have to depend on them, not to hate them!"

Yang Wei continued to observe.

"Hmm..."

He started noticing some odd developments.

Both she and Yulian have been acting strange. Well, not just today, but for the past few days. Is something the matter? Maybe they've already talked to Yuying and it didn't go well? It seemed like Yuying was on track to recover her memories, but after the soul fragment fusion, she ended up forgetting a lot.

To his surprise, Sun Yurong completely ignored her daughter's attempt to resolve the situation and started flying away. "I'm leaving," she announced calmly.

Yang Wei watched as she elegantly floated away. "Where to?" he inquired casually.

"I prefer to focus on my cultivation until the reunification ceremony. Due to recent events I've neglected it for some time, and I'd like to get back to it."

"I see."

Meanwhile. . .

"Flexibility and respect for your values is the only thing that will truly aid your personal growth. Nothing else."

Sun Yujing concluded her words.

However, her attempt to inspire fell flat with someone as shallow as Lu Lin. Instead of feeling motivated, all it did was fuel her jealousy. While she noticed how other disciples from both sects were lapping up Sun Yujing's words, she remained unconvinced herself.

This bitch! Simply because she's so beautiful, she's trying to boost her appeal to men by making a fool out of me, huh?!

Lu Lin condensed a fang sword then charged towards Jin Tianyu, determined to kill him.

"No matter what you say, I will kill this bastard!"

She lunged for Jin Tianyu before he could even blink.

CLANG!

Sun Yujing intervened, blocking Lu Lin's fang sword with her unsheathed oxtail saber. Find your next adventure on empire

"Hm." Yang Wei hadn't yet decided whether to intervene.

"Don't interfere!" Lu Lin shouted, pressing her fang sword against Sun Yujing's saber in an attempt to break through.

Despite the tension, Sun Yujing remained remarkably calm. "I could end you here in defense of the sect founder's wishes, you know..." she coolly stated.

"As long as I get to defend my beliefs, death means nothing!"Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Lu Lin seemed reluctant to fold.
