At this moment, Gu Huanhuan was looking softly at Wen Chi with a smile. Her face was still a little pale and she looked weak.

Wen Chi raised the head of her hospital bed and helped her sit up. He then carried the baby from the crib and placed her in Gu Huanhuan’s arms.

Gu Huanhuan’s heart was a melted mess when she saw the soft and tiny person.

This little one was her and Wen Chi’s little princess.

The little fellow laying against her bosom was wrapped in a soft blanket with her tiny arms curled up in front of her. Her tiny face was slightly red and wrinkled like a steamed bun. She lay quietly against Gu Huanhuan’s bosom, not crying or making a fuss. She looked as peaceful as a soft kitten.

Shortly after, the confinement nanny came back to the hospital after buying congee and a few plain dishes for Gu Huanhuan per the doctor’s instructions. When she saw the little one in Gu Huanhuan’s arms, she couldn’t help but smile as she said, “The little baby is too adorable.”

“But of course! Just look at who gave birth to her!” Mrs. Wen was grinning from ear to ear. She had always been envious of other grandparents who dressed their cute granddaughters up and spoke to them in a childish voice. She finally had her own granddaughter now. She no longer needed to envy others.

Her daughter-in-law had made her wish come true.

“Mom.” Gu Huanhuan couldn’t help but smile. Her soft and weak voice made Mrs. Wen’s heart ache.

Gu Huanhuan passed the little darling she was holding to Mrs. Wen, knowing well that she had been waiting to hold her.

“Mom has the baby. Have some congee. I felt the container just now and it’s still warm.” Wen Chi said caringly. All his attention was on Gu Huanhuan now and not the baby.

“Alright.” Gu Huanhuan smiled. “Mom, you and Auntie Zhao should go home and rest. Chi will be here tonight with me and there are nurses on duty. You must be tired too.”

“No worries. Have some food. We’ll go home later.” Mrs. Wen was so contented with her new granddaughter that she didn’t care about anything else.

Gu Huanhuan watched as Wen Chi poured the congee into a bowl. She wanted to take the bowl from him but Wen Chi had already picked up a spoonful of congee and fed it to her.

Gu Huanhuan had no choice but to open her mouth and eat it. However, she felt very happy inside.

After swallowing that spoonful of congee, Gu Huanhuan said, “I’ll do it myself.”

She felt a little embarrassed being fed in front of so many people, especially in front of Mrs. Wen and Auntie Zhao.

“It’s okay. I’ll feed you.” Wen Chi said nonchalantly.

Why would Mrs. Wen and Auntie Zhao pay attention to them when they were both busy playing with the baby?

Mrs. Wen was at a loss at first when she carried the baby. However, her muscle memory returned very quickly.

She and Auntie Zhao were very engrossed in their own conversation.

Soon, Gu Huanhuan finished her congee and was about to take a nap.

Mrs. Wen held the little darling’s pinky reluctantly before she put her back in her crib and left with Auntie Zhao.

Only the happy family of three was left in the ward.

Wen Chi helped Gu Huanhuan lie down and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. He then planted a gentle kiss on his little princess’ slightly furrowed brows. He felt his heart melt as he looked at the two girls before him.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

These two were his most precious, the people he would love deeply for the rest of this life.

“Chi, look, the baby looks like you. Look at her slightly wrinkled forehead.” Gu Huanhuan said softly as she turned to face the crib and rested her slender fingers on the edge of the crib with a doting expression.

Wen Chi chuckled softly. “You’re really silly. Newborn babies all look like that. The wrinkles will disappear when they get bigger.”
