Chapter 415 - 414: Ace is Caught

As Blackbeard's voice faded, four figures appeared from the sky, landing around Ace and surrounding him.

Dressed in sharp suits and wearing animal masks, they exuded a chilling aura that sent shivers down the spine.

"CP0..."

Ace's expression darkened. He realized he'd fallen into Blackbeard's trap.

No wonder he'd so easily received news of Blackbeard's location near Mock Town.

The fact that Teach hadn't fled upon seeing him was a clear sign of confidence.

The prey... was himself.

Seeing the change in Ace's expression, Blackbeard grew even more smug.

"Captain Ace, are you satisfied with the gift I prepared for you?"

"After all, facing you alone is quite stressful for me!"

"Teach, you seem to be getting ahead of yourself... a gift? You think you're worthy?"

The white-haired CP0 agent spoke coldly, immediately silencing Blackbeard, who quickly became respectful.

"My apologies, sir. I got carried away. It's up to you to capture this remnant of the Pirate King."

"Hmph."

Hatake Sakumo snorted softly, ignoring the shameless traitor.

He despised people like Blackbeard, who betrayed their comrades. Even if he planned to use Teach, he wouldn't show him any respect.

"Portgas D. Ace, no, Gol D. Ace, surrender. With us here, you have no chance of escaping."

Ace glanced at the four figures surrounding him. Even without them making a move, he could tell they were no pushovers.

But that wasn't enough to make him give up.

The flames around Ace burned brighter, and he transformed into a blazing inferno.

"If you want to capture me, we still have to see if you World Government lackeys have what it takes!"

"World government lackeys?"

Hearing Ace's disdainful tone, Sakumo chuckled softly.

It was true that they were tools, but what did that have to do with the World Government?

"Enough talk. Move out!"

At Sakumo's command, two of the CP0 agents charged at Ace, while the fourth took to the air to provide support.

Blackbeard watched the battle unfold and quickly led Lafitte to a safe distance.

If given the chance, he had no doubt these CP0 agents would eliminate him as well.

Having stayed in the shadows for so long, Blackbeard wanted to make a grand entrance. He wouldn't risk his life unnecessarily.

His eyes gleamed with excitement as he watched Ace struggle in the battle.

After their last encounter, Blackbeard knew he was no match for Ace. It was only natural to seek outside help.

When the CP0 agents approached him with an offer to cooperate, he agreed.

Using him as bait to capture Ace would earn him a position as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

With that title, he could manipulate many things and secure his future crew.

"Zehahahaha, fight, fight! Everything is paving the way for my rise!"

Hiding in the bushes, Blackbeard let out a cold laugh.

On the battlefield, the fight grew fiercer.

One agent wielded a blade so sharp it could cut through anything. Another had unparalleled physical strength, capable of splitting mountains with a single strike. A third could turn sand into gold with a flick of his fingers.

The fourth, hovering in the air, formed hand seals and unleashed devastating barrier techniques that could annihilate armies.

In this battle, time seemed irrelevant, and the very laws of nature were bent.

Okay, that was an exaggeration.

But Ace fought with everything he had. His fists unleashed torrents of fire, and his flaming dragon roared across the sky.

Unfortunately, his opponents were even more formidable.

Sakumo Sakumo's swordsmanship was unmatched.

The Third Raikage's Lightning Style was overwhelming. The Third Kazekage's gold dust was fire-resistant and highly effective against Ace.

What truly terrified Ace was the man in the sky.

His strange beam attacks were devastating. Ace didn't dare rely on his elementalization to tank them and could only dodge using his Observation Haki.

If not for the CP0 agents' restraint—wanting to capture him alive—Ace wouldn't have lasted this long.

The battle raged for quite a while.

As Ace began to tire, Sakumo seized the opportunity. His blade flashed like lightning, striking Ace's chest.

A numbing sensation spread through Ace's body, freezing him for a split second.

The Third Raikage capitalized on this, knocking Ace out with a single punch and ending the fight.

Blackbeard emerged from the bushes, swaggering as he laughed.

"As expected of CP0 agents. Truly impressive." His voice carried a hint of fear.

None of these agents were weaker than Ace, and the World Government had four of them.

The 800-year-old legacy of the World Government was indeed mysterious.

"We'll honor our agreement. Wait for the Marines to contact you," Sakumo said, cuffing Ace with seastone handcuffs before turning to leave without a second glance at Blackbeard.

As the CP0 agents disappeared, the smile faded from Blackbeard's face.

When Ace was captured, Whitebeard felt a deep sense of unease, as if something terrible was about to happen.

Thinking of Ace, who had been gone for over a month, his heart skipped a beat.

"Marco, any news from Ace yet?"

Marco, hearing the question, scratched his head. "Two days ago, Ace said he'd found Teach's trail. He should be back soon."

Seeing Whitebeard's lingering worry, Marco smiled reassuringly. "Pops, you know how strong Ace is.

"Aside from you and Sasuke, even I can only draw with him thanks to my regeneration. Teach is no match for him."

The other captains chimed in, expressing their confidence in Ace.

Whitebeard felt somewhat reassured but noticed Sasuke quietly eating his food without joining the conversation.

"Kid, are you worried about Ace too?"

Sasuke finished his meal slowly, wiped his hands, and said calmly, "I believe Ace will be fine. Even if something happens, I'll rescue him."

Hearing this, Whitebeard was momentarily stunned, then burst into laughter.

"Gurararara"

"That's right, if something happens, we'll rescue him!"

Why was he so panicked just then, if anything happens, he'll just have to save his son.

He was Whitebeard after all.
