The severed head of Kurozumi Orochi was silently placed before Kaido.

Blood dripped from the dismembered body, mixing with Kaido's own blood pooling on the ground.

Kaido's face darkened.

"You killed him just like that? Aren't you afraid of the chaos his death will bring to the factions within Wanokuni?"

Kurozumi Orochi was never someone Kaido respected for his strength.

Even with the rare Zoan, Mythical Beast-type Yamata no Orochi Devil Fruit, Orochi was, in Kaido's eyes, nothing more than trash.

However, Orochi held sway over the intricate power dynamics in Wanokuni.

His influence was vital to maintaining stability in the region, which was crucial for Kaido's access to seastone and high-quality weaponry.

Kaido's ultimate ambition was to ignite a war that would shake the world to its core, and for that, he needed resources-seastone, weapons, and Devil Fruits.

"I just killed a piece of garbage," Madara said dismissively, waving his hand as if brushing off a minor inconvenience.

"Why make a fuss over that?"

Madara's tone grew colder.

"The so-called chaos you speak of is nothing but the delusion of people who think they can change the world. But they can't even control their own destinies."

"If anyone opposes me, I will swiftly deal with them, it's as simple as that, no need for any complications."

Madara stepped on Kaido's dragon head, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of mockery and dominance.

"What about you, Kaido? Are you one of those who will dare oppose me?"

"Damn it, you bastard!" Kaido roared, struggling to shake Madara off.

But no matter how hard he tried, Madara remained unmoved, like an immovable mountain. Kaido eventually stopped struggling, his rage simmering beneath the surface.

"At least tell me who the hell you are! Why has no one in the New World heard of the name Uchiha?"

"And what is your purpose?"

Madara sat down casually, his demeanor oozing arrogance.

"I am a ninja. A true one. Not one of your pathetic imitations that call themselves ninjas in Wanokuni."

Kaido rolled his eyes.

He knew of the so-called ninjas in Wanokuni-mere extensions of samurai, employing techniques that samurai often looked down upon.

He could clearly tell Madara was nothing like them.

"So, what's your purpose? The New World is vast, yet you've set your sights on Wanokuni. Why?"

"Seastone. Wanokuni's weapons."

Kaido's eyes narrowed.

"You're preparing for war. Who's your enemy?"

Madara chuckled, his disdain was palpable.

"Enemy? No one in this world is worthy of being my enemy. This is merely preparation to obliterate the World Government and exterminate those pompous bastards who call

themselves the Celestial Dragons."

Kaido's eyes widened in surprise.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You're targeting the Celestial Dragons?"

It wasn't fear that gripped Kaido-it was confusion.

He had no love for the Celestial Dragons, but he saw no reason to provoke them unnecessarily.

Uchiha Madara, however, was clearly different.

His disdain for the Celestial Dragons reminded Kaido of someone else

someone whose

existence the World Government had tried to erase. That person, too, sought to kill all Celestial Dragons but couldn't achieve his goal.

Kaido fell silent, his head slightly lowered.

"I can cooperate with you," Kaido said after a long pause.

"But only as equals. This is not a surrender."

Madara smirked.

Kaido continued after seeing he caught his interest.

"You can keep Wanokuni, and I'll even send my subordinates to help you deal with the remnants of Kurozumi Orochi's forces. But I have conditions: you cannot touch my weapon factories or seastone forges. In return, I'll give you half of the output."

"Eighty percent," Madara cut in sharply.

Half wasn't enough for someone who had just conquered the whole land.

Though Eighty percent was also too much, so it was all about haggling.

"Impossible! Eighty percent is just too much, much as well just kill me." Kaido couldn't deal

with that.

So, he laid his counteroffer.

"Sixty percent is the limit I can reach."

Madara remained impassive and shook his head.

"Seventy. Refuse, and you'll really die."

Kaido clenched his fists but reluctantly agreed. He might have said he could kill him, but he was just going with the flow. If it came to it, Madara could really kill him and take everything

anyway.

As a final condition, Kaido made one demand: if Madara ever made an attack on Mariejois, he would bring Kaido along.

Madara chuckled, leaping off Kaido's head.

As he walked away from the Flower Capital, he left a final remark.

"Recover quickly. I left one of your subordinates in the city. Whether he lives or dies is up to his luck, as he had dared to cross me. I've already taken what I needed-he's of no use to me

anymore."

Kaido's eyes flashed with realization as he pieced together Madara's words.

"That bastard!" Kaido growled internally.

"The moment I surpass him, I'll kill him!"

Both knew their truce was temporary, a precarious balancing act.

Kaido's ambitions as a Yonko and Madara's unrelenting dominance meant their partnership

could only last as long as their goals aligned.

For now, however, Madara held the upper hand-strength was the ultimate trump card.

As Madara left Wanokuni, he contacted Colt.

"You finished already?" Colt asked, surprised at how quickly Madara had handled things.

Madara's voice was as calm as ever.

"The so-called Four Emperors are not even worth half my strength."

"Still, it's at least worth fifty thousand points, right?"

Colt sighed. Madara, once an iconic figure of grandeur, now sounded almost mercenary with his fixation

on performance points.

"Fine, fifty thousand it is. With thirty thousand, you can finally resurrect Izuna."

Madara's response, however, caught Colt off guard.

"Not yet,"

"I'll use the points to strengthen myself first."
