Chapter 409 Cerulea
-Absorbed the Superior Karma Vein: +500 PP
-Karma Element Acquired: +1 PP
Alright! It's been so long since I got a new Magic Affinity! William gleamed as he tried to call Mana of the Karma Element.
-Detected the state of the Karma Element is unusual. Cannot use Karma Element.
What?! Why can't I use it?
-The Karma Element seems to be blocked. Only individuals born with the Element seem able to use it...
Blocked? How can that happen?
-When one creates a World, they also establish its rules. It seems that the creator of this World didn't want unnatural use of the Fate or Karma Element.
-I realized this while you were in the Gravitas Ruins, since granting you both the Fate and Karma Affinities were blocked by the rules of the World. Somehow, even my scan of the World was blocked and it made me believe there were only 27 Elements, not 28.
-I'm updating the System Quests now. It's above my current level but absorbing the Superior Fate Vein should allow you to use both Elements.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

It's weird to see you wrong, System, but I won't give you problems for it. Everyone makes mistakes. So, I just need to absorb the Superior Fate Vein then? Well good thing we're on the right Continent for that! William didn't linger and headed straight for the Lesser Fate Veins.
He didn't fail to notice that the World seemed different somehow, but he didn't have time to ask questions. He sat cross-legged in front of the Fate Veins and requested for the System to absorb the first batch.

"Efretta has been very active lately, don't you think?" a golden-haired man with pointed eyebrows looked at Golden Girl from across the banquet table with a flirty smile.
A woman with star-shaped pupils and hair matching her siblings spoke up with a worried expression, "Something's happening on your World, Cerulea?"
"Brother Aegion, this must be another one of your pranks." Cerulea waved in dismissal, her mouth slightly open as she grinned, "Efretta has been slightly more interesting than usual, that's all."
"Is that so? Then why have the Rules of Karma been fluctuating so much?" Aegion leaned backward in his chair, tilting it until only two legs were on the ground. His left leg crossed over his right, while pulling with his finger to draw a floating goblet to his lips.
"Just an experiment of mine. Nothing to pay attention to. You're not planning to do something to my World, are you? You've never paid this much attention to my things before." Cerulea narrowed her eyes in suspicion.
"Hahaha! That's exactly right. Now that you mention it, I don't usually pay attention to things that don't interest me." Aegion set his chair down and snatched the goblet from midair, standing up to walk towards Cerulea's side of the table.
He leaned in to whisper in her ear, smiling as he did it. "So what IS it, that's gotten even me interested? Huh? Care to make a guess?"
Cerulea clutched her dress from under the table, forming white marks on her legs as she scowled, "Stay out of my business."
"Or what? You're going to tell father? Please." Aegion laughed as he snatched a piece of Royal Spirit Duck leg from Cerulea's plate. He took a bite of the duck, savoring its juicy taste as he walked over to his second sister's seat.
"Have you come to steal my food too, brother?" the star-eyed girl glanced over with infinite grace in her movements.
"Of course not, my lovely sister. You're not as fun." Aegion finished the duck and licked his fingers, setting the clean bone on his second sister's napkin. "But I wonder if you'd be interested in a rumor about a human?"
"A human? What could a human do that interests us? Are you telling me that this human has interested you?" the second sister asked.
"Only the one, but interested me he has!" Aegion raised his goblet animatedly and took another sip, the red wine dribbling down his chin before landing on the table just centimeters away from his second sister's plate.
"Then do tell." the second sister didn't even react to Aegion's obvious intent to annoy her.
"Tch." Aegion frowned. "Very well, his name is William—"
"A boring name. Continue."
"I was!"
The sister went silent, but a light smile crept up on her beautiful lips. +1 for me, hehe.
"His name is William, and he has received—"
"Received what?"
"Damn you!"
+2!
"Continue."
"He has received a Heavenly Mark from our unruly first sister herself!" Aegion announced, finishing off the wine in his goblet with a single swig.
"The Heavenly Mark? From you?" second sister looked at Cerulea with surprise, though it was only shown in her eyes.
Cerulea nodded, "Brother, you've been spying for a while now, haven't you?"
"I have. I won't deny it." Aegion nodded, approaching Cerulea once more and placing a hand on her shoulder. "Which means you know what I know. Are you sure you're going to let him get away with this?"
Cerulea looked at Aegion calmly, her voice low as she said, "I have more to gain than there is to lose."
Aegion nodded multiple times, his head bobbing up and down in an almost rhythmic manner. "But you can still lose a lot." he leaned downward a second time and whispered, "Of course, I can help you if you give me a share. Our old father won't even have to know."
