Chapter 101 The Swordking's Throneroom
Lilo clung tightly to August, pressing her face against his chest as her bright eyes sparkled with relief. "Aleman! I thought you were done for! You're amazing, you know that?"
August chuckled while patting her back lightly. "Alright, alright, Lilo. I'm glad you're okay too. But we can't waste time here."
Boris grinned with his massive axe resting on his shoulder. "I can't believe it, man. I thought we'd all be dead meat back there. You've got guts, Aleman."
Ezran stood quietly nearby as his hands fidgeted with the hem of his robe. "T-thank you for coming back for us. That was... brave."
August nodded. "I wasn't about to leave my friends to those maniacs. Thankfully that strange dude interfered at the last minute. But we need to move. Aria and the others are ahead, and we can't let anyone else clear the dungeon first."
The group quickly picked up what loot they could from the fallen players around them. Among the items August picked up were a "Minor Stamina Potion" and a "Twin electric Dagger (Bronze)."

"We need to get to the passageway fast," August said before keeping the new daggers in his inventory. "If we hurry, we might catch up."
"Let's go!" Lilo said enthusiastically, skipping ahead.

In No Man's Wasteland, the respawn zone outside the Ancient Swordking Dungeon, Drakos, Orlma, and Lyriss sat together with dark expressions. Players who had been killed wandered aimlessly, some arguing about strategies, others lamenting their losses.
Drakos clenched his fists as his knuckles turned white with fury. "That bastard," he growled. "That damn unknown player... I'll make him pay."
Orlma's demeanor remained calm and unshaken despite her own death. "Drakos, it's clear we underestimated them. But it's not like we can do anything about it now."
Drakos glared at her. "Do you realize what'll happen if we fail this mission? The Oni won't tolerate failure!"
Lyriss continued sharpening her dagger with a poker face. "Orlma is right, what can we do about it? They must be at the final floor already."
Drakos stood abruptly, reaching into his inventory. "I'm not waiting around. This cost me a fortune, but it's worth it." He pulled out a glowing red crystal from his inventory.
[System Notification: Respawn Crystal (Exclusive Item)]

"Are you serious?" Orlma's calm façade cracked slightly as she questioned. "You're wasting that here?"
Drakos crushed the crystal in his hand and a blinding light enveloped his body. "No one takes me down and gets away with it."
His figure vanished, leaving only a faint shimmer of red light behind.
Moments later, a flash of light reappeared on the 102nd floor of the dungeon, right where Drakos had died.
...
...
August and the others moved swiftly through the passageway as they approached the end of the 102nd floor.
"We're almost there," Boris stated in excitement. "I can feel it."
Ezran glanced nervously over his shoulder. "D-do you think those three are gone for good?"
"Let's hope so," August voiced while scanning the dimly lit corridor ahead. "Let's just focus on what's ahead."
Lilo piped up from the front with a cheerful tone. "Let's just focus on reuniting with those new friends of Aleman! And maybe grabbing more loot on the way!" She giggled.
Boris wrapped his arms around August's shoulder; "You already made new friends huh Aleman and left your old folks behind."
"Because of your bad breath," August responded causing everyone to let out a burst of laughter.
...
...
On the final floor, the mysterious solo player sat calmly against the massive double doors.
His back leaned against the intricately carved stone as if the entire concept of urgency did not exist in his world.
His white hair fell loosely around his helmet, and his red-glowing sword stayed strapped to his back. His aura was intimidating, but his demeanor was annoyingly aloof.
Aria, Torin, Drask, Gareth, and Viora were scattered around the area, combing every corner of the vast chamber.
The doors were massive, at least 30 feet tall, with carvings of the Swordking's face in its prime, surrounded by celestial warriors and raging shadows. Yet, despite their combined efforts, they had found nothing resembling a key.
"Ugh! This is so frustrating!" Torin finally threw up his hands. He glared at the solo player. "And you're just sitting there! Aren't you even going to help?"
The solo player lazily tilted his head up and glanced at Torin. "Have you found it yet?" His voice was calm and disinterested.
Torin faltered. "No, but that's not the—"
"Then keep looking." The solo player waved his hand dismissively, almost as if he was brushing away a fly.
"Why, you little—" Torin started, but Aria held up a hand.
"Torin, focus!" Aria shot him a warning look. "We need to find the key. There's no use arguing with him."
Drask grumbled with his berserker axe slung over his shoulder. "Still, it's kind of insulting. He just sits there acting like the key will fall from the sky."
The solo player smirked slightly but said nothing.
---
Moments later, the sound of footsteps echoed through the chamber. August, Lilo, Boris, and Ezran emerged from one of the many passageways leading into the area. Lilo, ever bubbly, waved enthusiastically as they approached.
"We made it!" Lilo called out while skipping happily. "And guess who brought reinforcements?"
Aria's face lit up with relief. "Aleman! You're alive! What happened with Drakos?"
August sighed before brushing some dust off his cloak. "It was brutal. Barely made it out alive. But... I had help." He pointed toward the solo player sitting against the massive doors.
Aria's eyes followed his gesture, and she tilted her head. "Him?"
"Yeah," August nodded while walking over. He stood before the mysterious player and offered a slight bow. "Thanks again for the assist back there."
The solo player gave him a lazy wave. "Don't mention it."
"What's your name, anyway?" August asked curiously.
The solo player looked up briefly with his red eyes glowing faintly beneath his helmet. "Not important."
"Not important?" Lilo piped up while standing on her tiptoes to peek at him. "That's not a name!"
"Doesn't matter," the solo player said flatly before returning his gaze to the ground as if dismissing the entire conversation.
"Rude," Lilo muttered with a pout. Her cheeks puffed up cutely as she turned around.
"So, what's going on here?" August glanced between his party and the others.
Aria sighed. "We've been stuck here for nearly an hour. These doors won't open without a key, and no one knows where it is."
August frowned. "A key, huh?"
Torin grumbled loudly, throwing his hands up. "And Mr. Mysterious over here hasn't lifted a finger to help! Just sitting there like some kind of royalty."
The solo player didn't even bother looking up. "Have you found it yet?" he asked lazily.
Torin's face turned red with frustration. "No! That's the problem!"
"Then keep looking." The solo player waved dismissively again.
"You—!" Torin started forward, but Gareth grabbed his arm.
"Let it go, Torin," Gareth said. "He's not worth it."
"I can hear you," the solo player added nonchalantly.
Aria pinched the bridge of her nose. "Enough. We need to focus. Does anyone know of any floor that could have the key? Maybe we can go back to comb through... I mean it's pretty pointless if we can't get pas..."
August suddenly paused as his eyes narrowed in thought. "Wait a minute." He opened his inventory panel.

"I picked up this random key on one of the floors," August voiced while pulling it out of his inventory. It was a heavy, wrought-iron key with intricate carvings.
Aria's eyes widened. "That... could be it!"
The solo player finally lifted his head and glanced at the key. "Well, look at that. Guess someone was paying attention."
Torin bristled. "Oh, shut up! You didn't even help!"
August stepped forward while holding the key out toward the massive doors. "Let's see if this works."
As he approached, the key glowed faintly, and the carvings on the door began to shimmer. Everyone stepped back, holding their breath.
The solo player stood up slowly, brushing himself off. "Took you long enough."
The sound of ancient mechanisms grinding echoed through the chamber as the doors slowly creaked open, revealing a dark, swirling passageway beyond. A gust of cold wind rushed out, carrying with it the faint sound of whispers.
