Chapter 778: Backstage Celebration

Chapter 778: Backstage Celebration

Backstage at Mafra Q Hall was alive with a buzz of excitement and adrenaline. The air was thick with the exhilaration of a concert that had gone off flawlessly. The roar of the crowd still echoed faintly from the venue, the sound of thousands of voices singing Moonlight's songs lingering like a final note that hadn't quite faded away.

Moonlight, still in full stage attire-silver hair gleaming under the dim backstage lights and his mask securely in place-stepped off the stage, the final cheers of the audience still ringing in his ears. Behind him, the rest of the band followed, sweat glistening on their foreheads, but their faces alight with the thrill of a successful show.

As soon as Moonlight stepped off the stage, he was met with cheers and applause from the backstage crew, band members, and his closest friends. It was an intimate yet electric moment, where the rush of the performance still pulsed through the air. His silver hair was damp with sweat, his masked face hidden in shadows, but the brightness in his red eyes told the whole story. He had given everything on stage, and now, he was ready to celebrate.

"Fantastic show!" one of the stage managers said, clapping Moonlight on the back. "Absolutely amazing."

Moonlight-Theo, really, behind the mask-nodded, his smile hidden but his gratitude evident in the way he returned the gesture. "Thank you," he said, his voice slightly hoarse from the performance but filled with warmth. "It couldn't have gone any better."

Ayia, standing nearby with a wide grin on her face, was one of the first to approach. She had been coordinating everything backstage, making sure each transition, effect, and lighting cue was timed to perfection. Now, seeing the way the entire team was celebrating, she felt a wave of pride and relief wash over her. This had been a massive undertaking, and everything had gone exactly as planned.

"Moonlight," she called out as she approached Theo, her eyes shining. "You absolutely killed it out there."

Theo turned toward her, his red eyes glinting with amusement. "I couldn't have done it without you, Ayia. The entire show was flawless."

Ayia shrugged, pretending to brush off the compliment, but the smile on her face betrayed just how much the praise meant to her. "We make a good team," she said, her voice warm with affection. "But really, that crowd... they were something else."

"They were incredible," Theo agreed, his mind flashing back to the final moments of the concert when the audience had started singing "The Scientist" acapella after the show had officially ended. That moment had moved him in a way he hadn't expected, and now, as the adrenaline slowly began to ebb away, he could still feel the emotion of it all.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

As the two of them talked, the rest of the band gathered around, excitedly chatting about their favorite moments of the night. Everyone was on a high, still buzzing from the energy that had permeated the venue. Instruments had already been packed away, stage equipment dismantled, but the sense of celebration remained.

Aurora, or rather, Tsukuyomi, stood nearby, her own mask in place. She had changed out of her elaborate stage outfit and into something more comfortable but still fitting her on-stage persona―a dark, flowing jacket with subtle silver accents that matched Moonlight's. Despite the change, she was still very much Tsukuyomi, keeping up the persona for the benefit of everyone around them. Only Theo, Ayia, and a select few knew the truth about their identities, and they intended to keep it that way.

Aurora caught Theo's eye from across the room, and even though her face was partially hidden, he could tell she was smiling. The night had been a success, and she had played her part perfectly. They shared a silent moment of pride, one sibling to another before Aurora joined in the conversation with the others.

"That solo you pulled off during 'Believer'," one of the band members said, shaking his head in awe. "That was unreal. The crowd was losing it."

Theo chuckled softly. "It was one of those moments where everything just clicks, you know? The energy, the crowd, the music... it was all there."

Ayia, standing beside them, couldn't help but nod in agreement. "And those flames during the chorus," she added with a grin. "Did you feel the heat from those? I was watching from the control board, and even from there, I thought the stage was going to catch fire."

Aurora laughed, her voice soft and melodic even through the mask. "The pyrotechnics were insane. I thought for sure someone's hair was going to get singed."

The group shared a laugh, their camaraderie strengthened by the success of the night. For a brief moment, it felt like nothing else in the world existed but this-a team of performers, crew, and friends who had just pulled off one of the most memorable concerts of the year. As the celebration continued, Ayia made her way through the crowd of crew members, checking in with everyone and making sure the final tasks were being completed, after all, she had to make sure the crowd left the venue safely. Even in the middle of the celebration, she couldn't turn off her sense of responsibility. But as she moved, she found herself glancing back toward Theo and Aurora, watching the two of them interact with the others. Even in their personas as Moonlight and Tsukuyomi, there was a sense of ease between them that only siblings could share.

"Moonlight, Tsukuyomi," one of the lighting techs called out, raising a bottle of water in salute. "You two were unbelievable tonight. I've never seen a crowd like that before."

Aurora smiled under her mask, her voice filled with appreciation. "Thank you. It felt amazing up there. The energy was something else."

Theo nodded in agreement. "You guys did an incredible job. That light show during 'Believer' was on another level."

The tech grinned, obviously pleased with the compliment. "We wanted to make sure it matched the intensity of the song. I think the crowd was feeling it."

"Oh, they were feeling it," Ayia added with a smirk. "I could see them from the control board. People were jumping so hard I thought the floor might give out."

More laughter followed, and the mood continued to be light and celebratory. Everyone was basking in the afterglow of the night, talking excitedly about their favorite moments, from the seamless transitions between songs to the way the crowd had sung along to every lyric as if their lives depended on it.

Despite the camaraderie, Theo, Aurora, and Ayia remained careful not to let their guard down. The personas of Moonlight and Tsukuyomi had become iconic, and revealing their true identities would be a risk they weren't ready to take. So, even in the midst of friends and colleagues, they kept their masks—both literal and figurative—firmly in place.

After another round of congratulations and shared excitement, Theo glanced at Aurora. "Ready to head to the dressing room?" he asked quietly, his voice just loud enough for her to

hear.

Aurora nodded. "Yeah, I think it's time."

Ayia, catching their exchange, smiled softly. She knew that the night had been an emotional one for both of them, and she could sense that they needed a moment to themselves.

"I'll catch up with you two in a bit," Ayia said, giving them both a small, knowing nod. "Go take a breather."

Theo and Aurora shared a glance, silently thanking her, and then made their way through the crowd toward the dressing rooms. As they moved, people continued to call out to them, offering praise and congratulations, and they waved in response, maintaining their personas until they were out of sight.

Once they reached the quieter backstage hallway, away from the crowds and the noise, they both let out a long breath, the weight of the night finally starting to settle in.

"Can you believe that?" Aurora asked, her voice quieter now, but still tinged with excitement.

Theo shook his head, his heart still racing from the high of the performance. "That was something special. I'm not sure I've ever felt anything like it."

They reached the door to the dressing room, and as they stepped inside, the noise from the backstage celebrations faded into the distance. For the first time since the concert had

started, they were alone, just Theo and Aurora.

As the door closed behind them, Theo removed his mask, letting out a long breath. "We did

it."

Aurora smiled, removing her own mask and letting her silver and black hair fall loose around her shoulders. "Yeah," she said softly, her eyes shining. "We really did."
