More Death Eaters spilled into the fray, their spells flying in rapid succession. The air filled with shouts, the sharp crack of spells, and the searing flashes of curses that left trails of smoke and scorched marks on the walls. Kingsley shouted out orders, trying to organize the Aurors even as they struggled to hold their ground.

"Hold the line! No one lets them past!" he roared, blocking another hex as he fired a Stunning Spell at Bellatrix herself. She dodged, her laughter echoing as she retaliated with a sickly green bolt aimed at Kingsley's chest.

Amelia Bones stepped in, shielding it with a transfigured slob of concrete just in time with a quick flick of her wand. "Focus, Shacklebolt!" she snapped, shooting a hex that narrowly missed Bellatrix but caught a masked Death Eater in the shoulder, sending him stumbling back.

The fight spread out, spilling across the narrow streets and drawing in more combatants. Mad-Eye Moody was a storm of constant movement, his magical eye spinning madly as he deflected hex after hex, barking orders to the younger Aurors around him. He sent a fire hex into the midst of a group of Death Eaters, the flames licking up and forcing them to scatter.

"Stand your ground!" Moody bellowed, his wand a blur as he conjured a shield to deflect a barrage of curses. One particularly nasty spell—a streak of black and red—grazed his leg, burning through his robes, but he barely flinched. "You call that a hex?" he taunted, shooting a curse back with a furious glare.

Dumbledore was among them, his expression grim as he raised his wand, sending forth a shimmering wave that surged like water, knocking two Death Eaters off their feet. The ground beneath them twisted and shifted under his spell, stones rearranging themselves into barriers to shield the Aurors as they pressed forward.

"Stay behind the barriers!" Dumbledore called, his voice carrying a rare note of urgency. The Aurors immediately shifted to use the walls he had conjured as cover, ducking behind them as they launched spells at the advancing Death Eaters.

Bellatrix, her eyes blazing with twisted joy, raised her wand, sending a Blasting Curse that shattered the nearest barrier, scattering debris as Aurors scrambled to regroup. "Running already, are you?" she taunted, targeting an Auror who had barely managed to get to his feet.

Kingsley jumped in, blocking her spell just in time, and shot a flurry of stunners back at her. "You're not getting past us, Lestrange!"

Bellatrix cackled, parrying his spell and sending back a cutting hex that Kingsley narrowly dodged, the spell slicing through the air where his shoulder had been.

Nearby, Amelia Bones was locked in a duel with one of Bellatrix's followers, her wand moving swiftly as she countered every curse thrown her way. She retaliated with a forceful Knockback Jinx, sending the Death Eater skidding across the cobblestones before turning her wand to fire a rapid Stunner at another who had been trying to sneak up behind her. He dropped, stunned, before he could get close enough to be a threat.

The Aurors were holding their own, but the sheer ferocity of Bellatrix and her followers was relentless. The narrow alleys became a chaotic maze of shouting, flashing spells, and the smell of scorched air. Stone walls cracked and splintered under the force of spells, while glass shattered from storefronts nearby as curses went wide. The Death Eaters were fighting like cornered animals, each one desperate and fully prepared to take as many Aurors down with them as they could.

Mad-Eye Moody spotted a gap in the line and charged forward, knocking two Death Eaters aside with a powerful Stunning Spell. "Stick together, watch each other's backs!" he barked. His magical eye spun, catching sight of another Death Eater sneaking toward Dumbledore, and he sent a hex hurtling toward him. The Death Eater crumpled, clutching his wand arm as he stumbled back.

Dumbledore nodded his thanks and raised his wand, drawing a complex pattern in the air. Golden light arced from his wand, enveloping the nearby Aurors with a shimmering shield that absorbed the next wave of curses. "We push them back, no one retreats!" he called, his voice calm but carrying an unmistakable authority.

Bellatrix, seeing her forces being driven back, snarled, her eyes flashing with rage. She raised her wand, gathering dark energy around it, and sent a massive Blasting Curse hurtling toward the Aurors' position. The ground shook as the curse exploded, sending a wave of debris and dust into the air, disorienting everyone nearby.

The Aurors staggered back, caught off guard by the force of the blast. Two of them were knocked to the ground, momentarily dazed. Bellatrix took advantage of the chaos, advancing with a feral grin, her wand flashing as she fired curses at the closest targets.

"Get up!" Moody shouted, grabbing one of the fallen Aurors by the collar and pulling him to his feet. He raised his wand, countering Bellatrix's next spell with a strong Protego, the shield flaring bright as it deflected her curse. "She's trying to divide us—don't let her!"

Kingsley had managed to regroup with Amelia and a few other Aurors, and together they formed a solid line, their wands raised in unison as they fired a coordinated wave of Stunning Spells toward the advancing Death Eaters. One by one, Bellatrix's followers fell, crumpling to the ground as the Aurors' spells struck true.

Bellatrix let out a furious scream, seeing her forces being overwhelmed. With a mad glint in her eye, she fired a Killing Curse directly at Kingsley. He sidestepped just in time, the spell hitting the wall behind him with a sickening thud, leaving a charred mark.

"Bellatrix!" he called out, his voice carrying a cold fury. "Give up! You're outnumbered!"

But she only laughed, a high, chilling sound that echoed through the alley. "Outnumbered? I think not, Shacklebolt!" She raised her wand, chanting in a language none of them recognized. Dark energy gathered around her, swirling in thick tendrils as her curse took shape.

Dumbledore stepped forward, his wand raised, and with a swift motion, he sent a beam of white light toward her, disrupting her spell. Bellatrix staggered back, her eyes widening in shock as the magic around her dissipated. She looked at Dumbledore, fury and fear in her gaze, but she held her ground, snarling as she launched herself back into the fight.

Watching from the shadows, Harry frowned as the scene in front of him descended further into chaos. Aurors and Death Eaters clashed relentlessly in Knockturn Alley, spells flying and curses echoing off the narrow walls. Blood and dust mixed on the ground, and the air was thick with screams and the unmistakable smell of burnt magic. His stomach churned slightly—no matter how much he prepared himself, seeing it all unfold was different than he imagined. The frenzy, the sheer disregard for life—it was more brutal than any of the duels he'd seen in his training sessions.

He frowned, as the battle had turned into a messy deadlock, spells flying wildly with little gain on either side. Dumbledore stood amidst the chaos, holding his own as he deflected curses with practiced ease, but he wasn't fully engaging. It was as if he were waiting for something—or someone.

Harry's mind spun as he watched the old man scan the area between casting spells. Maybe Dumbledore was expecting "Albus Riddle" to make an appearance. Mundungus might've tipped him off, leading him to believe Harry would intervene, but instead of storming in, Harry was watching from the shadows. If Dumbledore wanted to gamble with lives to force Harry's hand, he would be waiting a long time. Harry wouldn't be pulled into the fight just to play the villain, and he wasn't going to clean up Dumbledore's mess.
