Chapter 398 – Family is The Best Sponsor
"Finding good sponsors isn't as easy as finding a pebble on the ground. It requires something more." The Spencer's heir started, "I bet you have gained a few sponsorship offers, but you refused them due to their clause. Maybe the profit is too small for someone of your worth."
Indeed, that was the case. The offer from the three companies that wanted to sponsor him before was too small. It wasn't even worth considering.
"I doubt many companies could offer good sponsorship to you, whose growth could even break the record for new streamers. When the Streamer War is held, which date you will find out soon, your worth probably doubles… No, triple from what you are worth right now."
If someone said that, Max would think they were delusional. But this came from Peter Spencer, a talented businessman and a fellow streamer. He could be trusted.
"Lily's worth is now still a bit higher than you after she revealed the fact that she's White Lily, but you will match her pretty soon. Only big companies or luxury brands will be able to afford your sponsorship. And the latter probably will give you a big cut but small profit."
"That's troublesome."
Unlike normal companies, only a few people could afford a luxury brand. He actually didn't hope to get much from the cut given by Miracle Boutique. But, the number that Georgina offered as an advance payment was enough to cover his profit.
"Indeed." Peter nodded, sipping his coffee again. "You have two choices. This applies for you too, Lily. I know you make enough money to live comfortably with Max, but I doubt you don't want to spend your time in a tiny apartment until you die. You need sponsorship to get more money."
'Tiny apartment… Well, compared to where he lived, my place is indeed tiny.' Max thought, taking no shame in his apartment. Peter just spoke the truth. And he knew that Lily's brother wanted the best for her.
"What's the choice?" Max asked curiously and Lily nodded. She was also curious as her brother sounded pretty serious.
"First, you have to reach out to the sponsor yourself. Like Miracle Boutique, you have to appeal to them. Show what you are worth and what you could do to them." Peter raised his index finger. "From a businessman's point of view, they only care about one thing only. Profit."
"Yeah, that's not exactly a secret." Max huffed a sigh. "What's the second choice?"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"No need to be impatient." Peter's expression turned to normal. "The second choice is a bit similar to the first one. But the difference is clear."
Same but different. Max was unable to understand what Peter talked about.
"Your expression needs to be controlled more. I can know that you're confused by my words just by looking at your face."
"Hahaha, I've been slacking on that recently." Max laughed. Inside, though, he felt pretty bad. He thought that his poker face was perfect.
'I need to practice it again.' He thought.
"Well, putting that aside." Peter looked straight at him. "I will offer you sponsorships from Spencer Company and Green Leaf Co."
"Huh?"
That caught Max off guard. What the heck was this man saying?
'I just need advice to get sponsors, but he offered to become a sponsor? And from two of his companies at that.'
Rather, was it okay to decide that? Green Leaf Co. aside, Spencer Company was a large company which the Spencer Family shared. The highest decision was still held by Scott Spencer and his wife, Nicole.
"We are currently reaching out to many streamers to promote our new project. This is a project with a full ambition from Spencer Family. And the head of that project is me, so I have the say in reaching out to streamers. And I think you're qualified enough for this."

"A new project…" Max muttered. "But that's Spencer Company. What about Green Leaf Co.?"
"This new project is a collaboration between two companies." Peter added casually. "And there is a reason why I want to sponsor you."
The heir of Spencer Family paused for a while and turned serious.
"To be honest, we need your help. Or rather, you, Atlas, and Ferin, people who have the highest Synchronization Rate." He explained. "I can't go into details until you sign the sponsorship contract. I can only say this project involves a commodity that will sell better than a hot cake."
"Brother, I've never heard of this project." Lily said in a displeased tone.
"Sorry, Lily. But this is a top secret that only a few select individuals know. Not even our uncles and aunts know about this yet."
"And you invite Max to this secret project without telling me." Lily pouted, her cheek inflated.
"Ugh! It's not like I don't want to tell you, but it needs to be kept a secret."
"I guess you don't love me anymore. As I thought, Max is the best."
"Argh!"
It was effective. Critical hit landed on Peter's heart. He slumped on the table while clutching on his chest.
Max looked at his girlfriend and noticed a smirk on her face.
'When did she learn something like this?'
Maybe she already knew how to play with his brother's feelings. But now Max realized who actually had the power between both of them. And he also found that Peter actually was a good actor.
All the girls in the cafe now didn't care about him at all. They could talk more comfortably now.
'As Lily said earlier, he actually is just acting.' Max was impressed. His acting looked genuine. 'Well, he's genuinely hurt, but his overreacting is just acting. I see, so I should overreact like that in order to make people think I am a fool. I learned something.'
Once again, putting everything aside, Max had come into a decision. He could somehow guess what kind of project Spencer Company did from earlier conversation.
"Peter. When can we sign the contract?" He asked with a friendly smile on his face. "I'd like to help with the project if my ability is deemed sufficient. There is no way I would refuse my big brother's offer."
"..." Peter raised his head, his expression was complicated. "Just… Don't call me big brother. Somehow that sounds so wrong." He said. "But I am glad you are on board. I will call our lawyer to bring the contract. And I will introduce him to you.
He's a trustworthy one, in case you need him in the future."
"Much appreciated, brother."
"I told you not to call me brother..."
