Chapter 383 Recruitment Stones
Lysandra knew that Shane and his team were the top rankers in the recent Boss Raid Event. Her team only managed to clear the third stage, and they didn't dare to enter the fourth stage at all.
They only have one life, so needless to say, they didn't dare to gamble.
"Shane will be fine… Even if you pit him against five Giant Zombies, he'll definitely walk out alive." Lysandra said with confidence, as he knew very well that Shane was the Top 1 Survivor. He was the strongest Survivor out there and he had numerous tricks he could use to win almost any battle.
'Five Giant Zombies?'
Captain Wei and the others repeated at the same time in their minds as they looked at Lysandra. Although the Automated Turret was incredibly useful against humans, it could be easily stomped by a Giant Zombie. After all, the Turret's energy bullet was small, and it couldn't immediately kill a Giant Zombie… Even if it did, the Zombie's huge body would crush this Turret if they collapsed on it.
Fighting against five Giant Zombies was a bit of an exaggeration in their opinion.
Nonetheless, they believed that they were lovers, so it wasn't too surprising that she would elevate Shane's abilities.
'She must be proud of him…' All of them thought along this line as they could tell that Lysandra truly looked up to him.
In any case, their group stayed in this place as they waited for Shane to return. The Automated Turret was with them anyway. Even if they encountered some threat, the Turret should be strong enough to protect them against most Zombies in this area.

In the meantime, while chasing the three Survivors from the Mystic Mirage Clan, Shane was already checking the third Survivor Talent that caught his interest.
Well, he wasn't really expecting too much since these Survivors had been too easy to kill. It means that their Talents weren't that great to begin with. Furthermore, their levels hadn't even reach twenty while he was already a level 37 Survivor.
However, despite not expecting a lot from them, he was still quite happy with the loot he obtained.
[ You have earned 50 Experience Points. ]
[ You have earned 1 Reputation Point. ]
[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x1, 100mL Human Blood ( O+ ), Mining Skill, Monkey Tail Talent ]
[ You have reached the limit of Survivor Talents. Monkey Tail ( Exceptional ) was not added. ]
[ Do you want to remove one of your current Survivor Talents to accommodate the Monkey Tail Talent? ]
[ Hint: You can only have 7 Survivor Talents, but you can check the Reputation Store occasionally, and perhaps you'll find a Talent Expansion Pack! ]
The Monkey Tail Talent caught him off guard. After all, this was already a mutation…
"Cloud, did you notice a Survivor with a tail among the corpses?" Shane asked.
[ Yes. He tried escaping, but I used the Turret to eliminate him. Two energy bullets on his body and one on his head killed him. ] Cloud promptly replied.
He certainly couldn't tell what was happening outside the illusion, but thankfully, Cloud was built differently.
Then, an idea came into his mind…
"So it's like that… How is he escaping at that time? Is he using that tail to grab on vines or branches?" Shane asked curiously.
[That's correct. ] Cloud replied
Shane couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of a human copying a monkey's movement.
Nonetheless, it was an Exceptional Skill, so it was definitely a useful ability. Perhaps, the tail could even hold a sword or any weapons.
However, he wouldn't know about this as he decided not to accept the skill.
As for the other Survivor Skills and Talents, Shane wasn't able to obtain something new from them. Most of the skills were a bit too common.
However, he was thankful enough to obtain Archery, Danger Sense, and Taunt Skill once again…
It must be remembered that the Archery Skill was previously used to fuse with other skills to obtain the Shadow Hunt Skill. On the other hand, the Danger Sense was used to obtain Heightened Awareness and lastly, the Taunt Skill was used to obtain the Brawler's Fury.
'I can actually obtain those skills again.' Shane gently nodded as he recalled that it was impossible in Fairy Realm. On the other hand, he hadn't tried it in the A.I. Rebellion since he didn't have Complete Loot Talent during that time.

Anyway, the wait was finally over as Shane watched the three remaining members of the Mystic Mirage Clan retreat in their base without being noticed.
'So this is their stronghold…' Shane thought as he observed the base of the Clan.
It actually took them 40 minutes to reach this place. The hunting ground that they found was actually that far.
"Can't they find a closer Zombie Den?" Shane muttered as he glanced at the watchtowers and patrols around.
The base of the Mystic Mirage Clan was indeed a heavily fortified compound nestled deep within the forest. There were high wooden palisades surrounding the perimeter, and more than ten watchtowers at each corner. They were manned by vigilant guards carrying bows and arrows…
The entrance was guarded by a massive gate and it was reinforced with steel and guarded by two sentries.
Shane crouched behind a thick bush, using his Perception Skill to scan the area. His A.I. Assistant, Cloud, provided additional data, confirming that there were at least fifty people inside the compound. The atmosphere within was one of debauchery and revelry, with the clan members indulging in food, drink, and other vices.
"Is there some sort of celebration?" Shane muttered to himself.
During this time, the three who had escaped them should've sent a message to their leaders already. They should be aware that a group of Survivors had killed their friends.
To be honest, Shane was expecting that the people here were ready to march and take revenge on their fallen comrades.
'What's going on?' Shane was confused as this was completely different from what he had expected.
'Do they not care about those people we killed?'
He couldn't help but consider this thought. Perhaps there was some sort of internal conflict within this shelter that made some of them celebrate about the death of their comrades instead of arming up for revenge.
Anyway, the fact that they tried to kill them was already a death sentence to them. One of those who had escaped had even left some words about their vengeance. There was no way Shane would just ignore that, considering that they already knew their faces.
He then took a moment as he planned how to deal with this Clan. After all, the fifty or so people here had survived for a long time.
Most of them weren't even summons or recruits. This means that they have different Talents that he had no idea about. It wouldn't even be surprising if they had several survivors with Epic Talents inside.
Because of that, he had no confidence of eliminating all of them.
After some consideration, he donned his Zombie Mask to avoid being known, even if some of them managed to escape from his grasp.
Soon, he felt the familiar transformation overtaking his body…
Just like that, his body morphed into that of a Hunter-Like Zombie…
As for Silver, his metal slime, he decided to transform into a helmet to protect his head…
At this time, his features was already unrecognizable.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
With his disguise complete, he activated his Zombie Recruitment Stone… They were the stones he had obtained from Merchant Darwin before.
'Alright… Let's see what surprise I'll get this time… If you'll be a Crawler Zombie, I'll have to get a refund from that merchant.' Shane thought to himself as he waited for what was about to come.
In just a few moments, Shane saw the mysterious gray fog and brought him two large Zombies…
'Ohhh… Is it a Crusher Zombie?' Shane thought as he saw the silhouette…
However, he soon realized that he had just summoned two Tyrant Zombies.
"Tyrant Zombies!"
The massive creatures appeared with a low growl, and their eyes also glowed with bloodlust
Shane immediately jumped back as he observed the two unmoving Tyrants. He was worried that these two were untameable and would attack him instead.
Thankfully, the Tyrant Zombies didn't seem to have any intention of attacking him.
Whew~
Shane heaved a sigh of relief as he then instructed the two Zombies.
"Attack the camp," Shane commanded… Since had transformed into a Zombie, his voice was quite deep and hoarse at the same time…
The Tyrant Zombies then looked at him as if making sure who he was before they obeyed and charged towards the stronghold with terrifying speed!
'Ahh… I should've given them some weapon or defensive gears.' Shane thought as he watched the Tyrant Zombies charged at the main gate…
Boom!
The guards at the gate barely had time to react before the Tyrant Zombies crashed through the entrance, their massive fists smashing the reinforced steel.
Panic erupted within the stronghold as the clan members scrambled to defend themselves!
